What’s Your Destination?

Hi there! Thanks for visiting!!

Josefine Fouarge is here to inspire you this evening with an awesome art journal page…

Woot, woot, I’m up for Visible Image and created an art journal page using the Destination Unknown stamp set. This is definitely one of my favorites, mainly because I really like the font of the sentiments. But, in just a few days, Visible Image is releasing some new stamps and they are going to be amazing – so stay tuned for that.

Till then, here is my art journal page. I started by painting a pink and purple all over the page and blended it in with white acrylic paint. I went back and forth a couple of times, till I had the effect that I wanted.

As a first layer for the background I added some light grey dots through the Cosmic Skies stencil. I then added a few more dots in white with the other end of my brush.

Now the “decorating” began. I stamped a few of the circles from the Universal set all over the page and added a few arrows to the left and right. Then I stamped the bigger paper ship and added a few waves underneath using a black watercolor pen. A smaller ship was needed for the background. I added a few more hand drawn bubbles and colored them all in with a grey and white Gelato. At the end I added a few scribbly lines (literally just gibberish 😉 ) and was done with my page.

I enjoy the idea of heading out and not knowing where to go. Most of the time I feel similar with my art. I start a page and don’t know where it will end. That’s probably why this particular stamp set speaks to me on so many levels 😀

I hope your year is going to be amazing, knowing the journey or not.

Explore Discover Journey

Hi there! We hope you have had a great Easter weekend! We are back with lots of gorgeous inspiration here on the blog today.

We are kicking off with the latest project by Corrie Herriman…

Hello everyone,

and welcome to this blog post for Visible Image. This time I have made a trio of ATC’s.

The backgrounds were made with Tim Holtz’ Distress Oxide Inks. I used ‘Fossilized Amber’, ‘Peeled Paint’,
‘Spiced Marmalade’, ‘Broken China’ and ‘Cracked Pistachio’.  Next I stamped the backgrounds with Broken
China Oxide Ink and Jet Black Archival ink.

I added some doodle lines around the edges and then stamped the main images and words.
The were cut out, apart from the map which I tore out, and adhered to the cards. The word discover
was stamped directly onto the card. I added some twine around the middle card and adhered all
three to a piece of water colour card stock. Makes a nice panel I think…

That was it. Here are some close ups:
