I stamped the flowers with Versamark ink and embossed with WOW Powders Superfine Opaque Bright White EP.  The sentiment is embossed with Bluetiful and Pink Lady EPs (also from WOW Powders).

I used Cosmo Crickets Swatch Sticks water colours to wash over the embossed flowers. The EP acts as a resist. I love the soft dreamy feel of the watercolour paint.

Be Happy – Visible Image

Hi there! Teresa is here with another fantastic project using our MDF Monoliths and stamps…

I have another monolith to share today – they are such a versatile MDF substrate. If you haven’t tried them yet, then you really should!!

Once again I made a gelli print with acrylic paints to use as my background – I love the weathered effect I got by adding a layer of white over the original paint colours.

I have used the outer ring of the ripple stamp to create frames. I stamped and embossed the whole design onto black card then carefully cut out the largest rings to make my frames.

I stamped the words directly onto the background and embossed with gold embossing powder. I added some shadows with a black fineliner pen.

Visible Image Stamps - The Ripple Effect, Tomorrow Doesn't Exist

The girl is stamped directly onto the background, and again embossed with gold embossing powder. I then stamped and embossed her  in black onto heat resistant acetate and cut out. This layer is glued over the gold figure, slightly offset to show a gold edge.

The back of the monolith is simple. I just added some embossed ripples randomly over the black paint.

So many people have commented on various projects I have created with these ripple stamps, saying how much they love them!! They really are a versatile set to have in your collection.

Hello and thank you for coming back to see us today 🙂

We are playing catch up after our time away at Ally Pally! Lots of stunning new cards and projects to share with you.

If you have got your hands on the latest issue of Craft Stamper magazine you will know that the free cover stamp is a mini Grunge Flourish designed by Mark! Pauline Butcher and Kim Bacon created some amazing projects with this awesome little stamp, and they are featured in the magazine.

Here’s Pauline’s ‘Fabulous Friday’ post from last week… (so sorry it’s late!)

Hello friends,

I’m a bit excited on three counts, the first is to have 2 more of my  Visible Image creations aired in the May 2015 Craft Stamper, my fave magazine, along with a fab mini book from my teamie Kim Bacon, and the second and third are…
To be going to Ally Pally on Sunday, which is also my Birthday! Whoooo hooooo!

On this 6″ x 6″ card again I used the free Visible Image stamp, which come with the Craft Stamper, plus… Express yourself with Art from the Never Grow Up set.

All the details for making these creations are in the magazine, so I won’t go through it all again, lol, but I hope you enjoyed the article.

Thank you for popping in, and if you’re going to Ally Pally on Sunday, please stop me and say Hi.

Hugs, Pauline xxxxxx

Gift of Happiness – Visible Image stamps

Hello and thanks for coming to see us here on the Visible Image blog today 🙂

It’s a beautiful day here in South Wales today, blue skies and sunshine, but so cold!

Kim Bacon is here to kick off a brand new week of amazing inspiration…

Hello! Welcome back to all you regular readers of the blog but a MAHOOOSIVE welcome to any new readers today! It is such a privilege to do what I do and I love letting other people know all about the fab stamps that Visible Image let me play work with!

All the links to the Visible Image website, blog, challenges, etc can be found at the bottom of this post. Also over on the ‘about us’ page you will see links to the other DT members blogs. We publish all through the week, each one of us on a different day, hopefully inspiring you to get creative with your Visible Image stash. Each DT member creates something using stamps from the range of their choice and using their own techniques. So whether you like CAS work, full on embellished pieces, cards, paint, inks, sprays, there is always something different going on with Visible Image.

Visible Image - Just Be Happy - Plasma Background - Kim Bacon

Today I am showing you a useful project in the form of a gift bag. Now I used a gift bag board template. There are several on the market and there are also lots of How2s on YouTube telling you the steps to follow if you don’t have a board template.

The main thing for this project is in the making of the patterned paper. I know I tell you this regularly, but making your own backgrounds is such fun, as well as meaning you have totally co-ordinated papers for your project!

I started with an A3 sheet of card. I coloured it with Brusho paints. Check out YouTube for some inspiring techniques. This piece required lots of watery splotches. I mixed Brusho powder with water to make a wash in the 3 colours I wanted to use. You only need a small amount of powder for this as it’s quite potent stuff! You can always make more! I will show you in the How2 I’m planning OK? I will make time this week to do it.

Once dry I took the large squiggle and small squiggle, and stamped them all over the page using inks in shades of green and blue. The stamps are officially called Plasma (the large one) and Universal (the smaller one from 6 piece set) but squiggle works for me.

I made the tag and added the sentiment which is from the Be Happy set in the Express Yourself collection which I have embossed in black.

All the stamp images I used below are ‘click to link’ so you can have a look in more detail on the Visible Image website.
