Vision @ Visible Image

Hello, thanks for stopping by our blog today.

We have another awesome card by Pauline Butcher to inspire you…

Hellooooo,

I’m back with more Design Team inspiration for ‘Visible Image’, using a couple of awesome stamp sets..Where Dreams Take You  and Live Life Now.

visible-image-stamps-vision-inky-grungy-eye-stamp-pauline-butcher

I stamped the fabulous eye, using Versamark, and heat embossed it using a Wow Red powder, yummy. I stamped the eye again with black ink, onto a sticky note, and fussy cut it out, I placed this mask over the embossed eye, and coloured the background using Distress Inks. I then stamped the ‘Go where your Dreams take you’, again using Distress ink.

I stamped the small butterflies with Versamark, and heat embossed them with the red powder, I then took the mask off, and coloured the Iris, and put a bit of shading into the corner of the eye. The ‘Vision’ sentiment was stamped with Versamark, onto a separate piece of card, and again heat embossed using the Red powder, and fussy cut.

I used Stickles, to bling up the butterflies, and to put a twinkle in the eye.

Imperfection is Beauty – Visible Image

Hi there, thanks for visiting us 🙂

Nicky Gilburt is here to inspire you on the blog today with a gorgeous card…

Hello,

Here’s my latest card.

The main stamps used are from Imperfection is Beauty, and the background features two stamps from The Ripple Effect

visible-image-imperfection-is-beauty-inky-script-flower-stamp-nicky-gilburt

How apt that this is the set that I chose to play with, I had previously made a set of backgrounds with Distress inks, spritzers and paints, and this was one of my least favourites, as I felt it was less than perfect, the ink hadn’t spread evenly across the sheet, making a mottled effect botttom left. However….

when I stamped the two scripty flowers onto separate pieces of coloured card, and cut them out, it all seemed to work. And I thought that the effect actually seemed….right!

I used the bubble circle outlines and stamped and embossed with white, making it super easy to roughly fill them in with watercoloured distress ink. I used the same colour to stamp the other full circles, to tie them together, and stamped random patterns round the edge of my design to add interest and highlights.

Click these links to get to the Visible Image shop, The Visible Image Facebook page, and the Facebook group where you can share your makes for a chance to WIN a voucher!

Happy Crafting!

Visible Image Stamps – Create and Craft TV Demo Cards

Good Morning and Happy Saturday to you!

Today we are sharing Pauline’s amazing demo cards from our Create and Craft TV show last Saturday.. what an amazing show it was! Mark and Pauline managed to get 5 demos in between them which was awesome..that’s down to some fantastic prepping!

The first multibuy sold out in just half an hour and the second before the show ended! Thank you so much to everyone who watched the show, and who bought the stamps 🙂

Here’s Pauline with more details of how she created her stunning cards…

Hi there my lovely friends,

As you probably know, Visible Image Stamps had a show on Create & Craft TV last Saturday, between the Awesome Mr Mark Alexander and myself, we managed to demo five cards, mine were very quick, so I thought I’d run through them again in a bit more detail…

Card One

Visible Image stamps - Feather - Angels Are Near - Pauline Butcher

The first demo was using the stamp set… Angels are Near.

For the background, I took a piece of white Centura Pearl card, and using 3 Distress ink colours, I blended them, spritzed it with water, and blotted with kitchen towel.

Using the feather stamp covered in Versamark, I stamped in the middle, then heat embossed using white detail powder. Using the feather again, but only the splatty end of it, and a gold ink pad, I stamped around the edges of the inked background, I then applied gold gilding wax with my finger around the four edges. mat andd layered it onto a card blank.

I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment using a gold sparkle EP, onto a small piece of card, added gilding wax to the edges, and mat and layered it onto the card

Visible Image stamps - Feather stamp - Pauline Butcher

The feather was stamped again onto a piece of heat proof acetate, with versamark, heat embossed using the gold sparkle EP again, and fussy cut, this was applied to the card using 3D glue.

Card Two

Visible Image stamps - Inky Butterfly - Live Life Now - Pauline Butcher

The stamp set is called Butterfly Inkognito Set.

I stamped both the butterfly and the sentiment on a white piece of card, using a Versamark pad, and heat embossed with Clear powder, when it had cooled, I blended over the stamping, using 3 colours of Distress ink, and like magic the image and sentiment appear, I then spritzed with water and dried.

Using a tacky glue on my index finger I went around the edges of the card, then sprinkled glitter on it to give a sparkly edge.

Visible Image stamps - Inky Butterfly stamp - Pauline Butcher.1

I stamped the butterfly using versamark, onto heat proof acetate, and heat embossed using a white detail powder, I folded the acetate so’s that the butterfly’s wings were together, and cut some rounded wings, taking off all the ink splats, this was attached to the card leaving the wings free to flutter, I added glitter glue for that extra sparkle.

Card three

Visible Image stamps - Behind Every Mask Lies A Story - Pauline Butcher

The stamp set is called Behind Every Mask.

Taking 2 similar colours of Distress ink, I used Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar, I put the ink straight from the pads onto my glass mat, sprayed water onto it so it was nice and wet, and ‘smooched’ (my term, lol) my card into the mixture to cover the card with a coloured wash, I dried it straight away using my heat gun. Using Picked Raspberry, I edged the cars with my blending tool.

Now to the bit that I did’nt show on TV, because of time… I mixed a small bit of gold mica powder with Picked Raspberry and water, and using a paint brush, I went around the edges of the background, I also did the same to a small piece of card for the sentiment. I added a touch more water to the mixture that was left, loaded up my paint brush with it and flicked it over the coloured background.

Taking the image and the sentiment, I stamped them both using Picked Raspberry, I also coloured in the iris’s of the eyes with a blue pen, and added a dot of gold mice & water to the middle of the eye.

Visible Image stamps - crow mask stamp - Pauline Butcher

I stamped the mask image with Versamark onto heat proof acetate, then used some yummy Pink/Gold sparkle EP  and heat sealed it, I fussy cut it, also cutting out the eyes too, and attached it to the card with 3D glue.

Thank you for watching the show, and also if you emailed in thank you too.

Check out the Visible Image Facebook Group, lots of daily inspiration, news and general chat, with lovely people who are fans of the awesome stamps.

I wish you and your families a very very Merry Christmas, and have a fabulous New Year.

Hugs, Pauline xxxxxx

Lisa Nygards has created 2 fabulous Christmas cards…

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Rockin Around - Christmas Tree - Lisa Nygards 1

Guess what? I’ve played with the brand new Christmas stamps from Visible Image this weekend! Whohooo, they are totally amazing if you like to play around with colors, papers, mixed media or whatever. My passion is spray mists and watercolors, so that is what I have for you today!

The ”rockin’ around the christmas tree” card is colored with watercolors on watercolor paper. Randomly picked and brushed on wet paper. When it was dry I splattered a tiny bit of blue on top and then stamped the tree and the sentiment. Since it’s watercolor paper with a pretty rough surface you won’t get the totally black image you’ll get on smooth paper. I think it just adds texture to the piece, but if you want it perfect black – pick a smooth paper! Stamp set is called Rockin’ Around, and you’ll find it HERE!

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Christmas Collage stamp - Lisa Nygards

Then I’ve made a pink (!) christmas card. *gasp* But isn’t it kind of cool and pretty? Once again I’ve used watercolor paper, but this time with mists in pink and grey/silver-ish. Let it dry and stamped the beautiful collage stamp ”Christmas Collage” on top. Like the other card, since it’s stamped on water color paper it adds texture to the image since the paper is a bit rough. The big snowflakes are grungeboard that I’ve painted with white gesso and added glitter to. Notice the badge in the middle of the big snowflake? It’s home made, and I’ve stamped the snowflake from the White Christmas set on a pink paper, cutted out in the right size for the badge and put it together. Think it becomes a beautiful center piece.

Now for something rather funky from Kim Robertson…

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Grungy Lips - Bite Me - Kim Robertson

So I was playing with my stamps and I remembered the gorgeous lips in the Bite Me set so I decided to have some nice bright lips on a grey background.. electric blue lips would look so good here too but I chose to go for red and glittery!

We will be sharing Kim’s brilliant tutorial for this card over the weekend 🙂

Teresa Morgan has created us two gorgeous Autumnal cards…

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Colours of The Wind - Tree Leaf stamp - Teresa Morgan

I have two different projects to share with you today, both using the fabulous Colours Of The Wind stamp set.

The first card uses the leaf stamp to create a beautiful background for one of the new sentiments..
I inked up the leaf stamp with several colours of Distress Inks and stamped randomly on the page before embossing with clear embossing powder. I then applied Peacock Feathers and Black Soot Distress inks over the remainder of the cardstock, wiping away any excess from the leaves (the embossing powder creates a resist). I sprinkled some water over the card to create a splodgy effect!

I coloured another piece of card with Distress inks and stamped the sentiment, then edged this and the background with gold embossing powder.

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Colours of The Wind - Tree Leaf stamp - Teresa Morgan 1

My second card uses the leaf as the focus..
I used Brushos to create the splodgy background for the leaf, then embossed with gold embossing powder. The bottom layer is coloured with Dylusions spray inks, and I stamped and embossed the sentiment in the corners.

Pauline Butcher has brought our Chandelier Set to life with stunning colour…

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Chandelier Set - Stamping inspiration - Pauline Butcher

This is an Anniversary card I made 3 weeks ago, using a fabulous set of stamps from Visible Image, the Chandelier Set

I used a very old technique on this card, I won’t tell you how I did it, as I shall be using it at my next workshop, but it does make your main images pop!

Next we have a gorgeously stylish Christmas card from Susanne Rose…

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Rockin Around - Christmas Tree - Susanne Rose

I used the brand new “Rockin’ Around” stamp set from Visible Image for this card. The tree and the sentiment are stamped with Memento Luxe ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. To bring some dimension to my card I added all of my layers with dimensional foam pads.

The tiny trees are cut with a die from Marianne Design. The red background is painted with Neocolor II watercolor crayons. I love this stamp set!!! It’s so modern and very funny!

And now for more gorgeousness from Doreen OBrien…

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Take The Moment - Butterfly - Doreen OBrien

I am back  with some inspiration using the gorgeous Visible Image stamps. I have brayered some Acrylic paints onto some tissue then over stamped with Grunge Harlequin.

Using some PVA glue I then attached this to my board before stamping on my sentiment “Take the Moment” and  the “Large Butterfly

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - White Christmas - Snowflake stamp - Doreen OBrien

Next up I have another Christmas card… I inked up the Snowflake from the “White Christmas” set and stamped all over some white card then inked around the edge using the same colour…
I then covered another piece of white card with the distress ink and white embossed the sentiment and edge. This was then attached to the backing using foam pads.

And here are 2 very different but equally fabulous cards from Karen Liddle showing just how versatile our stamps are…

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Believe in The Magic of Christmas - Karen Liddle

I inked Distress Ink ‘Evergreen Bough’, through a Memory Box stencil for the panel, and stamped one of the new Christmas Stamps Magic of Christmas

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Inky Horse stamp - Karen Liddle

And for my second card I’ve been playing with Brushos again……. still loving them!

The stamps used for this card is just one set – Revolution

Kim Johnny is loving creating Mail Art at the moment and our stamps are perfect for it…

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Inky grungy stamps - Flower - Butterfly - Kim Johnny

Each postcard is just about 4 inches by 6 inches and full of mixed fun!

I used the fabulous Flower INKognito and Butterfly INKognito stamps by Visible Image.

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Inky grungy stamps - Postcards - Kim Johnny

We will be sharing Kim’s tutorial here on our blog over the weekend!

Kim Bacon has played with non traditional Christmas colours with awesome results…

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Baby It's Cold - Snowflake - Kim Bacon

I deliberately went colour crazy with these! I just love the hot red which contrasts with the icy cold sentiment and the white embossing powder I used.

I started as I nearly always do by colouring some card with Brusho paint powders made into a liquid paint. A little pinch of powder in a spot of water goes a long way! I painted red, orange and yellow using a broad flat brush.

When this was dry I used the snowflake stamp with a dilute bleach solution first. Once dry I over stamped with a hot pink ink just off centre to make the image look 3D. I then added more snowflakes in red all over the card.

I stamped the sentiment onto a dark red piece of the painted card with white embossing powder before matting and layering with white card.

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Baby It's Cold - Snowflakes - Kim Bacon

The turquoise and purple card uses white embossing powder instead of bleach.  I then used 2 shades of turquoise for the other snowflakes.  I distressed the edges of the pieces of card by running my scissors down them and used a pin-wheel to give a faux stitched effect. I also used 2 sizes of white brads in the corners.

If you visit my blog often you will know that I am a frequent user of string! I love adding little knots to break up the long lines of string.

Sticking with non traditional colours, here are two more stunning Christmas cards from Lisa Nygards…

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Christmas Memories verse - Lisa Nygards 1

Oh, hey, wait…. is that orange? With a touch of turquoise?
Yep! It is, and it is a christmas card!! LOL Why not? Got a crazy feeling of mixing some non traditional christmas colors and I think it become pretty nice! I’ve played with some new and some old Christmas stamps. The orange (cool huh?) card is made with brand new stamps. Snowflake is from the set called White Christmas, and the beautiful verse is called Christmas Memories.

I’ve worked on watercolor paper and just randomly dripped color from mist bottles in orange and turquoise / teal colors. Dryed and dripped again and round up with just mists of water. Continue until you like what you see… not more complicated than that.

I stamped my snowflakes and the verse and then draw a frame (line) around my square of color. Finally I added glitter glue to the snowflakes to have them sparkle.

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Christmas Collage stamp - Lisa Nygards 4

For the brownish card I actually used my spray mists as mists! It’s gold and some moss green blended. I dried it with my heat gun and stamped the Christmas Colllage on top. As the paper it’s a bit rough the image will be a bit ”distressed”, just keep that in mind! Finished it up with glitter tape and a button.

And Teresa Morgan shows that traditional ‘silver and white’ give super stunning results too…

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Sparkle At Christmas - Teresa Morgan

The sun may be shining but my thoughts are turning to Christmas this week. This superb Sparkle At Christmas stamp set from Visible Image is perfect for a classically elegant card.

I stamped with Versamark ink and used Heat It Up Silver Tinsel embossing powder – I love the glittery bits….so hard to photograph though!

Pauline got funky with stamps and colour for our Mark’s Birthday last week…

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Man Inkognito - finger print - Pauline Butcher

I’m sharing a card I made recently for Mark Alexander’s Birthday! He is the designer, creator and maker of the awesome Visible Image Stamps.

I used Man INKognito, the script from Revolution, and the finger print stamp from the brilliant Drag & Drip set.

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Man Inkognito - Pauline Butcher

And using some of the Visible Image sentiment stamps, from various sets, I stamped my own message !!!!

Happy Birthday from the Captain Awesome Set,
Awesome from the Jake Skates Set,
You Rock from the Max Rocks Set,
You’re entirely Bonkers from the Mad Hatter,
and Love You to Bits from the Zombie Brian Set.

Distress Inks, Clingfilm & Gorgeous Visible Image Stamps!

Hello 🙂 We are back with more gorgeous inspiration for you!

Over to Pauline Butcher…

Hi again,

Another week gone, and I’m back to share three cards I’ve made using some of the very unique stamps from Visible Image.

I have used the same inking technique on all three cards, using glossy cardstock, Distress Inks applied with a Brayer, and then clingfilmed until dry. I love the effect it gives.

The first card was stamped in versamark and then heat embossed using black powder. The Visble Image stamps I used were…..
Behind Every MaskBirds and Feathers from Free Your Imagination and Happy Birthday.

Visible Image stamps - Crow Mask stamp - Pauline Butcher

I used the inky side of the flower stamp and distress inks to edge this card, and again heat embossed the main images.
The stamps used here were….. Flower INKognito and an older Visible Image sentiment, that some of you might have.

Visible Image stamps - Inky Flower stamp - Pauline Butcher

And again I used a stamp from the set with Distress inks, to edge this card, and  some frantage powder below the horse.

Colourful Inky Inspiration with Visible Image stamps

Hi! We’re back with our Fabulous Friday post from Pauline…

Hi again,

Today I’m sharing a couple of 6″ x 6″ cards I’ve made using some fantastic Visible Image stamps.

My first card uses…..

Visible Image stamps - Butterfly INKognito - Inky Butterfly - Pauline Butcher

I created the background using Distress Inks in 3 colours, and then used a stencil over the top and spritzed with water, to give the sun ray effect. I stamped the butterfly and sentiment with versamark and heat embossed with black powder. I then added 3 colours of Stickles to the butterfly to give the sparkle.

The stamps used on the second card are…..
Woman INKognitoRipped Fishnet and ‘Love Yourself’ from the No Regrets Set.

The background for this card was created with Brusho’s and water, left to dry
, then stamped the Woman in Versamark and heat embossed using Black Embossing powder, I masked her off and stamped the Fishnet with Versamark, and heat embossed that using Pink Embossing powder. I then went over the Woman with a Black Viva Perlen Pen, to make it very dimensional, I also added some Stardust Stickles, and some Pink Stickles for sparkle of course. I coloured a small piece of card with Distress inks, spritzed with water, then stamped the sentiment with Versamark and heat embossed with Black embossing powder.

I am now going to spread a little ‘Visible Image’ love..
I never tire of using these fabulous stamps, apart from the superb quality, these thick polymer stamps are made in house, hand poured and hand cut by Mark, the designer himself, so they are very very unique in every way. Helen does all the packaging, administration, and networking, together they make an Awesome Team. So if you’ve not tried the stamps yet, have a go and see what you think.

A new Visible Image ‘Show and Tell’ challenge has started, so get stamping, and produce some work to enter it, details HERE.

Check out the Visible Image Facebook group too for news of goings on, HERE.

Big hugs, Pauline xxxxx
