Billy’s Summer Garden

Hi again! Wow we are spoiling you with inspiration today!!!

Up next is Jane Tyrrell with a superb project featuring our awesome Curious Cats stamps…

A while back I shared a sneak peek of the Visible Image Designer 3D challenge feature for Craft Stamper Magazine. This piece is also very relevant inspiration for the “dimension” challenge running over in the Visible Image Facebook group. All the details and links for this will be at the end of this post.

As you may know, my garden is a constant source for my crafting inspiration. Billy my cat is also a constant shadow out there and he really loves the summer months when we spend many pleasant hours outside.

Billy has a friend called Blackie who visits, so when it came to choosing a set of stamps to work with for my project, I did not hesitate to chose this one…

the amazing Curious Cats set…

I used a Visible Image MDF Monolith and added some die cuts for initial texture

and gave it some colour using these “garden inspired” PaperArsty fresco paints.

I also added some texture paste through my dots and floral stencil.

To give me this base.

I added some shading and the fun paw prints from the set

I stamped my Cat face and carefully applied it.

I then stamped a small dragonfly from the Live in the Moment set

I stamped, embossed and fussy cut out the small cats and die cut some floral elements

It was then time to put on my creative hat..

and here is my finished ‘Billy’s Summer Garden’ Monolith

and a few close ups…

I made a picket fence from coffee stirrers and added a texture paste path

and Glossy Accents to his eyes and his sweet pink nose….ūüėĽ

and to prove that Billy really has a friend called Blackie who visits I took this snap last week..

Thanks so much for stopping by today and for the very kind comments that you take the time to leave. Thank you also for all the lovely messages, texts and emails sent to me after seeing the Create and Craft show too. I love finding out that I can inspire people in their own crafting. I am happy to share my knowledge and techniques.. sharing is caring in my books and we are all on a fun creative journey.

Back soon.
Bye for now,

Life Can Be Tough

Hello! Thanks for stopping by our blog.

Veerle Moreels has a really special¬†project to share here today…

On Saturday¬†Visible Image had a new show on the Create and Craft TV channel, and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. It’s always a pleasure seeing Mark doing his demo’s. And of course, being a member of their Design Team, I also had made samples to show just how versatile all the sets are. Yet they work so well together. Today I’m sharing the candle I made for the show…

It was my very first candle I made so I have to be honest, it took me two takes to melt my paper into my candle. But just imagine what beautiful gifts you can make using your Visible Image stamps…

I’m pretty sure you have seen loads of inspiration on the show made by Helen and Mark, my teamies and myself.

This is so beautiful Veerle and it was proudly shown off on the show! Thank you ♡

Dare To Swim

Hi there! Helen here sharing some NEW stamps inspiration from me today!

I created this pretty much as soon as the new stamps arrived here, as I could not wait to get my hands on them.

I have used our beautiful Dare To Swim set…

First of all I had lots of fun creating a sea background using turquoise, green and yellow brushos,
letting the colours merge and run

IMG_2358

I decided I would make a piece of home decor rather than a card, so once dry
I cut the card to size and painted the edges and base of my Monolith using Dylusions paint

IMG_2402

I stamped and embossed the large jellyfish using red/gold embossing powder
which turned more of a copper colour on my background which I really like.

I stamped the fish and sea weed using distress inks, and then dabbed the fabulous little bubbles stamp into
white dylusions paint and added randomly.

I used some diluted white paint to create a glow on the jellyfish.

Lastly I stamped and embossed the beautiful quote using white embossing powder.

How beautifully it¬†stamps…

So here is my finished project…

Be Happy – Visible Image

Hi there! Teresa is here with another fantastic project using our MDF Monoliths and stamps…

I have another monolith to share today ‚Äď they are such a versatile MDF substrate. If you haven‚Äôt tried them yet, then you really should!!

visible-image-stamps-tomorrow-doesnt-exist-mdf-monolith-teresa-morgan

Once again I made a gelli print with acrylic paints to use as my background ‚Äď I love the weathered effect I got by adding a layer of white over the original paint colours.

I have used the outer ring of the ripple stamp to create frames. I stamped and embossed the whole design onto black card then carefully cut out the largest rings to make my frames.

I stamped the words directly onto the background and embossed with gold embossing powder. I added some shadows with a black fineliner pen.

Visible Image Stamps - The Ripple Effect, Tomorrow Doesn't Exist

The girl is stamped directly onto the background, and again embossed with gold embossing powder. I then stamped and embossed her  in black onto heat resistant acetate and cut out. This layer is glued over the gold figure, slightly offset to show a gold edge.

Visible Image Stamps - The Ripple Effect, Tomorrow Doesn't Exist

The back of the monolith is simple. I just added some embossed ripples randomly over the black paint.

So many people have commented on various projects I have created with these ripple stamps, saying how much they love them!! They really are a versatile set to have in your collection.

Just Be Happy @ Visible Image

Hi there! Thank you for visiting our blog today!

This week we are previewing some of the stunning samples made for our shows on Create and Craft TV this coming weekend.

Nicky Gilburt has created this totally gorgeous project. Over to Nicky…

Visible Image stamps - MDF Monolith - Just Be Happy - Nicky Gilburt

Another marvellous monolith to share with you, from Visible Image, decorated this time with bright funky colours and more stamps from the fantastic Summer 2016 collection, to be shown (with never seen before extra features) on Create & Craft UK on Saturday 10th September at 4pm. (and on the US show on Friday night!)

I absolutely LOVED putting this piece of work together, especially as the Just be Happy slogan pretty much sums me up right now ( and it has nothing to do with the kids being back at school this week, either!) I prepared the monolith with white gesso, then white acrylic paint, and stamped the arty splodges ( from the new version of  Music on World off) directly onto the MDF with distress ink. I added the sun effect by masking the largest circle , then stamping, applying white embossing powder and heat embossing The Ripple Effect and added the smaller circles randomly too. The funky large heart is a new add-on to the set Own Kind of Beautiful.

Visible Image stamps - MDF Monolith - Be Your Own Kind Of Beautiful - Butterfly stamp - Nicky Gilburt

Reverse: Pinks and greens and Be your own Beautiful – but two of the butterflies have been stamped onto shrink plastic – now that was fun! I made 3 large ones on plain white card and matched them all up.

The wrap with the words on came about as I was test-stamping the colours on an off-cut from a previous card – and I thought ‘ooh that works for me!’ so I put my text on both sides of my wrap, sealed it at one end and carefully positioned it on my monolith.

Dare I say that this is my favourite piece of work from the new Summer release? I love everything that Visible Image has ever released but there is something really special about these stamps that just makes me…HAPPY!!! Thanks for reading!

Don’t forget to tune in!¬†

Thank you so much Nicky, this is such a stunning Monolith! We cannot wait to show it off on screen ‚ô°

Life Is Meant To Be Lived – Visible Image

Hi There! Thank you for coming to visit us here on the blog today ūüôā

We have two brand new projects to share with you this evening.

First up, it’s Kim Bacon…

Here is my inspirational piece for Visible Image.

2015-09-08 Visible Image stamps - Life Is Meant To Be Lived - Kim Bacon

It is a piece of home decor, a 3 dimensional project which I made from a small shallow box.

I used a piece of acetate to stamp the sentiment onto.

I wanted the words to stand out from the background and thought by using acetate I could suspend them.

They are neither right at the back or right at the front. They are just hovering.
