Colourful World

Hello! We are here to share more gorgeous inspiration with you here on the blog.

Elina Strömberg has two stunning tags to share with you today…

Hi and happy Thursday!

Even if spring has not really started in Finland yet, my mind is already shifted from dull grey winter to the colourful, blooming season ahead of us. Inspired by the increasing amount of colour in the scenery I made two tags with Visible Image stamps and Distress Oxide colours in the background:

One of the coolest things about new Distress Oxide inks is that you can easily layer the colours and create vibrant colour combinations.

Just dry each colour layer with your heat gun before applying the next layer; new layers will not react with the ones underneath.

For both of these tags I used three different Distress colours. For highlighting the colours even more
it’s always a good thing to use a bit of black or white for contrast; those will make the colours pop!

I added a hint of black with a Visible Image script background stamp. I did not use a mounting block
but held the stamp it in my hand, bending it when stamping the texture on the tag.

I added some texture on the tag by gluing down pieces of a honeycomb chipboard sheet.

Then I stamped the lovely flowers in three sizes on white paper, coloured them with Promarkers and cut out.
Before gluing them on the tags I bent the flower petals gently for creating a dimensional look.

I decorated the flowers with small seed beads.

As much I love the quote text on the ‘Black & White World’ stamp I had to cut it to smaller pieces in order to fit the texts on the tags. In addition I did not want to cover the colourful background complete with the word strips, so leaving out parts of the quote was the way to go this time.

Reassembling the quote on both of the tags was actually a fun thing to do; versatile stamps can be used in so many ways!

Good Afternoon! We are back with more gorgeous inspiration for you this afternoon.

My image “Butterfly INKognito” has been stamped using distress inks onto some white card. I then stamped the ”Bronte Script to add some dimension.

The sentiment, from the ”Sunshine Set, was next to be stamped before splattering some distress ink all over the card and inking the edge.

I Love You Just The Way You Are

Good Evening 🙂 We are back with our 2nd post today!

Here’s Kim Robertson with some gorgeous new inspiration for you…

Hi Folks

Wow I have sunshine streaming in my window … Is it spring.. yayyyy.

How are you all doing? Have you made anything lately? I would love to know what projects your all working on?

Today of course is Visible Image day and I have a little a pretty little card using some gorgeous stamps and I wanted to show that you don’t need huge stamps to create something special.. going along with the theme of using a backing stamp in a different way really.

Anyway I hope you like it so here it is.

Visible Image stamps - I Love You Just The Way You Are - Kim Robertson

It’s a little different for me but I love it, I wanted to go with the clean and simple theme but with my own little twist of course.

I started with an off white piece of card and Using my Retro Dots background with black ink around the edges in a random pattern and heat set it.

I then took some fired brick distress ink and used My Bronte Script stamp in the same random way. I used the same ink to add some colour to the very edge of the card so we had no white edges and it helped to blend the patterns a little. I then gave it a couple of mats and layers in black and white card and made a mat for the very back and put them together with a layer of foam in between.

This is what it looked like without the mats and layers.

I then took my sentiment stamp From The Sunshine set of stamps recently launched not too long ago, and stamped in black on the same off white card and edged it lightly in Fired Brick and gave it a black mat which I added faux sparkly stitching to with a gelly pen. I also coloured in the little heart with the sparkles.

I added foam to the back of the sentiment and added it to the card. I then took a few flowers and coloured them from white to red and made up a couple of little bunches and twisted some wire into curls too and added it to opposite corners off the sentiment.

Lastly I added a little highlight in some of the dots with that same sparkle pen and took some black sparkly gems and added them to the odd few dots and the corners for texture interest but I loved how it looked in the end as the stones were very black and sparkly.

And here again is the finished image…

Visible Image stamps - Just The Way You Are - Kim Robertson

Here are the stamps I used on this one..

Bronte Script                                          Sunshine Set

I hope you like this one and it shows again that you do not need  to always have a huge focal piece to create something elegant and pretty you can look at what you have and see what works , you don’t need to use the entire stamp, look at corners and edges and see what you can do my lovlies.

Have a lovely Wednesday and I hope the sun is shining for you where you are too.
Huge hugs
Love
Kim

Make Me Smile – Visible Image stamps

Hello There! Today we have double the inspiration for you here on the Visible Image blog!

First up it’s the amazing Zoey Emanuela Scarpelli…

Hello Crafters!

Here we are again with a new card for you! Today I want to show you another easy peasy card I made with the Visible Image stamps. This is my second post using their stamps and I have to tell you that I fell in Love!
If you missed my first post, you can find it by clicking here.

The stamps set I have used for this card are:

– Flower Inkognito
– Bronte – Script
– Make me Smile Set Quote

I started off with a background created with distress ink. I smudged some color over my kraft sheet, added some water and let the colors go through the paper and let them blend together. I then stamped the Flower Inkognito with the archival ink. What I like most about this stamp, is that it comes in two pieces…so you can easily use just the flower to create fantastic background too!

When the background was dry, I added more stamping with Bronte – Script  — that so far is one of my favorite stamp background. To stamp that, I used the same colors of my background, but this time I used distress markers!

For my sentiment, I colored the background paper with some colors left over I had left over the kraft sheet and with archival ink again I stamped the sentiment from Make me Smile Set Quote.  I stamped the main part trying to stay centered, then I stamped again slightly moving on the left to create the shadow effect.

To finish it off I added some splatters of black ink and did my frame.
And there is the card..

What do you think about it?

From this month over the Facebook group we have a new challange called
“SHOW & TELL” where we ask you to share with us your creations using Visible Image stamps, and also tell us the story behind the creation! So make sure to visit the Facebook Group!!
