How Fragile We Are

Good Evening! It’s been another crazy busy day here are Visible Image, just a few days left to get everything finished before we head off to Creativation.

Heading to the show..? come and say Hi! We’re @ BOOTH #539 in the International Pavilion!

Did you see this morning’s NEW stamps reveal?

Well Heather Mitchell is here to tell you more about one of her awesome projects created with our NEW ‘How Fragile’ stamp set from our Day 4 preview…

Hello everyone and a very happy belated new year to you all…

Exciting times at Visible Image HQ where so much has been happening! Mark has designed the most amazing/beautiful/stunning stamps… they truly are unlike anything else on the market.

Today’s designs unveiled include this gorgeous design called ‘How Fragile’ and, like all the other stamps, is available for pre-order from tomorrow, Friday 12th January.

I’ve made a few projects using the stamps in this set, but I particularly like the simplicity in this monochrome tag.

To begin with, I’ve taken damp watercolour paper and blown/dribbled black watercolour paint and graphite ink around it to look as though the colour is spilling out from the effect.

Once fully dry, I stamped the cracked image in white opaque embossing powder over the black drips and then painted the centre to give a ‘hole’ effect.  Next, to enhance the smashed look, I’ve added a thick layer of Distress Crackle Paint into several of the shards (the thicker you use the crackle paint, the better results you get).

IMG_4905

In keeping with the colour scheme, I’ve then stamped the ‘How Fragile We Are’ sentiment in the same white heat embossing powder onto grey card and then matted it onto the same black card I’ve matted the actual tag on to.

The other members of the design team have come up with some amazing designs using the stamps so do keep an eye on the Visible Image blog for all the latest photos.

It’s an exciting time for Helen and Mark… and for the design team too as for many of us it’s the first time our work will be shown at Creativation… and that is a HUGE deal in the crafting industry!

If you’re lucky enough to be going… pop along to Booth 539 and say hello to the fabulous Helen and Mark and see the gorgeous samples created.. I have a feeling they are going to be incredibly busy over in Phoenix when everyone sees how outstanding and diverse their stamps are!

That’s all for today but I’ll be back very soon as I have so much to share with you in the next few weeks as I can’t seem to stop creating with these gorgeous new stamps!

Thanks for looking as always!

Glimmer of Light

Hello there! After a blogging break and well earned rest over the holidays, our Design Team are all revved up and excited to share lots of awesome new inspiration!

Kicking off the year in amazing style, here’s Lanette Erickson..

Hello All!

Today it is my turn to share & hopefully inspire you here on the Visible Image Blog.

So I thought I would share a layered tag I created featuring the Glimmer of Light Stamp Set. After all its the stamp that drew me to Visible Image and it really is my favorite set. I just love the stunning moth, he is giant and makes the perfect focal point. As you can see here…..

Products Used: Visible Image Glimmer of Light Stamp Set, Lindy’s Stamp Gang Sprays: Voodoo Violet Blue, Witch’s Potion Purple, Delphinium Turquoise, Screamin Banshee Black and Blazin Black. Lindy’s Stamp Gang Purely White and Obviously Black Embossing Powder. Watercolor Pencils. Ranger -Glossy Accents, Foam Tape, Watercolor Paper. Versa Mark Stamp Pad, Stazon Ink Pad, Prima/Finnabair Acrylic Sparks Paint- Raven Black and Metallique – White Pearl. A bit of ribbon, a few rhinestones and an eyelet from my stash.

See, he really is just beautiful and the perfect focal point!

Now you can see why he is my favorite!

Plus, the verse is such a perfectly positive message, you really can’t go wrong with this stamp set.

Now let’s a better look at the compete stamp set….

Glimmer of Light

Now before you go let’s take a closer look at my tag.

Here you can see the layers of both tags each with the same beautiful background.

I created this background using Lindy’s Sprays on watercolor paper and I let them air dry, for a soft smooth shimmer.

Additionally, you can see both layers of the moth. The fussy cut moth that I gave a little pop too using a bit of foam second is stamped directly on the tag.

Now make sure you stop by and join the fun over in our Visible Image Facebook Group!

We have a lot going on this month and you don’t want to miss anything!!

Trust me you want to see what is coming your way next week!!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

I hope that I have inspired you in some way!

Incredible tag Lanette.. thank you! Your moth is stunning! And check out that background.. WOW! ♡

Adventures Lie Ahead!

Good Evening (or morning/afternoon depending where you are in the world)!

Veerle Moreels is here to inspire you on the blog today. The stamps featured on her tag are THE perfect stamps for how we are feeling at the moment…. ‘Destination Unknown’…although we DO know the destination: PHOENIX, what will come of our first time exhibiting at Creativation is unknown!

‘Destination Inspiration’ is one of the show hashtags… we certainly hope we will be inspiring and wowing some fabulous store owners there!

If you own a store and want to find out more about stocking our stamps and stencils please get in touch!

Or if you would like your local store to stock us.. let them know!

Ok on to today’s inspiration, and another brilliant video from Veerle…

Wouldn’t it be great if sometimes we could take a peak in the future? It would make some decisions a lot easier but… it would spoil a lot of excitement too. We have to admit that sometimes not knowing what is coming is pretty exciting. And each day we get a little closer we feel the excitement grow.
For todays project…I had my video camera on again, so enjoy the video!

Destination Happy

Hello! We are back with more fabulous inspiration this evening!

Heather Mitchell has been creating THE most gorgeous texture..

Hello everyone…

How is everyone doing?  As I write this it’s a ridiculously miserable day,  dark, drizzly, windy and chilly and just the sort of day I want to tuck myself up in a duvet… however, my new make for Visible Image definitely blows away the cobwebs!

As November is ‘Tag Challenge’ time over in the Visible Image Facebook group, for my inspiration this week I’ve chosen a tag I made using the Strobes stencil:

I have to admit, I absolutely adore my finished tag.  The colours are just so vibrant!  It was very easy to create (albeit a bit on the messy side!)

The tag is made from 300gsm watercolour paper, this way I knew it would soak up the colour well.

I’ve used modelling paste through the stencil and allowed it to dry overnight.  I’ve then used various Distress Ink Sprays to drip colour from the middle and pour it down the strobes but I haven’t sprayed the ink, I removed the top and used a pipette to gulp up the ink and then drip.

I wasn’t entirely happy with my tag at this point and felt it needed yet more colour so I dabbed some Distress Oxides on my craft mat, sprayed with water and then dipped the tag in the ink. To add a little sparkle, I’ve added splash of gold spritzing ink, which you can see glowing nicely in the photo above!

The little Origami boat stamps are adorable and I love it in this colour against the hot colours

As the background is so vibrant, I kept the detail simple and used just one of the fabulous Origami boat’s from Destination Unknown set held in place using 3D foam dots over some fibres that I’ve stapled down. There are a few droplets of Liquid Glass on their too which adds a lovely different texture.

The sentiments have been stamped on white card and I’ve distressed the edges using Distress Ink pads before matting them onto black card.  To finish, I’ve threaded some bright pink and red ribbon through the punched hole which echoes the colours perfectly.

And there you go!  This make is a definite keeper… you know, those projects you make that you can’t bear to give away and you just get out to look at lovingly now and again! Hehe!

Right… here’s the ingredients for the tag:

Visible Image Products:

Strobes Stencil:

Destination Unknown stamp set:

Distress Ink Products:
Sprays – Picked Raspberry, Spiced marmalade, Candied Apple,
Oxide Ink Pads – Worn Lipstick, Abandoned Coral

Other items:
Indigo Blu ‘Luscious Pigment Powder’ in Pink, Docrafts Spritzing Ink in Gold, DecoArt Liquid Glass, Stayzon Ink Pad in Jet Black, Fibre, 3D Foam Dots

Thank you for looking and hope to see you next time!

Believing in Magic

Hi there! We have some magical inspiration from Jane Tyrrell here on the blog this evening…

Good Evening, it’s time for my Monday inspiration for Visible Image. We have 10 days left for our tags challenge over on Facebook so I thought I would share another tag.

I went over to the pink fantasy world as this was made for my 4 year old granddaughter.

I worked with the awesome:

I created a magical sky oxide background using the wrinkle free technique

I stamped the unicorn in blue ink and triple embossed him with several embossing powders until I thought he looked very “magical”! I then fussy cut him out.

Some while back I made a Pegasus card and to make my unicorn even more magical I added wings again from the Angels are Near set

I also added Stickles glitter to the mane and tail and glamour dust to the hooves.

I added my stamping..the moon, clouds, start and sentiment are all from this great set

The gold embossing is very rich… it’s hard to show above as this photo was taken in my studio where there is now not a lot of natural light.

I also added some white starry glints to my sky using the Cosmic Skies stencil and white pigment ink.

I then put on my creative hat to put my tag together….here it is

We would love to see you join in with our ‘tag’ challenge over on Facebook for your chance to WIN a £40 coupon!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Back soon.
Bye for now,
Jane x

Create Texture!

Hi there! We are excited to be sharing the very first Design Team projects from Elisa Ablett here on the blog tonight…

Hi everyone,
Elisa here from the design team with my first post representing Visible Image, this is so exciting for me, it’s a dream team with the most exciting arty stamps and stencils!

For my first post and in keeping with the November ‘make a tag’ challenge theme over at Visible Image Facebook Group, I created the following tags..

For my first tag – I wanted to create a bold and vibrant mixed media tag using colourful and exciting mediums including Pebeo Metallic Paints and Colour Crush Powders from Tinby Designs and of course some lovely stamps from the Visible Image (Just be Happy and The Ripple Effect – Stamp Sets)

Products Used:

For my second ‘tag’ (which is more like an ATC) I went a little darker in both the tone and mood of the project. The background is on a thick black cardstock as my base, I then layered Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks in Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap plus Blueberry Colour Crush Powder from Tinby Designs.

Next step was to use the fabulous Fibres Stencil along with some Colour Blast Bling Paste to add some texture.
I then stamped and fussy cut the main feature – the Skeleton from Mr Bone Jangles stamp set and using 3D mounting tape for depth.

Products used:

That’s it from me today, I hope you have enjoyed seeing how you can utilise your Visible Image stamps with mixed media projects!

Hugs xx
Elisa

Awesome inspiration for our challenge Elisa! Gorgeous splattered paint and loving all the texture on your second project.. our Fibres stencil looks amazing!! Thank you ♡
