Creativity is…

Hello! We are back to share another incredibly inspiring project created with some of our awesome NEW stamps!

Over to Teresa Morgan…

The response to this year’s new release of stamps has been amazing!! We are all thrilled at how much you love these new designs, and are enjoying looking at what you are making with them. Today I have a funky card using one of the new sentiments, and the Face It! stamps:

2017-02-26 Visible Image - Face stamps - Face it - creativity quote - Teresa Morgan

I took some card and spritzed some zingy Dylusions spray inks onto it  to add a bright splash of colour.
Once dry I stamped and embossed the eyes onto it. I also stamped and embossed the eyes onto a piece of white card
and carefully cut them out, then glued in place over the coloured piece. (I felt this would give a cleaner result than
masking them off before spraying as the inks are very wet and may have seeped under the mask).

I added a little colour to the iris’s with Distress Ink.

Visible Image Stamps - Creativity, Face It!

I then took some black card and tore a strip out of it, then arranged over my eyes so that they were peeping through the gap.

I stamped and embossed the sentiment, matting the ‘creativity’ onto an offcut of inked card.
The remainder of the words were stamped and embossed directly onto the black card.

If You Believe

Hello there! Thank you so much for coming to visit our blog today. We have some rather magical inspiration for you from Nicky Gilburt…

Anything is possible if you Believe… that couldn’t be more true!

My card share for this week is made with the incredible new Believe in Unicorns stamp set from Visible Image,
available NOW as part of the February 2017 new releases.

Visible Image Believe In Unicorns moon stars COL stamp set

The unicorn may look a bit familiar BUT look at those new additions – the moon, those clouds, the stars….it’s just beautiful!

So here’s what I did with it:

2017-02-12 Visible Image - unicorn stamp - believe quote - Nicky Gilburt

I am mad for my new Tim Holtz Distress Crayons right now, so I made a coloured background using the crayons and a water spritzer, and covered it in swathes of black (with a recent northern lights encounter in mind!) But it’s amazing how the colour still comes through, just enough to see. I then allowed it to dry

1. I cut a rocky ground base from spare card and gave my unicorn something to stand by applying a layer of Versafine onyx black ink.
2. I stamped the unicorn with Versamark and heat embossed with white powder. I did the same for the moon.
3. I made a mask for the moon so that I could stamp two clouds behind and then one over, and embossed in silver. I then stamped and embossed the sentiment.
4. I added the crossed stars in silver and a few stamps of stars in white, then trimmed to size and mounted onto holographic card, then onto a black 15cm square card base.

Happy crafting!
Nicky

Stunning card Nicky! Loving those Northern lights ♡

Colourful Rain – Visible Image Stamps

Thank you for coming to visit our blog today 🙂

We are catching up with all the latest Design Team inspiration from the last few days, kicking off with Corrie Herriman…

Hello everyone,

I can’t get enough of this Visible Image  ‘Sparkle in the rain’ stamp set.  Isn’t it gorgeous…. So you probably haven’t seen the last of it…

Visible Image stamps - Sparkle In The Rain - Corrie Herriman

For this card the background was made with Distress Inks and a blending tool on a piece of white card stock which was cut slightly smaller than the card. I stamped the background with a swirl and water and a script stamp with grey archival ink. Next I stamped the girl under the umbrella and splattered some white ink.  I coloured some book text with the same distress inks and punched circles from it. I adhered these circles randomly on the card panel and then stamped part of the sentiment. I then doodled around the edge of the panel. Lastly I adhered the panel to the card.

Listen To Your Heart – Visible Image stamps

Hi there, we hope you are having a nice relaxing Sunday 🙂

We are having a busy day here at the office… with our next Create and Craft TV show 3 weeks today, and the UK trade show the week after there is much to do!!! Especially with the HUGE number of new releases we have planned! All very exciting indeed.

Today’s inspiration comes from our US Design Team member Kim Johnny. Over to Kim…

Hello!

Welcome back to my first post of 2016 for Visible Image, yay!

I started off with a tag shape and I fully intended for it to be a tag with ribbon and all….but it sort of stayed as a small canvas. I am happy with the bright result, hope you like it!

The base of my tag is heavy watercolor paper. I chose to use the smooth side, for me it makes a better stamped impression. I stamped the PlasmaInk Splats and Retro Dots Background stamps in clear, bright white and red embossing powders before anything else.

Visible Image stamps - Listen To Your Heart - Kim Johnny

When I start a project, I rarely know where I am going with it. I mean I have an idea, tag, canvas, ATC but I never know where I am going to end up. With this one, I had a moment of panic and almost tossed it aside. The red plasma was so opposite against all the white I wasn’t sure what to do. I let it sit….and sit….and finally came back (days) later to attempt to complete it.

For the background I used Nuance water soluble powdered dye available here. I love the bright intense colors they create. The embossing acts a wonderful resist. Once I got the warm colors on the paper, I felt much better!

For the focal point I used one of my favorite sentiments, “Listen to your Heart” from the “This is Me” stamp set. I think I just need to remember to listen to my heart more and shut the nagging brain voices down, what do you think?

Thanks so  much for stopping by today!
hugs ‘n peace,
~kim

Feeling Inspired? @ Visible Image

Hello and ‘Happy Friday’ to you! Hope you’ve had a good week 🙂 The weekend is almost here!!!

We are really looking forward to a couple of days off. We were up at 4am yesterday (for a very exciting reason!) but really feeling it today!

Lots of fabulous inspiration here on the Visible Image blog today, so we hope you enjoy and will feel really inspired to get out your stamps and inks…

Lisa Nygards

visibleimage-47a-inkywings-2015

Totally loved my new play with Brushos! I got an idea of trying with some other media then water, and it worked really well.

I masked off the edges on a plain white cardstock. Poured a pretty large amount of PPA (perfect paper adhesive) over it and swiped it around with my finger (yes, I used gloves, can’t stand the mess). Then I powdered two different of colors of Brushos over the surface. It started to blend a tiny bit, but not much so I started to swirl and drag the colors around with my finger again in the PPA. I dabbed around until I was satisfied. But something was missing…. ahhh GLITTER! So I took my finest glitter and sprinkled it over it all and then started to dry it with my heat gun. Slowly and moving it all the time to not over heat the adhesive. I could have set it aside for a few hours probably, but naaah… I wanted to finished it up.

It was dry after a while and I stamped the star from the Universal set serveral times on top. I used an archival inkpad. The sentiment Christmas Memories is stamped on Vellum and embossed in gold.

Note to self – put glue on the whole piece next time as it shows through a bit… lol.

Kim Robertson

Visible Image stamps - If You Have Hope - Kim Robertson

I made a 4×4 chunky canvas blank into a special little wall hanging using the one of the very special sentiment stamps as my focal point. It ended up looking a little vintage but I enjoyed the technique I used which was using a heavy bodied carvable paste coloured with ink and mica sprays to give it its rich tones, black lace and feathers always adds to the drama too.

I added a good amount of modelling paste to the front of this chunky canvas and simply using a palatte knife carved into it before drying with a heat gun, you can leave it over night if you refer and then you can sand the texture paste etc too if you would like a different effect. I wanted it to dry almost fabric looking so a little softer for this piece though.

This is the paste I used..

So after drying you can see it has puffed a little and is now matt

I used three different sprays two ink ones with no mica in a reddy tone and a chestnut brown and then a gold mica over spray gives it its shine. I dried each colour separately so the colours didn’t look muddy

I had some thin black lace in my stash so I added it in two layers facing each other on the sides. I used hot glue to attach it but you could easily use a fast drying wet glue also however tapes wont stand up to the heat gun too much and I reheated the top with sprays several times

Next I used this gorgeous sentiment that I loved immediately entitled If You Have Hope

I added my sentiment using Pinflair glue so it would self level on the top, and sit how I wanted to contrast with the backing.I also added a little angle resin piece I had and added some classic treasure gold to the corners and the resin angel to pick out the features.

Here it is diagonally so you can see the light from a different angle.

I added some black marabou feathers and some little black bead stamens poking out of the feather too and some little pearls in the corners with a few tiny roses in a matching tone to the bottom right of the sentiment for balance. So that’s it folks it turned out really well and I enjoyed putting this one together..

I hope you like it.

Have a wonderful day and thank you for stopping by.

Love always

Today it’s a quick card from me, as time has been running away with me this week!

Visible Image stamps - Robot - Teresa Morgan

I have used the fun and funky Robot Data Set to make a cool birthday card

The background is blended Distress Inks with the binary stamp randomly stamped on it. I used Promarkers to colour the robot and monitor, mounting them on the card with 3d foam. The sentiment is embossed with WOW powders ultra fine white embossing powder.

Thanks for stopping by – look forward to seeing you next week!

Pauline Butcher

It’s Fabulous Friday and time for me to share a creation I’ve made using some fantastic Visible Image Stamps

2015-11-20 Visible Image stamps - Wake Up And Be Awesome - Pauline Butcher

The stamps I’ve used on this card are…

I started off by sprinkling some Brusho’s on a piece of card, spritzing with water, then layering up more Brusho’s and water for a nice intense look, then dried it totally.

I stamped the sentiment using Versamark onto this piece of card, then heat embossed it using white powder, and cut the card to the size I wanted. I decided at this stage that I wanted it to be very glossy, so using the Versamark pad I completely covered the card, and heat embossed using clear powder, and did this twice more.

On a small piece of card, I stamped the butterfly using black ink, coloured it using a paintbrush and Brusho’s, then added Stickles on top for the bling factor.

2015-11-20 Visible Image stamps - Wake Up And Be Awesome - Pauline Butcher 1

Finally for the background, I stamped the tree’s using Distress inks, then added some more Stickles as blossom.

Best Days @ Visible Image

Hi There! Thank you for visiting us here today!

We have an amazing tutorial from Kim Robertson to share with you with some fantastic techniques. Hope you’ll have a go!

Here’s our mega talented Kim…

Hi Folks

As promised here is the step by step for my recent pink card that was done in aid of The Big Pink week for Breast Cancer awareness.

To remind you of my Pink card here it is…

2015-10-16 Visible Image stamps - Big Pink Blog Hop - Best Days - Kim Robertson

And here is the full step by step…

To start I took a rectangle piece of white card and used some picked raspberry and spun sugar distress inks to blend it all out to this fade in the above picture. I then used raisin adirondack ink and the script stamp from The Revolution set and stamped off the page in a random pattern, but leaving the top right and bottom left corner fairly clear.

Next I tore the paper toward me on those two corners that I left blank to expose the inside core. I used some of that raisin ink to rub those edges and also some Walnut stain Distress ink to darken them a little further. Set aside to dry.

I took a larger piece of white Card and glued the pink hessian I had in my stash to it to the left hand side.

I added foam to my first piece and added it to the second with some wet glue to stick on the Hessian really well.

Then I gave it a black mat to sit on which instantly makes the darker ink stand out.

I used some dripped glue with some Frantage embossing powders and glitter to add some interest to the the top right of the card as I knew I was going to attach something above this.

I stamped this lovely sentiment out and tore the edges inking the same way as the last piece with raisin and a little Walnut stain. Raising it up on to foam and adding it on a jaunty angle to the card front.

Next I took a plain white resin piece, which was a side on butterfly or moth one or the other and added some pink to it with a Promarker and the added glued and cover in glitters. This I glued above the embossing we did and to the to right of the sentiment.

Here is a close up

All that was left from here was to add a little breast cancer symbol in ribbon topped with a pearl and I tied a bow using some of the hessian taken from the edges of another piece and added a sparkler to the knot and Voila… complete.

2015-10-16 Visible Image stamps - Big Pink Blog Hop - Best Days - Kim Robertson

Here is the finished item again

The stamps I used were…

I hope you enjoyed this one and you can see what you can do with just a couple of fabulous stamps, and some hessian and glitter too.

Thanks for stopping by as always.

Lots of love

Vintage & Masculine @ Visible Image

Hi There! Thank you so much for visiting our blog today! We have so much awesome inspiration for you today, as we catch up with all the latest Design Team projects.

Next up is Kim Robertson with a brilliant tutorial for an amazing masculine card with a fantastic vintage feel…

Hi Everyone

Nice to see you all. Huge thank you ‘s to all that entered our Big Pink event for Breast Cancer awareness and a welcome to any new visitors as well as huge hugs to all my lovely ladies that are always here.

As of next week my Visible Image day will be moving to Tuesdays, so it will be Visible Image Wednesday no more and Visible Image Tuesdays instead!

Here is today’s card .. You know how I like to add some masculine themes in from time to time as I genuinely enjoy doing them, so today’s card is just that using some wonderful stamps as always from Mark and Helen.

2015-10-30 Visible Image stamps - Reason To Smile - Feather stamp - Vintage Masculine card - Kim Robertson 4

Do you like my little scroll haha..

So with out further chatter here is how I put this one together.

I started by stamping the Reason to Smile stamp out twice on ‘off white’ card with Black archival ink. Leaving a gap on the other side of the card.

I ripped toward me on the right hand side only and created an exposed edge to the paper.

I inked the edges of the whole piece first with Tea dye and then with Vintage Photo, I then used the same Vintage Photo and stamped the script from the Revolution set over the entire background.

I gave the edge another layer of ink on the raw edge only and used a piece of ribbon like a measure down the centre Vertically.

I added all this to black card, and matted that onto off white card before setting this part aside to work on the little scroll.

So I took a length of the same off white card and stamped the Reason to Smile with Vintage Photo onto it once. I used scissors to ruff the edges and create some ripped raw pieces and inked them all wit the same combo of inks as before. I rolled the top of the scroll back work and the bottom forward around a pokey tool, and then I took two new little eyeshadow applicators and ripped off the end sponges, I added some Treasure gold to the ends and glued them inside the rolled up sections, I created a little mat with the same off white and black card

 Here is the side view

Here is an image of the writing as I went back and using a trusty white gel pen I added it to highlight and make the writing pop forward.

Next I stamped out the feather from the gorgeous Angels Are Near set using perfect medium, and embossed it in gold shiny embossing powder. I fussy cut the feather out and added ink around the edges, I also added some treasure gold and buffed to a bright shine too.

Using glossy accents I added some largish blobs of glue all around the edges and using that clear glass glitter added plenty for a huge sparkle.

Back to the base section I wrapped lots of hemp string around the card vertically and secured at the back with tape and then gave the card another mat and layer of black and off white to complete the base.

2015-10-30 Visible Image stamps - Reason To Smile - Feather stamp - Vintage Masculine card - Kim Robertson 2

I added the feather to the left over the writing and mounted the scroll on foam and added that also to the base.

2015-10-30 Visible Image stamps - Reason To Smile - Feather stamp - Vintage Masculine card - Kim Robertson

I tied a bow with the same ribbon and added that to the bottom right over the string and covered the knot with a sparkler which looks like concrete. I finished off with old watch parts I had laying around and a key also.

2015-10-30 Visible Image stamps - Reason To Smile - Feather stamp - Vintage Masculine card - Kim Robertson 1

So this is the finished card, What do you think?

The sets I used on this one are…

So this was Wednesday’s masculine inspired card, I love these rich Vintage browns and especially teamed with the blues in the range of distress too, such as Salty Ocean but for today I kept it tonal and in the brown family, and gave it rawness with the rips and gorgeousness with glitter too, see even men can have glitter haha!

Have a great Wednesday my friends.

Lots of love

Visible Image Stamps – Latest Inspiration

Hello and welcome to our rather neglected blog… well just lately anyway!!!

It has been a busy old time here at Visible Image basecamp for a number of reasons…. Loads of orders (thank you!)…exhibiting at quite a few craft shows… a road trip and some very exciting meetings… AND and lots of designing too!!!

Right.. on with today’s post! We have so much gorgeous new inspiration to show you from our fabulous Design Team, so make yourself a cuppa and read on…

Sue Joseph

My card this week is ALL about the sentiment

2015-10-10 Visible Image stamps - Best Days Of Your Life - Sue Joseph

I LOVE this verse, it’s called The Best Days. I used wow black ebony to heat emboss it and with a verse like this you dont need a busy card, hence just my paint splats, the words say it all!

I created the background with my new toy the Art spinner and used shimmer paints and neon paint. Layered and matted onto some green mirror board and kraft card and finished with some flat back green gems and hessian. ribbon.

Pauline Butcher

No your eyes are not out of focus, lol, I wanted to try something a little different with this card, and I used a couple of super duper Visible Image Stamps.

2015-10-10-Visible-Image-stamps-You Are Loved - Pauline Butcher

My inspiration came from a retro 3D poster I saw recently, although I haven’t tried to view it through a pair of 3D glasses, lol, but you get the idea !!!!

The Visible Image stamps I’ve used are You are Loved and Grunge Polka Dot.

I stamped the background with the Grunge Polka Dots, 4 times, using 4 different Distress ink colours, I also did the same on another piece of card and stamped the sentiment in Versamark, heat embossed it using clear embossing powder, fussy cut it, mounted it onto black card and fussy cut it again, to give a thin black outline.
And hey look, no bling or glitter used, that was incredibly hard, lol !!!!

Teresa Morgan

This week I am sharing a bright and beautiful card..

2015-10-10 Visible Image stamps - Music Wave stamp - Ink Splats - Teresa Morgan

I have stamped the Ink Splats with various colours of Distress Ink to create my inky rainbow. I then took the music wave stamp from the Soul Music set, and stamped with black Archival Ink, then flipped the stamp upside down to continue the flourish across the page. I love how the music notes are not all ‘the right way up’, so you can use this stamp in any direction without it looking odd!

Lisa Nygards

The wonderful sentiment I’ve used today has gone PINK this month! Not the actual stamp, but the package. It’s called STAY STRONG and during october 50% of the sales for this stamp will be donated to Breast Cancer Care! Buy yours now!

2015-10-10 Visible Image stamps - Stay Strong sentiment stamp - Lisa Nygards

I’ve played around with pink inkpads that react with water, and some mists to do my background. The horse is from the Revolution set, and the darker spots around the edge are stamped with part of the other horse from the same set. When it was dry I stamped the sentiment on top of it all.

Doreen OBrien

I am back with some more inspiration using the gorgeous Visible Image stamps

2015-10-10 Visible Image stamps - Colours of The Wind - Autumn Leaf stamp - Doreen OBrien

I have used Gelato’s for my background and over stamped with the Bronte Script. The leaf stamp and sentiment from the Colours of the Wind set have been inked up with Red Geranium and Potting Soil Archival inks.

Kim Bacon

I have been having a look through some of my old stuff and saw this little gem which didn’t get published last year. It is still such a cool technique and it is nice to revisit some of my older projects. It means that new visitors to me and Visible Image don’t miss out on something!

2015-10-10 Visible Image stamps - Create With Your Soul - Flowers- Kim Bacon

So, I started with a nice crisp piece of white card. Using those pots of inky paint from Pinflair called Gentle Blends, I applied colour to the daisy silhouette from the Happy Birthday set from the ‘More Than Words’ range. I used a sponge to apply the colour directly to the stamps. I stamped the first time onto my base card and then did a second stamping onto a separate piece of white card. This gave me a vibrant first impression and a dull, light second impression.

I then used the seeded flower head silhouette from the Thinking of You set, again from the ‘More Than Words’ range, to overstamp the coloured daisies in black ink.

On the piece of card that I had done the second impression stamping, I used black ink to stamp the Create With Your Soul sentiment. All pieces were layered onto black card and the sentiment was added to the main card using foam pads to raise it up.

Susanne Rose

I’d like to share a card today on which I used the awesome Smile Sparkle Shine stamp.

2015-10-10 Visible Image stamps - Smile Sparkle Shine - Susanne Rose

The background of the card is created with Twinklings H2O. The Visible Image sentiment is stamped with Memento Luxe and embossed with clear embossing powder.

Pauline Butcher

I’m back with a little bit of inspiration for you, a card using some of those fantastic Visible Image Stamps that I love using so much! On this card, the stamps I used are Winter Tree and the sentiment is Me Time

2015-10-10 Visible-Image-stamps- Me Time sentiment - Forest Background - Pauline-Butcher

A very simple card to make, I used some Brusho paints on the background, mixing them with water and just washing them over the card. I then used some Spectrum Noir Aqua Tint inks, and using the dropper provided in the kit, just dripped them down the card. This gives the impression of trees, so I stamped Winter Tree with Distress Inks onto the inky background. I finished off with the sentiment stamped in Versamark, and heat embossed with Black powder, I filled in the letters with some Stickles for that little bit of sparkle.

Kim Johnny

I am so happy it is October! I love the cooler weather, here for me it should be soon anyways! And of course, I love Halloween!

2015-10-10 Visible Image stamps - Paint The Town DEAD - Zombie - Kim Johnny

Today for my Visible Image DT play I made a tag using the wicked Zombie Dawn set!

She is a bit more ghosty I think… On top of the acrylic paint and ink background, everything is heat embossed. I really love how embossing makes everything shiny and adds more POP!  The pumpkins are made with texture paste using a Dreamweaver metal stencil with orange embossing powder on top.

Zombie Dawn, the hands and sentiment are all fine stamps by Visible Image! I hope you have fun getting ready for Halloween later this month and I would really love to see what you make!

Karen Liddle

Time for some more inspiration using stamps from the fab Visible Image..

2015-10-10 Visible Image stamps - Poinsettia stamp - Karen Liddle

First I stamped the Poinsettias from the Pointsettia Stamp Set, then used Brushos to add the colours.  Starting with the flowers, I took a paintbrush and painted the flowers, with water, then sprinkled just a tiny amount of the red Brusho and spread it around a little to fill in all the petals, I did this for each flower.  Then I painted water onto the background, and again sprinkled the Brushos, letting the colour spread as normal, but using the paintbrush to help the colour spread.  I finished off with gold gems in the flower centres and the Merry Christmas sentiment.

Find Courage – Stay Strong – Visible Image Stamps

Good Evening to you! Thank you for visiting our blog today.

Today’s inspiration from Kim Robertson is one of the stunning cards she demo’d at Ally Pally…

This card uses the same techniques as the tags we made at Ally Pally (my tags tutorial can be found HERE)

Visible Image stamps - Stay Strong - Kim Robertson

This photo was taken before I added lots more glass glitter in the waves, and the black little flat back sparkles in the corners to finish off.

So to start….

Stamp the script from the Revolution Set randomly how you would like it on the background, I had mine in the two opposite corners as shown here.

Next I inked the background with the colours of my choice , opposite on the colour wheel and infinitely blendable too, I added two layers as always, go back to the post on the tags for more step by steps on how to blend inks and why two layers etc.

I then added tone on tone inking and some flicked water as before and blotting the ink away to leave rings and shapes to fit in with splashing water.

Here is the small piece of UTEE with the small Fleur de Lys pressed into it when molten, to leave this wonderful indentation to which I added some black archival ink to the centre and rubbed over with some Treasure Gold wax to pick up the high points.

I stamped my sentiment onto card and inked the edges, and mounted it onto black card. I also added grey and blue around the lettering to make the writing really stand away from the card, like a shadow.

I added each item to the card with foam to make the card a little more dimensional.

Lastly I went back in with my trick with the glitters in the wavy corners to really make some wet looking sparkles appear out of the waves with the white horses of the sea.

Here are the stamps sets used…

Ok lovelies, see you soon

Behind The Mask – Visible Image Stamps

Hi There! Thank you for coming to visit our blog 🙂

Lisa Nygards is here with her latest inspiration…

Hi!

I’ve tried a new (for me!) fun technique with faux metallic look. I’ve seen this at Jennifer McGuire and you’ll find a video over there how to make this background. Easily done with distress inks, mica powder and an embossing folder.

The beautiful bird image is named Behind Every Mask, and I love that it almost becomes a face with those eyes. The sentiment comes with the bird in the same set.

Be The Reason Someone Smiles Today – Visible Image Stamps

Good Evening and thank you for stopping by today! Hope Monday has been gentle with you!

As always we have Kim Bacon joining us here on the blog today with her latest masterpiece 😉

Over to Kim…

I simply adore the sentiment stamps that Visible Image design.

Really different and the fonts they use are completely awesome!!

They are perfect for that finishing touch to one of my famous Brusho backgrounds.

If a job came up for a Background Designer then I would be the first to apply!

So this one features the versatile swirl from the UNIVERSAL set.

I painted the background and then used bleach with the swirl stamp.

Once dry I then used clear embossing powder to add some shine.

2015-09-14 Visible Image stamps - Inky Background - Galaxy Stamp - Kim Bacon

The sentiment was stamped onto a piece of the same painted card before the addition of the clear embossed swirls.

My image “Butterfly INKognito” has been stamped using distress inks onto some white card. I then stamped the ”Bronte Script to add some dimension.

The sentiment, from the ”Sunshine Set, was next to be stamped before splattering some distress ink all over the card and inking the edge.

Life Is Meant To Be Lived – Visible Image

Hi There! Thank you for coming to visit us here on the blog today 🙂

We have two brand new projects to share with you this evening.

First up, it’s Kim Bacon…

Here is my inspirational piece for Visible Image.

2015-09-08 Visible Image stamps - Life Is Meant To Be Lived - Kim Bacon

It is a piece of home decor, a 3 dimensional project which I made from a small shallow box.

I used a piece of acetate to stamp the sentiment onto.

I wanted the words to stand out from the background and thought by using acetate I could suspend them.

They are neither right at the back or right at the front. They are just hovering.

Sparkly Lips Canvas – Visible Image Stamps

Good Morning and Happy Saturday to you!

Sorry we missed yesterday’s post but it was a crazy busy day! We didn’t manage to get everything finished as planned, so today will now be our last day in work before we wind down and get into ‘Wedding mode’ !!! Getting very excited now… just 6 days to go before the big day ♥ ♥ ♥

So here on the blog today we have triple inspiration for you from Pauline, Susanne and Doreen.

First up, here’s Pauline with her latest Visible Image stamps project…

Hi there,

It’s me, back again, spreading some Visible Image love, superb deeply etched photo-polymer uniquely designed Stamps, which I love to use, can you tell.. lol !!!

2015-08-01 Visible Image stamps - Smile Sparkle Shine - Mixed Media Canvas - Grungy Lips stamp - Pauline Butcher

The very unique stamps I’ve used for this project are……
The lips from Bite meSmile, Sparkle, ShineRipped FishnetInk Splats, and the straight stamp from Edgy.

This week, just for a change, I’ve used a 5″ x 7″ canvas, which I primed with 2 coats of white Gesso. Whilst that was drying, I stamped my main images, the lips and the sentiment, onto some heat resistant acetate, using versamark, and heat embossed them with some pink sparkle embossing powder and fussy cut.

Right, back to the canvas, I added some grunge paste through a stencil, and dried with my heat tool.

I spritzed it all with water, and sprinkled Brusho paints onto it, spritzed with water again, and then let it all drip down. I also mixed some red Brusho with water, and let that drip down too.

Using some gold paint on the Ripped Fishnet and Edgy stamps, I stamped randomly over the canvas. I found an old jar of white ink in one of my drawers, which had gone very thick, but it was perfect for the white drips and circles !!! I edged the canvas with gilding flake, then glued the lips and sentiment into place, and lastly added Stickles for more sparkle.

Be Brave – Stay Strong – Visible Image Stamps

Hi There! We are back with our second inspirational post this evening…. what a wonderful Wednesday it is 🙂

Here’s Kim R with a super tutorial as always…

Hi folks

Hope you are all having a good week my treasures.

I have created a bit of an old treasure male card this afternoon, using 2 sentiment stamps from the June launch, and some card, natural fabric and lots of watch bits, a bulb and some cogs.

See what you think ?

Visible Image stamps - Stay Stong - Masculine Card - Kim Robertson

I hope you like it and can see how easily a man would find this one interesting, from the old photos to the fab sentiments and cogs.

So without further ado lets get into the tutorial…

Take a  scrap of card almost square and keep stamping the Steal your future stamp in all directions rest some card over as a mask rather than double stamp anywhere. I used a archival ink in brown as I wanted to have that aged look.

Same piece of card with lots of walnut stain distress ink around the edges to dry the ink, Mount the card onto some black card or a little matting to look goood lol…

Take a piece of thinnish paper and stitch all around the edge in just a simple stitch like here I used running stitch and after inking the edges and the stitching mount this onto black card also.

Add the first piece to the 2nd piece leaving a gap down the side for some nice things.

Add the whole piece to a piece of milk coloured card for our base.

add a piece of hessian slightly frayed and stick it to the card. also add a strip of thin cheese cloth twisted and frayed also.

Stamp out your sentiment on milk card with an embossing ink and clear embossing powder. Use the same walnut stain distress ink to add the shading and once at the desired shade and tone, simply rub the ink off the raised embossing and look at the lettering to see if you are happy.

I took some tim holtz paper and on one page were about 20 photos  still to be sorted.I took the paper and distressed and inked the edges I also curled up the paper in place and added my cogs and embellishments.I also added a couple of adage tickets of timmies too.

Here is the bottom right corner.

Bottom left plus embellishments.

Bottom right with old watch cogs etc.

Top right.

Top left.

Visible Image stamps - Side view - Stay Stong - Masculine Card - Kim Robertson

Completed card side angle. With lots of embellishments.

A close up, I hope you  like it.

And the original photo one last time…

Visible Image stamps - Stay Stong - Masculine Card - Kim Robertson

I do enjoy making a male themed card.

Here are the two stamps I used.

I hope you enjoyed this 2 stamp tutorial, and that you have a go with some old bits and pieces you think could be used as embellishments. I had randomly some old watch parts and some newer cogs etc, and old button with the shank cut off too… anything goes as long as it isn’t too heavy.

Huge huge hugs.

Love
Kim

Words To Live By – Visible Image Stamps

Good Evening! Hope you have had a good start to the new week.

Kicking off another week of amazing Design Team inspiration, here’s Kim Bacon…

Oh what a glorious weekend it has been! Sun, sea and sand by the bucket load, thank you Mr Weather!

Today I am showcasing a collection of cards I made using only Visible Image stamps. I wanted to make a group of cards suitable to be given as a gift set and so I set about making several background papers first.

In my palette there was a lot of blue/green/purple Brusho paint which needed using up. I looked in my envelope drawer and found some blue envelopes which were the right size for my plans.

I don’t often use white embossing powder but with the intense colour of the background paper I ended up with it seemed the perfect one to use.

For those that know how good Visible Image stamps are I don’t need to tell you how deeply etched they are, how perfectly they stamp every time and just what fab designs there are!

For those of you who are new to Visible Image, er, just re-read the above!

Love yourself - Visible Image stamps - Kim Bacon

As I said, I started by  making the background papers. I had great fun smooshing colour over some good quality white card stock. I use Brusho powder as a wet paint and just leave it to dry.

Next I used a dark blue ink to add the circles from the Universal set all over but not overlapping. Once this was completely dry I started adding the white embossed dotty-circles, again from the Universal set and also the larger one from the Plasma set.

Just Be Happy - Visible Image stamps - Kim Bacon

The sentiments, which are from the Express Yourself range, were stamped onto card with none of the extra stamping on. It allows the words to stand while still being a perfect colour match.

All the elements were cut and mounted onto white card before being added to the blue card bases. The sentiment pieces were mounted using a dimensional glue to raise them from the page.

I know this is a stamp heavy project, but if you have these sets not only do you get great value for money, but you can also create a huge number of projects using different combinations of the stamps!

Wonderful Words – Visible Image Stamps

Good Evening… a very late post from us today! Let’s just say it’s been hectic here…

On to today’s inspiration. Lisa Nygards has been busy creating with our NEW Express Yourself stamps this week. The results are stunning..

Since colors are so fun to play with, I can’t stop with just one card. The new sentiments are so perfect for stamping on a colorful background. I’ve played with different kinds of mist colors, but not the regular way (misting). I’ve wet the paper (watercolor paper) and then dripped and wiggled the color around. Dripped some more color, dried it, dripped some water on it and more color and another round until I liked it. It can’t be wrong, let the colors guide you!

Then the best part, to find a sentiment that match up with what I’ve created. Now I have several lovely new ones from Visible Image to play with so it became three cards today!

The sentiments used: Lilac card: Take the moment. Brown/Blue card: A best friend. Green card:Stay Strong.

I then over stamped with a stamp from the Ink Splats set, love these.  I used a couple of different sized tops, pressed into the ink pad, for the circles.  Finished off with a little bit of distressing round the edges.

Don’t Let Your Past Steal Your Future – Visible Image stamps

Good Morning! Hope you are enjoying this week’s inspiration from our awesome Design Team!

It’s Thursday which means it’s Teresa Morgan’s turn to share her latest project with you…

Here we are again for another dose of Thrilling Thursday inspiration – hope you have been enjoying the mini heatwave here in the UK….it’s far too hot for me at the moment but I do like to see a bit of sunshine as it lifts the spirit!!

This week I have decorated a pair of mini framed canvasses using some of the brilliant new word stamps from Visible image.

07-02-2015 Visible Image stamps - Don't Let Your Past Steal Your Future - Mixed Media - Inspirational Quotes - Teresa Morgan

I started by using some modelling paste through a circle mask in the corners to add some texture, then dripped washes of paint down the canvas once the paste was dry. I used some black paint through a chicken wire mask for a bit more detail, then got out my stamps.

Visible Image Stamps

I used black embossing powder on the words and circles (from the Universal set), and gold embossing powder on the Woman Inkognito. A bit of gilding wax on the stencilled circles added more shine! The frames are painted to create an antique brass efect which tied in with the ‘distressed industrial’ feel of this piece.

Visible Image Stamps

I love how this turned out and the words are perfect for anybody contemplating a new start in life….
