Seas of Blue

Hi there! We hope you are enjoying all the gorgeous inspiration we have been sharing here on the blog.
Lots more still to come today too!

Next up.. Jane Tyrrell is back with another stunning seahorse project…

It’s a cold day and time for another dose of inspiration for Visible Image. The new release stamps have gone down a storm in the crafting world. America has fallen in love with their stamps at Creativation, just much as we hoped (and knew!) that they would. I am so proud and delighted for them.

I have a real “thing” about seahorses (as I do mermaids) and I was thrilled to see that in the new release Mark had designed this totally awesome seahorse… with a little Visible Image grunge of course.

Isn’t he gorgeous! The words and the little ripple stamps in the set are fab too.

I decided to make a wall hanging for my sample and this is what I got up to.

We had just had our son’s dog to stay. These dog food boxes are made of very sturdy cardboard and I use them lots in my crafting. I cut my card to size and used 2 pieces glued together to give a sturdy base.

I then covered the base with hessian.

I used lots of sunny alcohol inks to create a seaside background and stamped and coloured my seahorse on tissue paper. I stuck this to card and fussy cut out.

I then added the sentiment and some waves using the other stamps in the fab seahorse set.

I embossed some “seaweed” over the top of my seahorse using stamps from the Organics stamp set.

These stamps are perfect for tree, branches, seaweed and anything “organic”.

I mounted it onto my hessian hanging and added photo corners and some handmade artisan lampwork glass beads to represent glass sea buoys.

I added a string hanger and my seahorse was ready to wave.

My seahorse has been waving from the side of the Visible Image desk at Creativation.. I hope he is enjoyed his trip the the USA! It has been amazing to see my artwork helping to decorate their amazing booth. Do check out their photos on Facebook… it has been a showstopper and their trip a total success. An even greater crafting journey now awaits Visible Image… a vision has come true… through creativity, originality, dedication and sheer hard work by Helen and Mark. It is so well deserved.

Back soon,

Bye for now,
Jane x

Dare To Swim

Hello! Thank you for visiting our blog today. We have been in ‘Creativation mode’ all week so far.. we are getting very excited to be visiting the USA for the very first time and have been planning our rather colourful booth! Our Design Team are creating stunning things with our ‘top secret’ new stamps for our stand too.. more on that in the New Year!!

Today we have some very gorgeous inspiration from Lisa Taggart here on the blog, featuring one of our top selling sets from 2017…

A little break from Christmas and snow today. I’m sharing an underwater scene using the ‘Dare to Swim’ stamps from Visible Image . It’s a bit experimental using alcohol inks and  my Spectrum noir markers onto Yupo paper. The effect gives a slightly impressionistic murky scene where achieving clear images proved allusive! I embraced it in the end and just went with the flow … excuse the pun!

I began by adding alcohol inks and let them make patterns. I stamped the images on top using black stazon ink and highlighted the scene using inks; alcohol pens; black and white markers and some stickles  in peacock.

Jazzing Up The New Year!

Hello! We have some awesome musical inspiration for you today from our Australian designer Dot Leathbridge…

Herald In The New Year

This jazz player from the “Jazz it Up” set seemed like the perfect way to kick off the new year.

I hope everyone had a fantastic night for the New Year’s celebrations, partied hard and stayed safe.

For me…it was down at the beach, slouching back in a camper chair and letting the fireworks fall down right over the top of me. Catching up with old friends, meeting new ones and having a couple of quiet drinks…it was another great night of seeing out the old and heralding in the new year.

This is the beginning of my 2nd year with Visible Image and I can’t wait to see what exciting things Mark and Helen have in store for us all.

Mark and Helen have also settled into their new HQ and are rearing to go.

The background for this one is quite simple, using alcohol inks. The brightness of the colours make the silhouette of the jazz player stand out.  This Jazz It Up set has been a favourite of mine since the very beginning…so versatile and full of fun!

I love the new additions to this set and what has been introduced across the whole range at Visible Image.  The new stars from the Feel The Beat set were a perfect finish for this card.

For me, I have been adding to my stock and now have quite a good range of Visible Image stamps for sale in Australia….so, exciting times ahead. My e-mail addy for any enquiries is: [email protected]

Inky Flower stamp – Visible Image

Good Morning 🙂 Yay it’s the weekend!

Sorry for missing yesterday’s post (seems to be becoming a habit!) but it’s for a very good reason… Loads of orders from our awesome customers keeping us extremely busy!!! Thank you <3

So here’s Pauline’s ‘Fabulous Friday’ post which, if you follow Pauline’s blog, you will have seen yesterday!

Hey my crafty friends, how are you?

Another week has flown by, and I’ve been busy creating, as usual.

I was having a bit of  sort out, and found my Alcohol inks, so have been playing with them, I love their bright juicy colours, and of course they are the perfect match with some awesome Visible Image Stamps.

05-02-2015 Visible Image stamps - Inky Flower - Grungy Stem - Brushos - Pauline Butcher

Using a Distress Ink blending tool with a piece of felt, I put 3 colours of Alcohol ink onto the felt, and a drop of Blending Fluid, then pounced over a piece of  8″x 8″ white gloss card.

For the first card I cut a 5″ x 5″ piece from the pattered card I had just made, and stamped  the flower and stem using Versamark, and heat embossed using Black powder, then using the Happy Birthday stamp, did the same. a little bit of mat and layering onto a 6″ card blank and some Stickles, and hey presto……..

The second card was the left over pieces of  the card I had coloured, and again using the same stamps and versamark, but this time using a black sparkle embossing powder, adding Stickles to finish. 2 Very simple cards made.

05-02-2015 Visible Image stamps - Happy Birthday - Inky Flower - Pauline Butcher

The Visible Image stamps used on these two cards were…

Flower INKognito ( one of my favourite ) and the Happy Birthday Set.

This was a tag I made for the lovely Mrs Awesome, (aka) Helen, as she was feeling very under the weather with ‘manflu’ last week caught from Mr Awesome himself, Mark, the owners of Visible Image Stamps.

05-02-2015 Visible Image stamps - Tag - Inky Butterfly stamp - Pauline Butcher

I made this tag in the same way as before, but instead of pouncing the ink, I dragged and weaved my tool onto the card, giving a sort of wavy effect, I stamped the Inkognito butterfly, and heat embossed in black powder again, I then stamped the large butterfly with Versamark and heat embossed, onto a small piece of heat resistant acetate, and fussy cut it, fixing it above the butterfly on the tag, a sentiment and some mat and layers, and of course Stickles to finish.

The Visible Image stamps I used on this were…
