Bloom and Grow

Hi there! We have loads of amazing inspiration coming your way over the next few days!

First up on the blog today is Lisa Taggart with an incredible project featuring our NEW ‘Bloom and Grow’ stamp set.. a really ‘alternative’ baby set…

Hello everyone it’s Visible Image day again! Today’s piece was briefly shared on the day of the 2018 new stamp launch in early January. It’s also been lucky enough to travel to Creativation! Time now  to share it in a little more detail.

Here are the stamp sets I used. Firstly the new set:

And some older favourites:

Leave Your Fears

Create it

To create the piece the baby image was heat embossed in black on to watercolour card and then masked using masking fluid. The background was sprayed using a mixture of ink sprays including mica sprays. I wanted the area around the image to be bright and to gradually darken into a mix of colours. I used a bright yellow acrylic ink for the centre. I liked the textures created by the sprays.

The finger print was stamped in black and then again using stamping glue. Gilding flakes were added on top. It wasn’t entirely successful but from certain angles the gold flecks shine through.

To create the roots I selected two elements from the other sets. These, along with the leaves and ‘love’ sentiment were heat embossed in black. I also sprinkled some granules of black embossing power either side of the image to create more texture.

The masking fluid was removed and the flower in the centre coloured pink. I blended distress oxide ink in blue and black around the edges. Some extra aqua tint ink in gold and black was flicked for good measure!

The artwork was mounted onto complimentary card. The sentiment stamped, inked and mounted underneath as the final touch.

A little different I think you will agree!

I recommend these stamps. Lovely quality and very versatile.

Until next time.

Baby Love

Hello! We have lots of wonderful inspiration coming your way here on the blog today.

First up is Pauline Butcher with a fabulous plaque…

Hi there,

It’s time for another of my creations, using some more of the brand new Visible Image Stamp sets.

As you probably know, Helen and Mark were over in Phoenix, for the Creativation Show, showing the US the awesome new stamps that they have designed. This is one of the samples they took with them…

The stamps I used on this plaque are…

Fibonacci

Bloom & Grow

and ‘Organics

I used a plaque I had in my stash, the top part of it is grey-board, I coated this with my Dylusion paints, using a blending tool, I used 5 colours, and let it dry.

Using a gold ink pad, I stamped the Fibonacci, and I also stamped a couple of the Organics at the bottom of the plaque, using a Distress Ink. I then stamped the brilliant thumb print, using an embossing pad, and heat embossed it with white embossing powder, I also heat embossed the sentiment at the top, this time with black powder.

I stamped the baby, onto a piece of white card, using an embossing pad, and also did the same with one of the stamps out of the Organics set, so the two stamped images connected on the card, using Back powder, I heat embossed it, then fussy cut it. I did the same with the Love word. I coloured the flower using Distress Inks.

The bottom part of the plaque is MDF, I used an embossing pad all around the edges, then used an ultra thick embossing powder, in Black and Gold, and heat set it with my heat tool, I glued the top to the bottom, using 3D glue gel, and then using the same glue, I added the baby and the Love.

Thanks for your visit.
Hugs Pauline xxxx

We were so proud to display this stunning plaque at the show.. thank you Pauline

Blooming Lovely

Hello! We hope you have enjoyed Day 1 of our NEW stamps previews!

Jane Tyrrell is here today with details of how she created her amazing card that we previewed on our blog earlier today…

Today is a very special day as I am absolutely delighted to be able to share my first Design Team sample made with 2 of the brand new Visible Image stamp sets which are being previewed all this week!

The new stamps are being launched in the USA at Creativation which Helen and Mark,  aka Mr and Mrs Visible Image, are attending for the very first time in 10 days time. They will be flying the flag for their awesome brand which I have the joy of being able to design for.

The new stamps will be available to pre order from 12th January!

Over the last month I have secretly been beavering away working on some of the new designs and I have made several projects with them. I will be sharing them all over the coming weeks.

The first stamp sets that I am showcasing are..

Bloom and Grow…  an amazing and totally unique stamp baby set, and Organics… a large A5 set which has so many uses. I can see trees branches, twigs, the sky, the seas, seaweed, frost, ink splats and drips…. the list is endless.

Amazing aren’t they and so original!

These 2 sets work perfectly together and I decided to make my very own bloom and growing flower baby card.

I’ve been so busy that I have not got many process photos on file so here is my step by step in words…
First I took some Kraft card and added some walnut stain and antique linen distress oxides, using the wrinkle free technique. Once dry I stamped the fingerprint in red Versafine Claire ink and then added the love stamp from bloom and grow to make the stalk. I then used Organics to stamp some more foliage using a mixture of Distress oxides and Versafine inks.

I then added lots of lovely frantage to give some sparkle and texture… and make a very “organic” card.
I stamped and embossed the baby and the sentiment and added them to finish off my card.

Here it is..

Just look at the details of the baby…. I love the little flower inside …such a fab finishing design touch by Mark. I highlighted this one in white but in other projects I have also coloured it in… the choices are endless.

Here are a couple of close ups;

Prepare to be wowed by this awesome new release. Mark Alexander has, as always, designed the most original, unique stamps, unlike any others you will see in the stamping market. They are a total joy to design with and so versatile. All you need is your imagination!

I am so proud that my some of my work will be travelling all the way to the USA to be displayed.

I will be back on Thursday sharing another card sample I made using another set from the new release….. I can’t give you a sneak peek but I will give a very, very cryptic clue to my card…… I will digging out a couple of my old paperbacks to photograph too……. tee hee!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Keep snug, it’s turned very chilly here.

Bye for now,
Jane x
