Go Where Your Dreams Take You

Hi there! We have a stunning card from Jane Tyrrell to share with you next today!

Over to Jane…

Wow what amazing weather we enjoyed last weekend.

I have been watching the bulbs sprouting in my pots and my tulips are looking great…
the first to bloom was this lovely mellow yellow variety.

My lovely tulips inspired me to go for something cheerful and bright for my Monday Design team inspiration piece for Visible Image today.

I got out one of my favourite sentiments from the:

and used the middle and small sized dragonflies from the:

I put a circle mask into the centre of my card and repeat stamped the dragonflies using different yellow and oranges from my Distress inks.

You can just make it out in the bottom right larger dragonfly above that I added a wink of stella glitter to the wings.

I black embossed some extra dragonflies on some inky card and then fussy cut them out.

I added a wink of Stella glitter and then Glossy Accents for lots of shine and shimmer.

Then it was time to put my card together.

It was very hard to photograph as it is so sparkly in real life!

Bye for now,

Jane x

Wow what a stunner! Gorgeous design and the dragonflies look wonderful. Thank you Jane ♡

Welcoming Jane Tyrrell

Hi there! Thanks for visiting our blog today. It’s been an incredibly busy week shipping all the orders from last week’s trade show and finalising all the preparations for this Saturday’s show on Create and Craft TV! We will give you all the details for that tomorrow, first of all we have some exciting news to share…

Last year we had some guest Design Team members, one of which was the wonderfully talented Jane Tyrrell. We recently asked Jane if she would create some samples with some of our NEW stamps and she kindly agreed. We were so impressed by them that we have now welcomed her back to the team as a full Design Team member!

Here’s a little bit about Jane along with her first official blog post as a DT member…

Jane Tyrrell

Hello I’m Jane from Jane’s Journal and after working for 34 years, until April 2016, as an NHS physiotherapist I am now free to follow my crafting journey.

I have been creative since I could hold a pencil and I have been paper crafting for over 15 years, more seriously since 2012. I am also a silversmith, jewellery maker, keen photographer, gardener and occasional cake decorator.  I have been lucky enough to have some of my cards published and I now sell my cards at a local vintage tea rooms.  I enjoy using different crafting techniques and styles and you will see me create anything from shabby chic, vintage to cute. I make cards, art journal pages, tags, mixed media pieces and altered objects and I love playing with new products. However my first love is, and always will be, stamping. I still own my very first stamp! I discovered Visible Image stamps in their very earliest days and I have been delighted to watch their meteoric rise in the crafting world. Their stamps really offer something different in this very competitive crafting market. I am thrilled to now be joining their team and to be a part of their ongoing creative journey.

I write a blog where I share my inky creativity as well as my photography. I am totally inspired by my surroundings and by Mother Nature. I am lucky enough to have a little garden studio where I create during the warmer months of the year, surrounded by my flowers and “helped” by my sweet cat Billy.

I have been very busy with some secret crafting for the last couple of weeks, which I can finally share with you. You may remember that I did some Guest Design work for my favourite stamp company, Visible Image, last year from September to December?

They had a new stamp release in February which has taken the crafting world by storm as they are so fabulous. Helen, of Visible Image contacted me a few weeks ago and asked if I would be interested in making some samples for their latest TV appearance on Create and Craft, using 2 of the new sets. Of course I said yes and once my stamps arrived I shut myself away for a few days and made them 5 cards.

My regular blogging buddies know that Billy our cat features big time in our life.
He loves climbing wall and fences and can often be spotted sitting on them.

So one of the sets I chose to work with just had to be their awesome cat set. It’s called Curious Cats…

Isn’t it brilliant?

You can also see all the new releases over in the Visible Image shop.

I thought I would share my first cat sample here today. It may very well be visible in the background on Create and Craft this Saturday, 4th March. I shall keep an eye out and wave if I spot it 😉. The show is on at 10am (GMT) on Sky 674 or Freeview 23 or you can watch it via the Create and craft Website here. I have set up my recorder in case I’m not around at 10am.

Here is my card….inspired by my sweet Billy……I have called it Billy’s Fence. He also has a friend called Blackie who visits him and looks just like the cats walking along the fence here…

2017-03-02 Visible Image - Curious Cats - stamps - Jane Tyrrell

I made the fence with lots of DecoArt paints on card. I also used some crackle paint to give lots of worn texture.
I then distressed it…literally by removing some panels and added the large cat face.

The small walking cats were embossed and fussy cut out

I created a sunny scene using Distress inks and used the cat’s whiskers stamp from the set for my grass.

To finish off my card I added glossy accents to the eyes and nose.

I even decorated the inside…and used the sweet paw print and the sentiment which also comes with the set.

Here is my card once more…

2017-03-02 Visible Image - Curious Cats - stamps - Jane Tyrrell

I had to share this photo too…whilst photographing my other samples Billy got in on the act in my light tent.

He is certainly true to the sentiment eh…..😼😻😺

I am really looking forward to sharing their onward creative journey as part of their Team.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Take care 💓
Bye for now,
Jane x

We absolutely love this card, very clever designing! It’s very ‘curious cats’ indeed!
And isn’t Billy adorable in those photos.. I think he is wondering who his new friend is!!!

We are so happy to welcome you to the team Jane, and cannot wait to show off some of your other samples!
They are stunning ♡

We will be back with more NEW stamps inspiration soon.

Thanks again for visiting today.

If You Believe

Hello there! Thank you so much for coming to visit our blog today. We have some rather magical inspiration for you from Nicky Gilburt…

Anything is possible if you Believe… that couldn’t be more true!

My card share for this week is made with the incredible new Believe in Unicorns stamp set from Visible Image,
available NOW as part of the February 2017 new releases.

Visible Image Believe In Unicorns moon stars COL stamp set

The unicorn may look a bit familiar BUT look at those new additions – the moon, those clouds, the stars….it’s just beautiful!

So here’s what I did with it:

2017-02-12 Visible Image - unicorn stamp - believe quote - Nicky Gilburt

I am mad for my new Tim Holtz Distress Crayons right now, so I made a coloured background using the crayons and a water spritzer, and covered it in swathes of black (with a recent northern lights encounter in mind!) But it’s amazing how the colour still comes through, just enough to see. I then allowed it to dry

1. I cut a rocky ground base from spare card and gave my unicorn something to stand by applying a layer of Versafine onyx black ink.
2. I stamped the unicorn with Versamark and heat embossed with white powder. I did the same for the moon.
3. I made a mask for the moon so that I could stamp two clouds behind and then one over, and embossed in silver. I then stamped and embossed the sentiment.
4. I added the crossed stars in silver and a few stamps of stars in white, then trimmed to size and mounted onto holographic card, then onto a black 15cm square card base.

Happy crafting!

Stunning card Nicky! Loving those Northern lights ♡
You will find more of Nicky’s fabulous cards and projects over on her blog.

Thanks again for visiting today, we’ll be back with lots more awesome NEW stamps inspiration
over the coming week while we prepare for the BIG Trade Show here in the UK next weekend!

Rainy Day Sparkle – Visible Image

Hi there! We are sharing some more awesome inspiration by Elina today.

As we head into winter we expect lots of rainy days! So keep this sentiment in mind…

The backgrounds of these cards were first inked with Distress inks and the patterns were added with plain water: On the larger card I let water just drip down creating light vertical lines. Once dry I added more water on the bottom of the card, and splashed some drops on the upper part of the background.

On the smaller ATC card I first inked the background, and placed a stencil with vertical dot lines on the cardstock. I misted the stencil with water, pressed dry with a paper towel, and removed the stencil. Creating fun patterns on your project background could not be easier!

Cardmaking: Stamped ATC card with inked background

On the larger card I stamped and fussy cut the quote text, but for an ATC sized card the text was too big. I used the same lovely quote, but wrote it with tiny rub-on letters. I have bought the letter set from craft flea market and I love it! The set is years old, but the rub-ons still work well. Originally the set was needed for correcting machine writer typing errors- a little piece of history, isn’t it!

On the ATC card I stamped the image with Archival ink. For the larger card I used black embossing powder that had a hint of sparkle in it.

The ‘Sparkle’ word on the larger card was heat embossed twice; first using black powder and then a second time with a hint of glitter powder.

The stamps are from Visible Image: ‘Sparkle In The Rain’ and ‘Smile Sparkle Shine’. Love them!

Cardmaking: Stamped card with inked background

Despite any the rainy weather I wish you a sparkling day!

The Butterfly Effect @ Visible Image

Hi there! We have more gorgeous inspiration for you here on the blog today.

Here’s Teresa Morgan with a stunning card that you may have seen on our Create and Craft TV show last month…

Welcome to my project for the week. I have used the amazing Ripple Effect stamp set along with one of the gorgeous new butterfly sets to create this modern card.

My background is a Gelli Plate print using DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics onto glossy card. I stamped the ripples over the base card with Versamark ink and embossed with WOW Powders in Opaque White and Bluetiful.

Visible Image Stamps - The Ripple Effect, Be your own kind of beautiful

The butterflies are stamped and embossed onto Heat Resistant acetate in silver, then cut out and glued along the bodies onto the ripples.

To finish, I stamped and embossed the sentiment before cutting apart and matting onto blue card. This is attached with 3d foam.

Brightening Your Day @ Visible Image

Hello 🙂 We are back with more brilliant inspiration for you!

Elina Strömberg‎ has been creating the most amazing cards with our NEW stamps…

Have you been following the product release news in the Visible Image Facebook group over the past days? Don’t the new February release items just get your creative juices flowing! If you want to get a good overview of the entire product release just follow this link to see them all!

I was very lucky to have the chance to play with those goodies already a few days back. And here’s a set of three cards I made:

The versatile Shine Bright stamp set was perfect for playing with watercolours. I started with stamping the lightbulb image on heavy watercolour paper, and continued with covering the edges with masking fluid. Masking fluid protected my lightbulb when I started adding yellow and orange watercolours on the background.

2016-02-10 Visible Image stamps - Shine Bright - light bulb stamp - Elina Stromberg

Once the watercolour was dry I wanted to add more texture on the background, and used yellow ink and a mask to draw light beams around the lightbulb.

I finished the card by colouring the lightbulb with water soluable crayons and white gesso, and heat embossed the ‘Shine Bright’ text on the card front.

Orange and yellow were the main colours for the following two cards, too. The adorable 80’s look of the cassette in the ‘Just Hit Play’ stamp set made me choose a bit retro colour palette with several yellow and orange tones. (Or maybe it was the rainy and grey winter weather that asked again for bright sunny colours, lol!)

I started the CAS style card with stamping circles on the background. I stamped the image one more time on a piece of scrap paper, cut out the center of it, and used the piece of paper as a mask when colouring the circles. I did not colour all the circles as I wanted the background to have enough white in order to keep the look light and airy.

Stamping the quote on two lines only required some masking, as the stamp holds the texts on four lines. For alining the texts perfectly I could have used a stamp placement tool, but I did not mind that the lines were jumping a bit.

I used a piece of white vellum as quote background. Vellum is an easy way to calm down a busy background and to highlight elements like this quote text.

I often continue the card front pattern on the inside of the card. I think it gives the project a nice finished look. This time I simply cut a slip of white cardstock, stamped the same circles images on it, coloured them with yellow ink, glued the strip on a piece of vellum, and adhered it on the inside of the card. Done!

2016-02-10 Visible Image stamps - Just Hit Play - scribbled circles stamps - Elina Stromberg

When inking the yellow and orange background of my second ‘Just Hit Play’ card I used a strip of scrap paper as a mask. When finished I splashed some water on the inked surface, and after drying with the heat gun the light splash marks created a nice texture on the colourful background.

2016-02-10 Visible Image stamps - Just Hit Play - cassette tape stamp - Elina Stromberg

Then I stamped the cassette image on white cardstock, cut it out, and glued it on a piece of corrugated cardboard. 3D stickers would have worked just as fine, but cardboard is a much cheaper material when you need to lift a larger element from the background. Under the cassette there’s some black sewing thread that I glued down with tiny glue marks.

I’m sure I will use both of these new stamp sets not just for creating more cards, but also for decorating my scrapbooking layouts and art journal projects. The images are stunning, and I know they both will be a big hit!

The above cards were made using these Visible Image products (click on the pictures for more info):

Wishing you a nice and bright day!

Hit The Play Button @ Visible Image

Hello! We are back with more exciting NEW stamps inspiration!

Over to Teresa Morgan…

Hello and welcome back for another dose of stamping inspiration. Once again I am sharing another of the fantastic new release designs which is called ‘Just Hit Play’.

Visible Image stamps - Just Hit Play - Retro cassette tape stamp - Teresa Morgan

Teresa Morgan

I love the detail in this photo realistic cassette stamp and the funky button icons in the sentiment. I went with some bright (slightly retro) colours to keep this card loud and upbeat.

The background is created with Dylusions Spray Inks, and the cassettes were stamped onto white card then carefully cut out then glued in place. The excess was trimmed from around the edges.

Visible Image Stamps - Just Hit Play

The sentiment was stamped onto a strip of black card then embossed with opaque WOW powders.

I hope you are as excited to see these fabulous new releases as we are – all the new designs are now available to pre-order on the website, six of them will be launched on Create and Craft TV on Sunday 14th February.

Wings of Sympathy – Visible Image stamps

Hello and thank you for coming to visit us here on the Visible Image blog today!

We have some stunning inspiration for you today and more NEW stamps previews too 🙂

First up is Pauline Butcher with a really beautiful card…

Hi there,
It’s time for me to share another creation I’ve made, using Visible Image Stamps.
Unfortunately, I had to make a sympathy card for a friend, never a nice thing to do, but these lovely stamps came to my rescue, and I kept it nice, simple and quick, almost ‘clean and simple’.

Visible Image stamps - Inky Butterfly - With Sympathy - Pauline Butcher
The stamps I used are…

I stamped the Inkognito Butterfly using Black Versafine onto white card, then blended Picked Raspberry Distress ink lightly around the edges. I mixed some of the same coloured ink with water, and flicked it over the card.

I stamped the Large Butterfly onto another piece of card, using Versamark, and heat embossed using Black detail powder, fussy cut it, then coloured it using Distress Inks and a water brush.
I stamped the sentiment using Black Versafine ink.

I put a paper middle inside the card too, using the beautiful verse that comes in the the sentiment set.
Get your entries into the January Show & Tell, for a chance of winning some vouchers for some fantastic Visible Image stamps, and don’t forget to become a member of their Facebook group, where the new February stamp designs are being shown daily.

Some of these new designs will be showcased on Create & Craft TV, on February 14th at 10am.. Mark and myself will be showing you some more demo’s.

Thank you for popping by,
Hugs, Pauline xxxx

Such a beautiful card Pauline, for such a sad occasion ♡

We will be back with our next preview… this one’s a bit retro!

See you later 🙂

Hi! Thanks for coming to visit our blog today.

Here’s Susanne Rose with her first post for 2016…

It’s my day today to share some inspiration with the super unique Visible Image Stamps. I used the awesome Behind Every Mask stamp set on top of a gelli print. The background is cut with a stitched rectangle die. I stamped the main image with StazOn jet black ink. I colored the eyes with Polycolor pencils. Finally I add the sentiment with fine detail gold embossing power.

Visible Image stamps - Behind Every Mask lies a story - Susanne Rose

I used a stencil from The Crafter’s Workshop for my gelli print. I love playing with the monoprinting plate. The results are most of the time totally amazing. And you have always some good backgrounds to play with.

See you soon. I wish you a Happy New Year!!!

Thanks Susanne, loving this image on the vibrant background, and such gorgeous shimmer!

We will be back a little later with a brand new project from Kim Bacon 🙂

Visible Image stamps – latest inspiration

Hello There! Thank you so much for coming to visit us here on the Visible Image blog today!

We are catching up with all the latest cards and projects from our wonderful team today, the blog has been a little neglected these last few days… first we had our crazy Black Friday SALE which you loved!!! And we are working non stop making lots of gorgeous stamps for our fantastic return to Create & Craft TV on December 12th 🙂 Mark and Pauline have some amazing demos planned… can’t wait!

Ok, are you sitting comfortably and ready to be inspired?

Here’s what the girls have been up to…

Pauline Butcher

I’m back to share some Visible Image inspiration with you. It’s a simple tag, I love tags, because they can be so quick to make, and there’s no pressure, lol !!!!

The stamp set I used is Leave your Fears

I used Brusho’s on the background, sprinkling and spritzing, then holding the tag on it’s side to drip down. I stamped using Versamark ink, and heat embossed with Black EP. The sentiment was heat embossed onto a small piece of card, again after Brusho’s had been dripped down it. The Viscose ribbon ( American Seam Binding) was coloured using Distress Inks. Simple, I hope you’ll give it a go.
See you soon,
Hugs, Pauline xxxxx

Susanne Rose

Hi my dear Visible Image Friends!

I’d like to share a mixed media card today, which is created with the gorgeous
Butterfly INKognito and the Live Life Now stamps from Visible Image.

Visible Image stamps - Butterfly - Live Life Now - Susanne Rose

I primed the background with white gesso first. After this was dry I embossed the butterfly stamp with clear powder. I also stamped part of the stamp in the left upper corner. I added colour with the Marabu Art Sprays. They are based on acrylics and can be removed from the embossed parts with a babywipe. The sentiment is stamped with StazOn.

Other supplies:
Marabu Art Sprays (Chili, Raspberry, Petrol)
StazOn Jet Black
Clear Embossing Powder

I wish you a nice day, Susanne.

The weather finally feels chilly here, funny since about a week ago it was way above average and so hot!

So continuing with my wondeful Wintery tags for Visible Image, I have “Baby it’s cold outside”, today!

I sort of made my own Wintery set here, I used stamps from three different sets:
all 100% amazing Visible Image, “Baby It’s Cold”“White Christmas” and “Rockin Around”.

Visible Image stamps - Baby It's Cold - Kim Johnny

The background was created using various acrylic paints on my homemade gelatin plate.

Visible Image stamps - Baby It's Cold - Kim Johnny 2

The snowflakes and sentiment were stamped directly onto the tag using Wow Opaque Bright White powder. The “Rockin'” tree was embossed with Wow Metallic Silver Ultra High. The Ultra High makes such an amazing texture, love it! I used a Perfect Medium pen to scribble the icicles and embossed in the same Opaque Bright White.

Visible Image stamps - Baby It's Cold - Tag - Kim Johnny

To add more depth and “chill” I randomly added some UTEE clear all over the tag.

I am freezing now, yikes! Time for some hot chocolate, yum 🙂

Keep warm & cool where ever you may be!

Kim Bacon

Oh I love working with these Visible Image stamps! This flower from the INKognito range is just amazing.

Visible Image stamps - Imperfection is Beauty - Inky Flower stamp - Kim Bacon

The background is from remnants for a BIGGER Visible Image project which I am keeping under wraps for the moment. I first coloured some white card with Brusho paints and then applied a very dry layer of white gesso. For half of the card I then stamped the circles from the universal set and coloured some of them in with red Brusho. Another dry brushing with gesso before stamping and embossing in black with the sentiment and the flower. Each piece was then machine sewn onto black card.

I go for green today! I love the beauty of a clean card. The background is made with 4 different green distress inks. Then the mask and sentiment are stamped on top with black ink pad. To frame it I draw a line with a black thin marker. And yes – I used a ruler!

Goodbye Autumn Colours – Visible Image Stamps

Hello again! Thanks for joining us here on the blog today 🙂

Lisa Nygards is here with her latest inspiration…

I think this will be the last card with autumn theme for this season. The bright beautiful colors are gone and leaves are on the ground and most of the nature are turning brown-ish. Sad thing. Now it will be dark and boring until we get some snow that lighten things up.

I’ve used the Colours of the Wind set on my card. I colored the leaf up with rainbow inkpads and misted with some water before I stamped it on a watercolor paper. Then I inked up part by part of the word stamp and stamped on the side. Decorated with some bling and sequins and splattered some black dots all over for dimension.

Autumn Time – Visible Image stamps

Good Afternoon! We have a fantastic tutorial for you here on the blog today, from one of our very talented demonstrators Kim Robertson, featuring of course some of our stunning stamps!

Over to Kim…

Hi folks

I have been creating with the Autumn/fall feel therefore I used colours appropriate to this time of year, before I start getting all ‘pink’ for raising awareness and funds for Breast Cancer Care, which is so important to all of us in many different ways. So today I used the wonderful Winter Tree which I had been coveting for so very long, and finally Helen treated me to it after the Ally Pally show! Along with some other wonderful goodies including this fabulous sentiment entitled  “What Really Matters”and the Colours Of The Wind set.

So here is today’s card…

2015-10-12 Visible Image stamps - Winter Tree - What Really Matters - Kim Robertson

I was really pleased with how this one came out as I simply love these colours, so warm and vibrant.

If you would like to learn how I put this one together then please read on…

I started by  inking my Winter Tree stamp with Versafine archival ink in Sepia, and used just the branches to adding some low hanging broken branches across the top and upper sides of the card. I also stamped the whole tree to the bottom left in the same ink.

I used a template of a circle here to rub a little scattered straw Distress Ink off the circle to give a yellow glow

I stamped out the sentiment also in versafine but black onyx this time.

I used a light grey promarker to give a slight shadow to the tree and make it look like it is more 3D from the page.

Starting to use more of that same Scattered Straw distress ink, I rubbed a little around the edges of the age allowing a couple of spots where the ink streaks further onto the page.

I used a range of warm tones to further enhance the edges and drag some colour into the picture too, I used next Wild Honey and then Rusty Hinge and Vintage Photo, still using just the same piece of cut and dry foam as we did at the show, those of you who took my little make and takes will know, or if your an inker like me.

I also added some gold sakura stardust and metallic pens to highlight the tree, you can also paint with them if you used a wet brush, so I added a light wash of warm goldy mica sparkle in paces too, which is very hard to pick up on camera of course.

I further enhanced the tree, the non shadow side, with the metallic pen which you can see the light bouncing off here.

I also added some white gel pen on the very highlighted parts of the tree, and a highlight to the sentiment and the edges of the branches too.

I added a light spritz of water in places to spread out the ink a little with a brush, and give it that water painted feel. And while it was still damp, I brushed on some Blush Perfect pearls mica powder, these have their own binding agents so no need to set, but if you new the card would be handled a lot once you had finished you could spray a fine mist of hairspray into the air and waft the card through it but don’t spray it directly onto the card as it will leave either a wet patch or stain and the paper will have a transparent look to it, spoiling all your hard work.

You can see in the picture above the mica shimmering on the card in random places and it took on the colours of the ink but also had a pinky coral tone to it too which really looked good with these ink tones.

So from here I wanted to add some mat and layers and I used cream gold and a redy Burgundy pearl for the outer edge, to bring out the tones in the perfect pearl.

You can see the tone of the red card better in this one .

And here, you can start to see the ink layers and the mica  but also the shadow and the highlight on the tree.

Lastly I used the small little leaf stamps from the Colours of the Wind set which I love, and used them to create the little mixed leave montage along the bottom of this card.  I used Iced Spruce, Vintage Photo , Fired Brick and Rusty Hinge, and once they were all dry I went back in with some metallic pen washed over with a little water brush and some white highlights in places and grey shadow too, as before.

Here is a close up of the ink layers and how the leaves stand forward proud like they do because of the shadows and highlights etc.

2015-10-12 Visible Image stamps - Winter Tree - What Really Matters - Kim Robertson

The finished card again… I truly hope you like this card as much as I do.

So here are the stamp sets used…

I hope you enjoyed this one and will maybe try it for yourself, or create something like it, as this could easily be a picture for the wall, or other art. It doesn’t have to be a card… it could be a tag or a wall plaque too.

Huge crafty hugs to all.

Isn’t this card just so beautiful, captures Autumn perfectly! Love all those rich colours.

Thank you so much Kim xxx

We will be turning our blog PINK for the rest of this week, leading up to our BIG PINK BLOG HOP on Friday! Raising money for Breast Cancer Care.

Hope you will pop back later to see some fabulous PINK PROJECTS!

Lip Smacking Good Stamps @ Visible Image

Good Evening 🙂 Thank you for coming to visit our blog.

We have a few brilliant tutorials to share with you this evening!

Over to the very fabulous Kim Robertson…

Hello everyone!

Nice to be here with you.

So I was playing with my stamps and I remember the gorgeous lips in the Bite Me set so I decided to have some nice bright lips on a grey background. Electric blue lips would look so good here too but I chose to go for red and glittery!

So here is the card….

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Grungy Lips - Bite Me - Kim Robertson

And of course me being me I added some vampy fangs in there haha..

I really do love backgrounds like this which I created with just a few greys and a black soot blended edging. You can do this with almost any colour tone on tone to make it have the same sort of effect and then just one pop of colour makes the picture really stand out.

So If you like this card just keep watching to see how to do it…

To start I took a piece of white card and used some grey flannel momento ink and stamped with the Bronte script stamp which everyone knows is one of my absolute favourites, no need to cover the centre as we will be covering that up.

Next I used the same grey ink and a piece of cut and dry to bend in the edges a litte along with a little weathered wood and some London fog ink from momento too. I did go back and add a tiny bit of the black much stronger around the very edge as it really make it a stand out. I set this piece aside for now.

On a smaller piece of card in red momento dew drop ink I stamped the lips and using several distress pens and a black pen and a white gel pen I added all the shade and highlights from the lips.. I drew around the edge of the lips in grey to make them stand forward and added some fangs on the edge of teeth.

I took some white glue that dries clear and added some glass glitter with shards of glass very finely cut but so very sparkly just on the lips no where else. I also matted that piece on to a thin black mat of card.

The backing piece was also matted onto black card and I added the words that came with the lips which was simply “Bite Me lol”.  I used back archival ink for that and got a nice dark image.

I gave the whole back piece a mat and layer in black and white with a little foam under to raise the centre up just sightly, then I was ready for the centre to be added to the card with thicker foam.

To finish it all off I simple added the dot to the I with a square gem some tiny hand cuffs that dangle so cute plus a couple of locks and a key and lastly some shiny stones in the corner.

Here are some other images of the now finished card, the time that took the most i used to get the lips shaded perfectly with several different distress ink pens.

I chose this angle so you could see me how the little items help play a part in the role of this card and how embellishments can help really theme a card.

So the stamps from the amazing Visible Image used on this card are shown here…

Lots of love for today my friends.

Such a great card.. and thanks for your fantastic tutorial Kim! Love the glossy red lips against the grey.

We will be back shortly with another tutorial, from Kim Johnny this time 🙂
