Battle Scars

Hi there! We have more gorgeous NEW stamps inspiration for you here on the blog today.

Veerle Moreels has been creating with one of our beautiful new quotes…

Did you see the new stamps Visible Image has released? If you haven’t, you really should go and check them out. As a member of their DT, I was already sent some of these beauties but they are available to pre-order and will be mailed 13th of February so the wait isn’t that long anymore.

I had so much fun creating with the new stamps and my head is filled with a lot more ideas, but that shouldn’t be any surprise when seeing the designs.

For my first project I’m sharing with these new releases I chose for a text stamp to that many of you probably can relate to…

Now I could have just sewed my scar using an needle and thread, but my scars are strong and holding me together.

True Colours

Hi there! Thank you for coming to read today’s post! Teresa is here with some awesome Face it! inspiration…

It’s that time of year again!!! The DT are finally getting their hands on the long awaited
new release stamps from Visible Image, and this week I have been playing with the cool Face It! and Own It! sets.

2017-02-02 Visible Image - Face stamps - Face it - reveal your colours - Teresa Morgan

I wanted to create a funky 80s feel by colour blocking over the features.
I created masks for the eyes and mouth so that they would remain white,
then used a square punch to cut my rectangular stencils.

Visible Image Stamps - Face It!, Own It!

Distress Inks in Mustard Seed, Worn Lipstick, and Broken China were applied through the masks,
I created then extra detail was added with a ‘halftone’ stencil and black ink.

The words are coloured with Tonic Brush Script pens.

Dream…

Hello there! We have some stunning new inspiration to share with you from Teresa Morgan…

This week I have been using my Gelli Plate to create some fun backgrounds for my stamping projects. I have prepared a video for you showing how easy it is to whip up a batch of monoprints ready to be turned into cards, journal pages, tags and more.

I took one of them and added more details with my Visible Image stamps and WOW powders embossing powder to create this cool card:

The dreamcatchers are stamped and embossed onto heat resistant acetate before being attached with 3d glue gel.

I hope you enjoyed the video, don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel to see more fun techniques and projects from me.

Visometry @ Visible Image

Hi there! Thanks for visiting our blog today.

Pauline Butcher is here with some superb inspiration for you…

Hellooooo,

It’s Fabulous Friday, and my day to share a project I’ve created, using some of the awesome Visible Image stamps.

2017-01-13 Visible Image stamps - Visometry - spirograph stamp - inspire - Pauline Butcher

The stamps I’ve used on this card are…

The flowers : large and medium sizes of  Flowers shapes from Visometry,
The stamps on the background, and at the bottom are from De-Stressed,
again on the background I used some Ink Splats,
the sentiment is from Imagine, Dream, Inspire,
and the butterfly is from Own kind of Beautiful.

For the background, I put some Picked Raspberry & Wilted Violet distress inks onto a glass mat, spritzed them with water, and squidged my card into them, I did this 2 or 3 times, drying the card in-between to stop it going muddy. when this was all dry, with my distress tool, I added a touch of Squeezed lemonade DI to the edges, and a bit in the middle. Next, I stamped using the dots and Mustard Seed DI, and some of the ink splats using purple Starlight paint.

On a piece of black card, I stamped all the flowers, (6 small 1 large) using Versamark, and then heat embossed using Pink and Purple embossing powder from Lindy’s Stamp Gang. I fussy cut them out and thn decided to add a white medium flower to the centre of the large one.

I also added some Stardust Stickles to the flowers.

I stamped the Butterfly again using Versamark, and heat embossed it using a Black embossing powder, coloured it using Distress inks, and fussy cut it. The stems of the flowers are drawn using a Yellow Sharpie pen.

Thanks for visiting, hugs, Pauline xxxxx

Awesome card Pauline thank you! Fabulous background, love the colours and all that dimension! ♡

Sparkle in the Rain

Hello! Thank you for coming to visit our blog.

Corrie Herriman has a fabulous project to share with you today…

Hello everyone,

Today I am sharing an art journal spread which I made for Visible Image.

2017-01-10-visible-image-stamps-sparkle-in-rain-corrie-herriman

I made this on two separate pages that I later glued in my journal. Sometimes it is better to work out of the book especially when you are heat embossing. I have had paint on previous pages bubble up when I put the heat gun on the page I was doing. So by using loose paper you don’t run this risk.

The colour of these pages was put on by brayering 4 colours of PaperArtsy Fresco Chalk paints. I used two shades of green; a light and a dark, a turquoise and a plum colour.  Just start with the lightest and build up the colour. Make sure to have some white page left after every colour to fill with the next. You also could use white to reintroduce white space. After the paint dried, which takes no time at all I stamped the background with similar colours of ink. I added some holographic embossing powder over the plum ‘sparkles’, and sparkle they do !

I also stamped the word ‘sparkle’ and embossed it with white fine embossing powder by WOW.

I changed the sentiment by stamping bits of it, straight on the page and adding some doodling around the words.

The girl with the brolly was stamped straight on the page and on a separate piece of paper, cut out and adhered on top. I coloured some paper in the same colours as I used for stamping the background and used a hole puncher to get some polkadots for the brolly. I glued these on and added some white doodling on the umbrella. A few doodle lines around the pages finished it off.

I heat embossed the ‘sparkles’ with holographic embossing powder over the plum coloured ink. You can see the sparkle here…

and some more here, so pretty !

The sentiment.

The girl with her polka dotted brolly.

And the finished pages again.

I have used the following stamps:

Love you – Visible Image

Hi there! Thank you so much for visiting our blog today.

We have a stunning card to share with you today, which also has a brilliant video tutorial, created by Veerle Moreels…

It’s my turn to share a project here at Visible Image and would like to share some Inktense Visble image love ^.^  I loved combining the Visible Image stamps together this way. And I tried out the inktense colorpencils for the very first time on this card.

Curious on how I brought the 3 stamps together and how I used the pencils? I have put it all in this liddle video tutorial for you…

I’m pretty sure you will see more cards like these show up.  Maybe even recognize part of it in my Christmas cards ( I really have to get started I know 👀 ) But for now it’s this one…as we can never say “I love you” enough.

Visible Image – Don’t Exist… LIVE!

Hi there! We have more Halloween themed inspiration for you here on the blog today. Over to Teresa Morgan with a brilliant project…

With Halloween fast approaching, today’s project has a spooky feel to it.

The Z box fold card is a popular shape right now, so here is my version:

visible-image-stamps-moth-stamp-skulls-teresa-morgan

You will need two pieces of card (I used black) for the basis of this card, and some patterned or printed card to decorate the panels.

Cut one piece of black card 4.25in x 5.5in. This will be the back of your card blank.

Cut the second piece of black card 9.75in x 4in. This will be the piece you fold.

Z box fold card template

  1. Measure 3in in from left hand edge and 1in up from bottom and make a mark.
  2. Measure 3.75in from right hand edge and 1in up from bottom and make a mark.
  3. Draw a line between the two marks and cut along it.
  4. Score from the left end of the cut up to the top edge of the card.
  5. Score from the right end of the cut down to the bottom edge of the card.
  6. Measure 4.5in from left hand edge of card and score from top to bottom.

I used some gelli prints to decorate my card blank, you could use some designer papers or ink or stamp your own background designs.

The right hand panel of the folded card is glued to the other piece of black card to complete the card blank.

I stamped the large skull from the Mr Bone Jangles set onto my front panel, and the large moth from the Glimmer of Light set onto the back panel. I used a white gel pen to add some detail to the moth.

Visible Image Stamps - Mr Bone Jangles, Glimmer of Light, Tomorrow Doesn't Exist. Z Fold Box Card

I added some smaller skulls to the back panel, stamping onto a scrap of paper before stamping onto my printed background. This gives a soft ghost stamped effect.

Visible Image Stamps - Mr Bone Jangles, Glimmer of Light, Tomorrow Doesn't Exist. Z Fold Box Card

I stamped six small moths onto some printed card and fussy cut them. I added some white highlights with a gel pen before shaping the wings with my fingers. I added one moth to the large skull, and attached the others to some short lengths of florists’ wire. These were attached inside the ‘box’ with tape.

Visible Image Stamps - Mr Bone Jangles, Glimmer of Light, Tomorrow Doesn't Exist. Z Fold Box Card

Finally I stamped the words from the Tomorrow Doesn’t Exist Set and ‘adapted’ them to my needs before attaching with 3d foam!!

Halloween Potions – Visible Image

Good Evening! We promised you an amazing new project from Veerle Moreels tonight so here it is…

Who’s celebrating Halloween? Here we don’t really celebrate it but a little home decoration is always welcome so it got me thinking on a little project…

So I started in photoshop…

halloween-bottles-element

It all got measured around some of my most favorite Visible Image stamps and once it was all on the right spot I printed out my text and stamped them right in between…

And of course I just had to add some of the little moths too ^.^ They fit just perfect on those bottles!

halloween-bottles-element-4-wm

Just added some extra bottles to add some color to my project, and of course some more moths ^.^
