Battle Scars

Hi there! We have more gorgeous NEW stamps inspiration for you here on the blog today.

Veerle Moreels has been creating with one of our beautiful new quotes…

Did you see the new stamps Visible Image has released? If you haven’t, you really should go and check them out. As a member of their DT, I was already sent some of these beauties but they are available to pre-order and will be mailed 13th of February so the wait isn’t that long anymore.

I had so much fun creating with the new stamps and my head is filled with a lot more ideas, but that shouldn’t be any surprise when seeing the designs.

For my first project I’m sharing with these new releases I chose for a text stamp to that many of you probably can relate to…

Now I could have just sewed my scar using an needle and thread, but my scars are strong and holding me together.

News & 25% OFF code @ Visible Image

Hi there!

Thank you for taking time to visit our blog today.

As you may know, we have recently re-branded and we’re loving our ‘new look’ colourful packaging…

visible-image-promo-oct-2016

We have now stopped manufacturing the stamps ourselves but we continue to package them all in house,
and everything is still designed by Mark.

As quality is always top of our list, the etching is the deepest possible for clear photopolymer stamps,
so as always they stamp beautifully.

We had struggled to keep up with the demand for our stamps with just Mark making them,
and the waiting time for orders was long.

So we are very happy to announce that orders placed by 2pm Monday to Friday
will now be dispatched the same day!

Our stamp sets are now larger in size so we have been busy designing additional stamps
to compliment our existing sets…

You will find ALL our current designs HERE!

Sadly due to family commitments we aren’t at the Hobbycrafts show at the NEC this year.
We will really miss seeing all our regular customers at the show.

But… to celebrate our ‘new look’ we are giving you 25% OFF our stamps!*

Just enter coupon code: newlook2016
at the checkout!

*offer ends midnight UK time on Sunday November 6th

Thanks again for taking time to read about all our changes. We have lots of exciting plans for the next year!

Have a great weekend.

Smile Sparkle and Shine – Visible Image stamps

Hi there! As promised we are back with a fantastic tutorial from Kim Johnny who’s created a gorgeous canvas with our Smile Sparkle Shine sentiment this week…

Every Day needs to have some sparkle and shine 🙂

Today I am sharing the small canvas I made for my Visible Image Inspiration day! I hope you like it.

I am fortunate to have this fabulous stamp, “Smile Sparkle, Shine” to play with, thank you so much Helen & Mark! The stamp is a wonderful size and is so smooth, it makes stamping and embossing a dream!

My canvas is 5 inches by 7 inches, so you can see the stamp is a perfect size for it!

Smile Sparkle Shine - Canvas - Kim Johnny

I think my love for modelling paste and crackle paste shines through in this piece! The base flowers are made from an ARTplorations stencil, Bloom Factory applied with DecoArt modelling paste.

I got carried away with the next layers of DecoArt acrylics and crackle and did not do step by steps, sorry 🙂 !

The sentiment is stamped with Distress Embossing Ink and heat embossed in Recollections Copper. Love the shine it has! This embossing powder works really well with strong shapes.

I made the flowers and spritzed them with Distress Spray Stain, Antiqued Bronze. The diecuts are assorted Sizzix, Tonic Studios and Tim Holtz.

This photo shows all the DecoArt supplies used 🙂

Have a wonderful day! I hope you can make time this week to play and share in the Visible Image Facebook Group, love to see you there!

LOVE Yourself – Visible Image stamps

Hello There 🙂 Thank you so much for visiting our blog today!

We are catching up on the latest inspiration from our amazing team. Here’s Amber with a gorgeous new card…

Hello!
Today I have another fun Visible Image card to share.  I started by stamping my background with versamark.  I stamped the sentiment in black, and stamped the heart in versamark on a separate piece of cardstock, and cut it out.  I added three little pearls and adhered my card front to a black card base.

Create Your Imagination – Visible Image stamps

Hi, thanks for visiting our blog today 🙂

It’s a late post from us today, been a crazy busy day of stamp making and packaging here, but work is done for the day and we are about to chill out and watch some TV! First though, we just have to share Kim Bacon’s awesome new inspiration with you! Over to Kim…

Today I am showcasing one of the incredibly versatile stamps from the Visible Image EXPRESS YOURSELF range.
This one is from the This is Me set.

Visible Image stamps - Create Your Imagination - Quotes stamps - Kim Bacon

I have used an embossing folder on this one with a bark effect.Started as always by creating the background. This involved Brusho, when doesn’t it these days? I used a little of the powder colour mixed with a little water and painted it onto a good quality watercolour card. When it was dry I used the tip only of a broad flat headed brush to add little strands of orange and green. It reminds me of saffron in a way.  I then passed the dry piece of card through the embosser using a tree bark texture plate. Afterwards I swiped a clear embossing ink over the raised areas and embossed using clear powder. It makes the texture show up more.

In keeping with the texture on the background I used a little corrugated strip with a faux buckle to add interest.
The sentiment was stamped on piece of card which had been coloured with the same shades of Brusho but in an ombre way which was then splashed with water.

Scribbled Circle stamps @ Visible Image

Hi there! Thanks for coming to visit the Visible Image stamps blog today. We have double the inspiration for you today, as always on a Wednesday… In fact we have FOUR amazing cards to share with you! Yes FOUR 🙂

Lisa has been creating some truly stunning backgrounds, so make sure you pop back later on to see what she’s been making!

Here with today’s first post it’s the lovely Kim Robertson…

Hi folks.. Happy Wednesday!

I hope you all had some of the nice sunshine we had yesterday, it was good to leave work A. in the daylight and B. in the sunshine and no rain wow… could it be that Spring is starting to wake up.. Oh I hope so.

Anyway I hope you are all doing well and I have a really different card for you today using a background stamp called Orbital from the new launch which really could be turned into anything, or used for anything. It could be used for mixed media and journalling also and would look great in white on black or in bright neons as a colour flash too. I used it in conjunction with one of the more recent word stamps with a different edge.

I did lots of layering as usual to enhance the backing to keep it neat and added a couple of little wooden dragonflies colouring with inks to match and some sparkle to catch the light in a couple of the corners and on the body of the dragonflies too.

I love the colour combination of teal and duckegg blue with latte and browns.

Visible Image stamps - Karma - Orbital - Scribbled Circles - Kim Robertson

I also blended some Vintage photo distress ink over the edges to make it pop from the white and black of the background too.

Heres is the background alone so you can see the mix of colours on the backing with the layers etc before I go in with the sentiment raised up on foam for dimension.

I stamped out my sentiment  from the Express yourself range of sentiment stamps from the Be Happy set and cut it out with a small tonic circle die and inked through the die like a stencil to give it a faint blue tone and cut a mat a little larger in black for it to sit on.

This is a close up of the little sparkle on the dragonfly and how the sentiment is slightly raised from the card. This is slightly flatter without all the frills on this one so it could easily be posted in an average envelope as opposed to my usual embelished style.

Visible Image stamps - Karma - Orbital - Scribbled Circles - Kim Robertson 2

Another look at the finished results, I know this saying is sometimes used if someone is upset with another and people say this as a just deserts, and they will get theirs type thing, but this was never originally meant this way. It was a much more philosophical saying more for a good deed and how folks would be rewarded in richness of life and after life for kindness in this life, so then you see it with new eyes don’t you.

Visible Image stamps - Karma - Orbital - Scribbled Circles - Kim Robertson

But mostly I just like how the little card flows for such a simple stamp an the possibilities are endless.

Orbital Background.                                     Be Happy stamp set.

These are the stamp sets I used and you can see how they all have sooo many uses , the possibillities are so endless here I sometimes look at lots of stamps and get a little lost as there are so many beautiful stamps to choose but if I limit myself to choosing just two or three and working with that I have so many more ideas so sometimes it is worth keeping it really simple.

Have a wonderful Wednesday.

Lots of love to all you wonderful ladies (and maybe couple of gents haha)
crafty hugs

Amazing background, simple yet so effective layering up the scribbled circles in different colours! Orbital reminds us of when were were kids using a spirograph! Love Kim’s colour combo too. You’ll find more of Kim’s fabulous work over on her blog

Karma – Visible Image stamps

Good Morning! Today we are back with more NEW stamps inspiration.

Over to Teresa…

It’s time for another look at some of the fantastic newly released stamps from Visible Image. This week I have used one of the new backgrounds – Plasma set, and teamed it with a sentiment from the Express Yourself range.

Visible Image stamps - Plasma Background - Karma - Teresa Morgan

I used Versamark ink and a selection of pastel embossing powders to layer up the background onto black card. I love this squiggly design, it looks so crisp and funky on the black background.

I stamped the sentiment onto a circle of black card and embossed with white, then stamped the other design from the Plasma set around it and embossed in pink. I layered the black circle onto a white circle and attached with 3d foam.

I hope that I have inspired you to put away those patterned papers for a while and try to create your own fantastic backgrounds.

Behind the scenes we are incredibly busy finalising our NEW stamp designs, as well as making so many orders for our fantastic customers!

We are so excited to show you a glimpse of what’s coming! Soon… we promise 😉

For now it’s over to Amber Kroening. LOVE this card <3

Hello!
I’ve been having so much fun with Visible Image’s new sentiment stamps!
I started this simple card by inking over a stencil, then stamped the speckle background on the upper corner.  I stamped my sentiment and adhered this to a piece of black cardstock, and then everything was adhered to a teal card base. =)

Brick Wall Graffiti – Visible Image stamps

Hello! It’s Monday, it’s Marvellous, it’s over to the magnificent Kim Bacon for today’s inspiration…

Hello my lovelies!

What a snowy, cold week it has been. I hope that you are all OK? It was very changeable here on the coast but we didn’t get any proper snow. We had hail mostly but enough to leave a layer about 5cm deep all over the garden. We also had thunder and lightning, which I can’t ever remember having had before during the winter before! Weird!

Visible IMage - Brick Wall stamp - Kim Bacon

So today I am showing you a simple card………..or is it? I have shown this to some of the other DT at Visible Image and they all thought it was an embossing folder. Well, as Visible Image don’t make embossing folders (I will say ‘YET’ because you never know with these guys, anything is possible!). yeah, as they don’t make embossing folders it would be wrong to make this the main feature.  They do however make a brick stamp don’t they. So how did I do this?

Visible Image stamps - Inspirational Quotes - Brick Wall - Kim Bacon

It all started out as piece of card which I had coloured using Brusho paints in brick colours, brown, black, some red and a bit of yellow. I had done the colouring in a patchy, random way, with some splattering and water drops because I wanted it to look like brick. Once it was totally dry I stamped onto it using clear embossing ink and powder using the brick stamp.
At some point during this process, maybe to wipe away some embossing powder, I inadvertently picked up a wet wipe instead of a piece of kitchen towel and wiped across the bricks. I was about to say ‘Pooh-sticks’ when I noticed something quite special. The wet wipe was exposing the mortar. Well it would because we all know that Brushos can be re-wet and soaked away when doing the splashes or high-lighting techniques!

Very soon I was wiping all over the piece of card and getting this very realistic bricks and mortar effect! I was a happy bunny, no mistakes after all.

I then used some of the Express Yourself stamps, stamped in white to look like graffiti, and some splats in black embossing powder. Now IF I was a character colourer, I would most certainly have put Jake on here with his skate board.

I am going to try this technique on some other projects and I will let you know what happens.

Good Morning, afternoon or evening! Depending of course where and when you are reading this 🙂

Hope that you have a great weekend planned. Here we are busy working, no days off for us for the forseeable future… But that’s ok because we LOVE what we do! Busy = Awesome!

Today’s amazing inspiration comes from the awesome Amber Kroening, our US Design Team member! Over to Amber…

Hey there!

I am so excited about Visible Image’s new sentiment stamps!  They are amazing, and so much fun!

For this card I started by stamping and heat embossing the butterfly onto white cardstock.  Next I stamped the sentiment in black ink and colored it with Copic markers.  I added a row of banners to the top and used a fine black sharpie to add dots to them. The card front was adhered to a black card base, and I finished it off with a black and white twine bow.

Take Risks – Visible Image stamps

Hi there! Thanks for visiting us today 🙂

Our post is a little late today as it’s been rather crazy getting as many orders as possible packaged and posted to our wonderful customers… A VERY important task! We are so so happy that you are loving our stamps so much <3

It’s fabulous Friday so for today’s inspiration it’s over to the very fabulous Pauline Butcher…

Hello my crafty friends,

I hope none of you are suffering too much from the Winter weather we have been having of late, it’s just been cold and dark here in Warwick, with a tiny bit of Sun occasionally.

Today I’d like to share a card I’ve made using some fabulous Visible Image Stamps.

I have used…… Take Risks, from the Be Happy Set, one of the fab new set’s in the Express Yourself range, Vintage CarBronte ScriptRetro Dots Background, and the grungy edge stamp from the Jake Skates Set.

Visible Image stamps - Vintafe Car - Take Risks, Script - background stamps - Pauline Butcher

I started with the background, a piece of water colour paper, on which I sprinkled Brusho paints, and spritzed with water, until I had the effect I wanted. When it was dry, I stamped the Bronte script and the Retro Dots, using Distress inks, then using Versafine Black ink, I stamped the Vintage Car, the sentiment and the edging. Using thick household bleach and a small paintbrush, I beached all the bits I wanted white on the car and the words, and used a white pen to highlight the sentiment, Simplezzzzzz !!!!

Tag your Inspirational Quotes – Visible Image

Good Morning! Hope you had a fabulous weekend. It’s a dark, wet morning here in South Wales but of course it’s still marvellous as we have the best job in the world… Creating awesome stamps!

We have been busy working on some AMAZING NEW designs and we are so incredibly excited about these! Once again they are original, unique, and you will not be able to resist them! We will reveal all in February.

As always on a Monday, Kim Bacon is here to inspire you. Over to Kim…

Hello Readers! And a big HELLO to new visitors, hope you enjoy it here!

Visible Image stamps - inspirational quotes - tags - Kim Bacon

Today, with it being a Monday, it is of course Marvellous Monday with Visible Image. I have 2 tags for you today featuring a couple of the fantastic sentiments from the Express Yourself range. These are *the* most useful stamps! There are some great inspirational quotes which are small enough to be added to little projects like these tags but BIG enough to be a feature. Did you see my Karma card recently? Oh! You didn’t? Well, I have no shame so here it is again, see how the sentiment sits perfectly as a main feature. If the butterfly wasn’t there, the card would still ‘work’.

Visible Image stamps - Karma - Butterfly - Kim Bacon

Back to the tags! I took some remnants of Brusho coloured card and beefed them up a bit with some more colour. I then used the grunge polka dot stamp to remove some of the colour using just water which I dabbed off before it dried. I then used some dilute bleach and the Bronte Script to provide some white areas as well as using it with some ink to give some darker, more defined script. And then……yep more, I used the splats and blotches to add some more visual texture. You can barely see some of the stamping but it does make a difference. It is what makes these little projects so much fun to make. It is a great place to experiment. The main sentiments were stamped and embossed with black before even more bleach in the letters to make them ‘pop’.

AWM-Grunge-Polka-Dot-ws2012-519x389     AWM-Bronte-Border-ws2012-519x389

Just a couple more things to tell you about. First there is the release of some totally gorgeous romantic sentiments. If you ask me, they are pretty good for any time of the year but they are obviously totally right for the 14th February!

Visible Image - Love is in the air - NEW stamps

They are available as individual stamps but I am pretty sure you’re going to want them all, I know I do! There is also the little Cupid set which is specially for Valentine’s Day. Cute eh?

‘Life is a journey’ is from the ‘This is me’ set, there are 6 in total and they’re awesome, they can be used for a multitude of projects! I wanted to make a card for a man 🙂 Alongside this fab sentiment I used the ‘Free Your Imagination’ set at £12.99. For the stencilling I used the Tim Holtz ‘bubble stencil’ with Ranger texture paste, its really chunky giving a lovely texture and for all the stamps I used WOW opaque bright white. Layered onto a mustard yellow, then black card.

Special Memories @ Visible Image stamps

Hello 🙂

Thanks for coming to see our Wonderful Wednesday inspiration from Kim Robertson…

Hi Everyone

Wow hasn’t it turned cold and icy these last few days, Wrap up warm everyone and be ultra careful walking on ice wont you all.

Today is my day for Visible Image of course and I’ve used one of the new Express yourself sentiments, with the baby set and the ink splats.

Take a look…

Visible Image stamps - Memories - Baby Hands and Feet - Kim Robertson

I really fancied making a baby card and this set is just perfect and the sentiment fits perfectly I think.

I started with the Baby stamp set and some perfect medium  and embossed both the hands in clear powder.

As you can see in the picture here , this shows the hands here. I also stamped out the sentiment with Black Archival ink.

I took Spun sugar distress ink and worked it in from the edges and I also added Vintage photo on the very edges. I took the little feet and inked up with the same spun sugar for a tone on tone colour and added it just to the top left of the picture.

Next I took a larger piece of white card and inked the edges the same as the last piece with the same two colours of distress then I took three colours spun sugar, tattered rose and Victorian velvet I think its called and my Ink splats stamps and added randomly to the right and bottom left corners.

I mounted both the stamped sections onto red card and wrapped the bottom with a sheer organza  ribbon and gave it a double red mat also.

Here is a close up of the corners together , You can see I added some finishing touches, with the white pen Highlights the pearl hearts and ribbon bow.

I added this little bow with a small decorative safety pin and another pearl heart to dress it.

I added some pink stickles in tiny dots in two of the corners and also a small dot on the pearls for a little sparkle.

So the finished card is here and I really like the prettiness of this one.

and again here is the full image all finished, I think the backing turned out well and compliments the card perfectly.

Here are the stamp set used for this one…

I had a lovely time creating this one as it is in colours I don’t automatically reach for.

I hope you like it and will try to recreate it with your stamps and similar items if you have them.

Hugs to all
Love
Kim

Thank you Kim, an absolutely beautiful card xx

Come back tomorrow for more fabulous inspiration!
