Lost Chances

Hello! We are back with more gorgeous inspiration for you.

As you probably know if you follow our blog, Veerle Moreels makes really beautiful tags, and today’s is no exception…

When you look back…are there things you would have done differently? I know I would, who doesn’t in the end. And of course we regret some of the things we have or haven’t done. So once in a while it’s good to remember…

Nothing you can do now to turn back the clock and change it, so no reason to keep thinking of it I suppose. Only learn from it to never put yourself in that position again and just take every chance you get no matter what.

Stamps Used:

Take Chances

Universal

Scripted Streets

The Ripple Effect

You can see how Veerle creates her delicate water colour backgrounds over on her YouTube channel.

And you’ll find more stunning projects over on Veerle’s blog.

Free as a Dragonfly

Hi there! We are back with more stunning inspiration this evening here on the blog.

Teresa Morgan is here with a brand new project…

Hello and welcome to another Thursday inspiration post from me for Visible Image.

I have used stamps from three sets to decorate my gatefold card today.

My background is Distress Inks, smooshed on a craft mat. I then splattered some water drops and blotted to create a faux bleach effect. Next, I stamped and embossed the sentiment, framing with the coffee ring stamp (embossed in white.) Finally I stamped and embossed the dragonflies, circling around.

The outer panels began the same way, but I then stamped and embossed the ink splats ramdomly over them.

Getting Sentimental

Hello there! Thank  you so much for visiting our blog today.

Elina Strömberg is here with some gorgeous inspiration for this month’s Facebook group challenge which is all about words…

Hi,

Today I’m sharing with you two cards I made using two lovely quote stamps by Visible Image:

I wanted the quote to be the main focus of the card, so I kept the other embellishments to minimum.

For the background I used soft pink liquid watercolor that I applied in several layers, drying each layer with my heat gun before applying the next layer of water and/or colour.

Once the background was ready I stamped the quote. The ‘Smile Sparkle Shine’ text I created some highlights with an embossing pen, added gold embossing powder, and heat set the powder with my heat gun.

Usually I decorate the watercoloured background with some pattern stamping, but this time I wanted to add more golden shimmer. I sprinkled a bit of the same embossing powder around the stamped quote, and heat set the powder by heating it from underneath. Blowing it from top would have blown the powder away as it was loose on the paper.

The only decoration element was a simple die-cut frame I covered with embroidery yarn. Wrapping the yarn around the paper frame took a while, but I just love the end result! Once the entire frame was covered I glued the frame on the card front.

These cards were really simple and fun to make. Hope they inspire you, too!

Hello! Thank you for coming to check out today’s inspiration here on the blog.

Veerle Moreels has combined 3 stamp sets from our February release to create an incredible tag…

I’m sorry, I couldn’t help myself… I just had to go and make those beautiful eyes of the Face it stamps black…

And I liked what I saw ^.^   So I wanted some words to match and I went for these from the set Destination Unknown.

Perfect match for me…

So what will you do…stay on the nice side of the line or will you cross and join me on the black side?

The Battles We Have Won

Hello there! We hope you have had a good start to the week.

We have so much gorgeous inspiration coming your way here on the blog, kicking off with a fantastic card by Pauline Butcher…

Helloooo my lovely Crafty friends,

It’s my turn to share a little something I’ve created using some awesome Visible Image Stamps.

Visible Image have a new themed challenge and the theme for May is ‘Express Yourself’.

I have made some inspiration using one of the fantastic sentiments

Scars

So get yourself inky, and enter the Challenge for a chance to win a £40 voucher
to spend on some superb Visible Image stamps!

Other stamps I’ve used on this card are…

The large cracked stamp from Create it

the inky script from Scripted Streets

The background was created using some acrylic paints, I then randomly stamped the Script using Oxide ink,
and heat embossed it using Clear Embossing Powder. Again I randomly stamped the cracks, using Versamark,
and heat embossed them with Orange Embossing Powder

I stamped the sentiment onto some blue card, again using Versamark,
and heat embossed in Black, and used a white pen to highlight the letters.

Hugs, Pauline xxxx

Fantastic card… amazing background! Thank you Pauline ♡

Laugh a little louder

Hello! We are back with some absolutely gorgeous inspiration for you this evening.

First up today is Elina Strömberg with 3 stunning cards…

Hi and Happy Thursday!

This month Visible Image started a new series of monthly challenges in their Facebook group. Playing along is easy; get inspired by the monthly theme, take out your Visible Image stamps and start creating! Upload your project to the May challenge album, and you might be the lucky winner of a £40 gift card in Visible Image online store! How cool is that!

May theme is ‘Express Yourself’

My take on the May challenge is a set of three cards:

For all these three cards I used my favourite quote stamp, ‘Laugh Louder’.
The basic design is somewhat similar on these cards, but I used the same stamp in 3 different ways.

On this first card I stamped the quote with black ink on a red Distress Paint coloured background. The lovely red texture did not require too many other elements to be added, so I just placed two die-cut flower stems on the sides.

On the second card the quote is stamped with two inks. I did not use any masking, but applied the ink on each word using a small ink pad (Tsukineko Memento Dew Drops). There’s just enough distance between the words so you can ink each line separately without mixing the colours.

The third card is a small ATC. I wanted to use only the last two lines of the quote, so I masked the above lines with a post-it note before stamping. The background is a leftover piece from my first card.

I hope you get inspired to play along. Many of the Visible Image quotes are just perfect for this month’s theme, and I guess the most difficult part will be the choosing between your favourites!

In Bold Colour

Hi there! We are back as promised with gorgeous inspiration from Teresa Morgan this evening…

This week I have another of the cards I created for the Create and Craft sellout show.

This one uses the beautiful Visometry set along with a really cool sentiment.

My background was created using some soft pastel colours of Distress Oxides,
I then stamped the Visometry stamp with Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder.

I love how you can align these stamps to join them together and stamp larger designs.

The sentiment is embossed with a deep pink embossing powder which is transparent,
allowing the colours underneath to affect the tones – it’s a nice effect which works well with these words.

Thanks to all of you who tuned in to watch the show and make it the massive success that it was.

Don’t forget to check out the links below – from next month we will be adding a themed challenge
to the Facebook group as well as our regular Show and Tell!

Stamps Used:

What a stunning card, love the pastels of the oxides with that white embossing ♡  Thanks Teresa!

Stay Strong

Hello there! Thank you for visiting our blog today!

Nicky Gilburt is here with a gorgeous card created for our Create and Craft TV show on Saturday, and wow what a show that was! More on that soon!

Over to Nicky…

My card share this week is a simple affair, as the words need little to distract from them. If you saw Visible Image’s show on Create and Craft on Saturday 22nd April you will have seen an amazing array of quotes and inspirational words, and these are just some of those.

The background from this card is simple two colours of distress ink applied with a blending tool onto card. I liked the deliberate contrast of the colours, but I was very pleased with the depth achieved by keeping a bit of light space around the blue.

For the background stamping I used the fascinating Visometry set, which I must say intrigues me, and I will use this again, I love it!

I stamped my key text in brown for a change, just to soften the effect rather than using harsh black, for once, and I stamped various shapes from the Visometry set in blue and brown, to complement the background colours.

Stamps Used:

There are so many inspirational, motivational and comforting quotes to play with at Visible Image, you’ll find them all HERE!

Happy Crafting

Visometry!

Hi there! Thank you for visiting our blog today!

We are counting down to our Create and Craft TV show this Saturday… Mark is busy prepping his demos so I thought I would have a bit of creative ‘time out’ yesterday too.

We have our awesome Visometry set on the show, so I wanted to have a play and show you how cool these stamps are! You might remember playing with a spirograph as a child? I adore these stamps, there is just so much you can do with them!

I love how they look embossed in white, so this is how I started my card..

Next I used some diluted peacock feathers distress ink and ‘smooshed’
my card into it, then dried off with my heat tool

I repeated the technique using picked raspberry.. still one of my favourite colours!

I continued to add more of each colour until I was happy with my background.

I then put my card inside our splatter box (a large black box we use to protect our lovely studio from paint!!!)
and flicked some diluted white dylusions paint at it…

Loving it so far…

Now to decide which words to use!

Mark spends so long designing our quotes and sentiments, hours and hours choosing the right font
before he starts on the layout. Of course you can cut most of them up too for a different look, and this is what I
decided to do with our Never Give Up quote..

I love these words, so inspiring!

I played around with the words, deciding where I wanted them..

Then adhered them with foam pads to raise them off the card a little..

So here is my finished card..

I’m really happy with how it turned out! I think the Visometry stamps work perfectly with the words
and I’m sure it would brighten anyone’s day!

Hope you like it too!

I wanted to show you how cool the stamps look embossed in black too..

I used some zesty spring colours to offset the black, and added some words..

I find it quite easy to ink up the part of the sentiment you want to use, and then carefully wipe away
any ink you got on surrounding letters with a baby wipe before stamping!

Of course this stamp looks gorgeous when you stamp it all, and they are the perfect words for anyone
going through a tough time.

Again I added some splatters of black paint to finish it off..

Thanks so much for visiting our blog today.

You will find lots more projects featuring our Visometry stamps HERE!
They make awesome funky flowers 🙂

Life Is Tough

Hi there! We hope you are enjoying all the wonderful inspiration we are sharing here on the blog today.

Jane Tyrrell is here with a beautiful sample made for our Create and Craft TV show this Saturday…

Hello and I hope you all enjoyed a peaceful Easter day and are enjoying the bank holiday.

We certainly did and it was so good to catch up with our family. Time to sit, relax and chat is so important.

Today I am sharing my Monday Design Team inspiration for Visible Image.

Mark will be appearing on Create and Craft TV this Saturday 22 April. The show is on at 10am (GMT) on Sky 674,Virgin 748 or Freeview 23 or you can watch it via the Create and Craft website here. I have set up my recorder in case I’m not around at 10am and will look forward to spotting my cards on TV!

My teamies and I have been busy making samples for the show and my card today is one of my samples using the Life can be Tough word stamp together with the tree and leaves from the Create it set. These are 2 of the stamp sets which will be on the show.

Create it!

Life Can Be Tough

I made a background using Distress Oxides. I am having so much fun with these inks.

Every single background is so unique and a perfect background for Visible Image stamps.

I cut this down to make a 5 3/4″ by 5 3/4″ card background.

I stamped and embossed the words and then added the little tree and leaves.

I kept my card very CAS as I really think the background and sentiment says it all.

I used this same sentiment a few weeks ago for a sympathy card for a friend of ours and it was very appreciated.
However I also think that it works well for a card just to tell someone that you are thinking of them.
I know lots of people that are having a really hard time at the moment but through their strength of character
I know they will get through. If you are also one of those people then this card is for you…

Thanks so much for visiting me here today, and enjoy the week ahead.

Back soon.
Bye for now,
Jane x

This is such a gorgeous card, and these words definitely mean so much to so many people right now. Thank you Jane ♡

Choose Bold Colour

Hello and thank you so much for visiting our blog today!

We are sharing some of the amazing samples our wonderful Design Team have been creating
for our Create and Craft TV show this coming Saturday.. and wow have they created some beauties ♡

Veerle Moreels always interprets our words so wonderfully and today’s card is no exception…

When I first saw the stamp I’m using today I thought… this one doesn’t really apply on me, I’m all about muted colors, not really bold colors.

But I do have bold colored ink pads at home. So why not take them out again and use them?

And you might think… yes but why buy a stamp you will only use once and then never again?  Here’s why…

This stamp has a part that without a doubt I’ll use a lot.  Choose to see…
Don’t ever let yourself be guided by the first look… choose to see beyond.

Stamp Used:

Bold Colour

Trying To Find Some Colour

Hello! We are back with another awesome sample created for our Create and Craft TV show this Saturday!

Pauline Butcher has teamed up stamps from our ‘Shining Bright’ set with one of our brilliant quotes…

Hello friends,

I hope you are having a relaxing and happy Easter weekend, and hopefully you’ll get a little time to play with your crafty stash !!!

I have another of my creations to share with you today, using some superb Visible Image Stamps……. and it’s got pink in it too !!!!

The stamps I used on this card were…

This 6″ x 6″ card, was very simple to create. I stamped the smaller light bulb three times onto Black cardstock,
using a Versamark pad, and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder.

On a separate piece of card, using the sentiment stamp, I repeated the process.

With a white pigment pen, I put the highlights into the bulbs, and using Pink and yellow Stickles,
I coloured in the middle light bulb, and added Pink Stickles to ‘Colour’ in the sentiment.

Thank you for dropping in.
Hugs, Pauline xxxxx

Get Up and Dress Up!

Hello and thank you so much for coming to visit our blog today!

Nicky Gilburt is here with 3 gorgeous cards using 1 fabulous sentiment stamp…

It’s all about the words this weekend – and how to frame them.

Another inspiring and fun quote from Visible Image, it pretty much speaks for itself!

But here are three different ways I’ve set them out.

1. Distress inks and stencils

I have mixed purples and blues in different ways, smooshed them around with water, left them to dry and then added stencils to create a bit of interest, Once completely dry ( use a heat gun to be sure!) I rubbed an anti-static bag over the area then stamped with Versamark, and applied white embossing powder and melted it with a heat gun. The stars come from the very popular Born to Perform set.

2. Distress crayons

I slightly dampened my base card before applying distress crayon and rubbing with my finger. A bit of text, heat embossed with black powder, and a few flowers from the Create It!set, not forgetting a couple of sequins to finish!

3. Aqua Flow markers

I totally love these pens. They are the Tonic Studios Nuvo brand, and here I have laid down thick swathes of colour, allowed to dry and stamped the text over it. Again, heat embossing in white makes the words really stand out!

A simple border round the edge with a fine-liner pen makes for a funky finish

There are so many inspirational, motivational and comforting quotes to play at Visible Image!

Happy Crafting

Nicky x

Life Can Be Tough

Hi there, we hope you are having a lovely weekend.

Jane is here on the blog sharing another beautiful card…

It is my turn to share some inspiration for Visible Image.

A very dear friend died very suddenly a couple of weeks ago, and to say we were shocked was an understatement.

He is only a few years older than us and the news really did stop us in our tracks. I am very much a glass half full
kind of girl and I wanted to make something appropriate, without being too morose.

I decided to use one of the new sentiments that Visible Image brought out in their latest release.

It’s just perfect isn’t it?

I also used the little flower accent stamps from the Create it set

I also had a play with the amazing new Oxide inks….they are such fun.

Here are a few process photos;

I also added Cracked Pistachio into the process.

Once I had a foundation of ink on my card I added some stenciling…

and built up layers of ink, adding water into the process too.

I wanted to keep my sentiment really simple so I added drew a  border around the edge using a Micron Pen.
It’s been ages since I have had time to draw one of these borders….very much my dear friend Joanne Fink’s inspiration.

I also added some script from the fab Scripted Streets set using some archival ink

It added just enough pattern to my card to pull everything together.

You can see one of my stamped flowers peeping out too…
I coloured it with gel pens and added some white highlights.

Here is my finished card.

I added some shine to the border with a gel pen.

You can see in the background that I also stamped my flowers using the Oxide inks.
Together with the script stamp it gives a very layered textured background.

Here is one more shot..

Thanks so much for stopping by today. We should all try to live life for the moment.
Remember to tell those you hold close how much you love them, every single day.

Life can be tough……but my darling so are you.

Jane x

Black and White World

Hello there! Firstly we have to apologise for neglecting our blog, and you, for the last few weeks! To say it has been busy would be an understatement.. there have just not been enough hours in the day and we have of course had to focus our time on the orders. We are really sorry that we haven’t shared the amazing inspiration our incredible Design Team have been creating.. but hopefully if you follow us on social media you will have seen some of their fabulous projects over the past few weeks.

So, we are having a HUGE catch up here on the blog (as promised a few weeks ago!)

We have so many awesome quotes and sentiments, not only in our sets but as single stamps too, and we added some superb new quotes to this collection last month, which we aptly call ‘Express Yourself‘.. it includes quotes about creativity and colour, and heartfelt sentiments that can mean the world to someone going through a tough time. We know you will want and need many of them, and of course the fonts and designs by Mark are stunning!

Today we are sharing an absolutely gorgeous card that Dot Leathbridge has created  with one of our NEW quotes…

Black and White World is so much fun to play with!

I’ve teamed the words up with some flowers from the ‘Create It’ set.

This set has 11 pieces in it which can be used as extras on any card that you make.
These flowers are fast becoming a favourite of mine… no doubt you will see them being used more and more!
Especially as they have 3 different sizes on the stamp set.

Some of the words were embossed in black, and some in white. The middle section was embossed with white
so it was easy to just colour with alcohol markers to make the word ‘pop’ that little bit more.
Embossing powder when heat set is shiny – so it is easy to colour with anything with an alcohol base.

Stamp sets used are:

Black and White World

Thank you Dot, we adore this card ♡ The interpretation of the quote is perfect!

You will find more of Dot’s stunning cards and projects over on her blog.
Dot’s online store Ink Art Designs in Australia is a stockist of our stamps too! ♡

Coming up next is a fabulous card by Teresa Morgan.

Stay tuned!

Love you – Visible Image

Hi there! Thank you so much for visiting our blog today.

We have a stunning card to share with you today, which also has a brilliant video tutorial, created by Veerle Moreels…

It’s my turn to share a project here at Visible Image and would like to share some Inktense Visble image love ^.^  I loved combining the Visible Image stamps together this way. And I tried out the inktense colorpencils for the very first time on this card.

Curious on how I brought the 3 stamps together and how I used the pencils? I have put it all in this liddle video tutorial for you…

I’m pretty sure you will see more cards like these show up.  Maybe even recognize part of it in my Christmas cards ( I really have to get started I know 👀 ) But for now it’s this one…as we can never say “I love you” enough.

Love of Books – Visible Image

Hello there! Thanks for coming to visit us!

Elina is here on the blog today with some fabulous inspiration…

Books are the best travel companions. Whenever sitting on the plain or train I like to take out my book and start reading. Very often I soon realize that I have not taken a bookmark with me. Or if there already is a bookmark between the pages it’s often a piece of scrap paper, an old receipt or a worn-out ticket. I have hundreds of books, but only a handful of bookmarks. This needed to change.

A good bookmark is not too small nor too large and most importantly not too thick. Stamping and die-cutting are perfect techniques for embellishing a bookmark as you can build interesting layers and yet keep the project thin. For stamping and colouring I recommend to use media that will be permanent and not mess up your book. You don’t want to colour the pages of your book with the bookmark!

I definetely needed more than one bookmark, so I made two on the same go:

visible-image-stamps-laugh-louder-bookmarks-elina-stromberg

The base of my project was a size 8 manila tag. First I stamped and heat embossed the lovely quote text on the tag, and then coloured both tags with Distress stains. The white embossed text resisted the water-soluable colour, and once the tag was dry I gently wiped off the excess colour from the text with a baby wipe. The colour was not applied direcly on the tag, but dabbed on my craft mat, misted with water and then picked up with the tag. Love that result- you can not fully control the flow of colours which makes the technique so fun!

I trimmed few millimeters off from each side and glued the tag on a die-cut white size 8 tag, and finished the project with embellishing the tags with white die-cut leafs (small leafs are from Sizzix).

This simple tag would make a perfect Christmas gift for a far-away friend as you can easily mail it inside a standard size envelope. I think I need to make a few bookmarks more…

Smile Sparkle Shine – Winter Mannequin

Hello and thank you for coming to visit us here on the Visible Image blog today.

We will pass you straight over to Teresa who has a very warm welcome for you…

Welcome back to a new year of Visible Image inspiration!! I can’t wait to share new stamps and projects with you all – 2016 is going to be full of exciting new designs and products. Today I am sharing a mixed media piece that I made for the January issue of Craft Stamper magazine

Visible Image stamps - Mannequin - Mixed Media - Teresa Morgan

I used a paper mache torso mounted on a wooden spool and coaster for the base. A couple of coats of gesso prepared them for decorating. I used DecoArt modelling paste and a burlap stencil to add texture to areas of the torso. DecoArt Crackle paint and antiquing cream was applied to the stand.

I used the Universal set of stamps to add pattern to the torso, embossing with WOW embossing powder in white, pink and silver. Blue mica spray added extra colour.

The sentiment is stamped and embossed onto tissue paper before being glued in place with Mod Podge. I added silver Stickles and blue gilding wax for extra sparkle and shine. Some pretty floral trim adds the final decorative touch.

Sparkle in Pink – Visible Image Stamps

Good Evening! Thank you for visiting our blog 🙂

We are back to our PINK theme this evening and we have a sparkly pink number from Kim Robertson to share with you!

Over to Kim…

Hi my fellow Crafters

This week sees the start of The Big Pink week all around the country in aid of the amazing Breast Cancer awareness campaigns all over the world. The Visible Image team have been no exception and have been creating some gorgeous pink cards and projects all week, with more to come! Culminating in a fabulous blog hop on Friday with a masssssssive prize (sneaky picture at the end of this post) to win from Mark and Helen at Visible Image and what a fun hop it will be too…. all will be revealed on Friday!

Today here is my Vision of pink sparkliness …

2015-10-14 Visible Image stamps - Smile Sparkle Shine - Kim Robertson

You know how much I love the Colours of the Wind set, and that beautiful big leaf, so I decided to use a couple of different distress inks in of course ‘pink’ tones, and do a background covered in sparkle with the Smile Sparkle Shine sentiment stamped onto the glitter, and brushed out using a damp paint brush.

Here are some photos from along the way creating this one.

I didn’t do a step by step for this stage as I have done something similar very recently with this stamp set, and how I ink and stamp tone on tone.  I have also stamped out the little leaves in Versamark and embossed them in clear to start, so they work as a resist in the usual way. The larger leaf was of course stamped off the page and I used Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar distress inks along with a tiny amount of Vintage Photo. I have also used some Raisin Adirondack ink too to add depth in the leaf detailing and, as I knew I wanted to cover this in glitter, some of the leaves would need to be quite dark to show through.

I covered the pink in a sticky sheet and made sure it was very smooth before tipping on some very sparkly clear glitter, I added a few mat and layers in white and plum card, I then went back in with the white glue and added another layer on certain parts of the leaves, so I could added some glass glitter for texture on the card too.

In this photo the white glue is still drying and eventually the whole thing turned clear with incredible sparkle, but of course it never shows on camera. Those of you who met me this year at Ally Pally and did the Make and Take, or have seen my items on the amazing Visible Image stand at the shows, will know just how sparkly they are in person.

Here is a close up of the glue drying with the second layer of glitter, you can just keep building the layers if you want a really rustic texture.

So next I inked up my Smile Sparkle Shine stamp with the same Raisin Adirondack which is still a water based ink, so I knew if it skipped in places I could water brush it out.

Luckily the image came out, even though on glitter, perfectly with these amazing quality stamps although of course the higher parts on the glitter looked like it had little dots, so I used my water brush and just smoothed out the colour then left it to dry.

Once it was dry I took a Red Promarker in a nice rich deep tone and added just a few shadows to some of the letters, to make them look bright and vivid in colour, and the alcohol covers the glitter but allows it to sparkle too which looks so pretty.

Here is what it looks like after that last stage.

On the bottom right corner I decided to add the little breast cancer symbol in ribbon, and on top I added a little pink leaf and a sparkly pink gem. I also added those gems to the corners of the card too.

The stamps used for this one…

Colours of the Wind

Over to Kim…

I simply adore the sentiment stamps that Visible Image design.

Really different and the fonts they use are completely awesome!!

They are perfect for that finishing touch to one of my famous Brusho backgrounds.

If a job came up for a Background Designer then I would be the first to apply!

So this one features the versatile swirl from the UNIVERSAL set.

I painted the background and then used bleach with the swirl stamp.

Once dry I then used clear embossing powder to add some shine.

The sentiment was stamped onto a piece of the same painted card before the addition of the clear embossed swirls.

Love Yourself – Visible Image Stamps

Good Evening! Hope you have had a great weekend.

Kim Johnny is here with some more fantastic mail art created (of course) with some of our awesome stamps!

Here’s Kim…

Hello!

Today I want to share a postcard for my weekly Visible Image creative make.

2015-09-13 Visible Image stamps - Inky Flower stamp - Love Yourself - Kim Johnny

The postcard is 4 inches by 6 inches and cut from Canson Mixed Media paper.  I picked my go to soothing colors of Distress Ink, Cracked Pistachio and Mermaid Lagoon. I added the happy bubbles with an ARTplorations stencil and DecoArt modeling paste.

The word art sentiment Love Yourself is part of the No Regrets set. I heat embossed all the stamps in white EP, Ranger Superfine

I think Flower INKognito is my most favorite Visible Image stamp…it is so fun to use in so many ways. I hope someday there would be a smaller version and some cousins for this beauty 🙂

I adore the stem is a separate piece from the flower. The stem works great for any grungy touch needed 🙂 It is a fantastic set.

Good Afternoon! We are back with more gorgeous inspiration for you this afternoon.

Well it is Saturday again!

I am back  with some inspiration using the gorgeous Visible Image stamps.

My image “Butterfly INKognito” has been stamped using distress inks onto some white card. I then stamped the ”Bronte Script to add some dimension.

The sentiment, from the ”Sunshine Set, was next to be stamped before splattering some distress ink all over the card and inking the edge.

Chalkboard Love – Visible Image stamps

Hello there 🙂 Thanks for coming to visit our blog today!

Double inspiration for you today with the latest projects from Susanne Rose and Doreen OBrien.

First up today, here’s Susanne…

Hi everyone!

It’s my day today to share some inspiration with the super unique Visible Image Stamps. I used the awesome “You Are Loved” sentiment to create a chalkboard card.

I used the DCWV DIY Project Stack Chalk Party. The black paper is perfect for stamping with white pigment ink. This is a really quick card. The base layer is embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder. I sanded the paper so you can see the white core on the embossed parts. I adhered every layer with 3d foam pads to get some dimension.

More Awesome Inspiration @ Visible Image

Hi There! We are back as promised with more awesome inspiration for you from our wonderful team..

Susanne Rose has created some fabulous postcards…

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - mixed media postcards - Susanne Rose 2

It’s my day today to share some inspiration with the super unique Visible Image Stamps. I made two mixed media postcards using Neoccolor II pencils and gesso for the background. I used the script stamp from the Revolution set to add some texture. The doodling is made with acrylic markers as well as uniPOSCA markers. It’s always good to have some postcards ready to go! I am a big fan of the Visible Image expression stamps. They are perfect for cards and also for art journalling and they are so true!

Stamps used:

Revolution
Take The Moment
Never Give Up

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - mixed media postcards - Susanne Rose

Doreen OBrien has created a wonderful Christmas card with lots of different elements…

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Snowflakes & Butterflies verse - Doreen OBrien

I am back with some more inspiration using the gorgeous Visible Image stamps. I am sharing another  Christmas card using the fabulous “Snowflakes and Butterflies” verse

I have simply stamped this onto some cream card, inked around the edge and attached it to some Frayed Burlap, this was then attached to some red card and my base card. I finished off with a Diecut Fir Tree.

And here’s a fabulous Christmas card from Karen Liddle…

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - White Christmas - Snowflakes - Karen Liddle

I used Distress Inks for the background, blended with sponges.  Colours used are Dusty Concord, Mustard Seed and Picked Raspberry.  I also splashed drops of water over the ink and dabbed off, this removes the colour and creates white spots, love doing this.

Stamps used:
Bronte Script and White Christmas

Now for a very funky tag from Kim Johnny…

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Imagine - Tag - Kim Johnny 2

Visible Image very recently released some wonderful Holiday stamps and I am feeling lucky to have received some to play with 🙂 I am not quite ready for the Holiday Season, so I have an alternate use for the beautiful
Sparkle at Christmas set.

I used the bigger sparkle from the Sparkle at Christmas set to frame the “Imagine” focal point badge. Imagine is from the Imagine Dream & Inspire set. Love the sparkle set it is so flexible and can be used so many ways! The stamping and embossing are wonderful as well, makes playtime a breeze! The top of the tag is capped with the Retro Dots Background stamp.

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Imagine - Tag - Kim Johnny

I included and extra photo here to show more of the embossing, I am sooooo hooked on embossing. It adds such a fun and perfect touch. This is also the first time I have used some Lindy’s Stamp Gang embossing powder in Razzleberry Plum. Change the angle and the color of the EP changes too. Awesomeness! Now I need more, many more, colors of Lindy’s 🙂 I had to add some juicy fun dots from the Plasma set in Razzleberry Plum around the edges.

Kim Bacon was also feeling funky this week! With awesome results…

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Rockin Around - Christmas Tree - Kim Bacon

Today I have decided to do something a little ‘shocking’ in that I have used some funky colours with jet black shiny embossing powder. Not the usual Christmas colours I know but that is where my crafting session took me!

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Rockin Around - Christmas Tree - Kim Bacon 1

I went with the usual thing, make a lot of background papers using Brusho paints and stamped directly onto them with black embossing powder.

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Rockin Around - Christmas Tree - Kim Bacon 2

Matting and layering with red card and adding a few brads finish the projects off.
Stamps used:
Rockin’ Around
Grunge Polka Dot

Lisa Nygards has a brilliant masculine card for us this week…

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Jazz It Up - Lisa Nygards 2

No Christmas cards from me today. I’ve tried to do a more masculine card, even though I’ve used flowers and dolies. *smile* I have used the character from Jazz it Up and the sentense from Thank You set

I stamped the images on a page from an old German book (have no idea what it says), and mounted that on cardstock panels since it’s a bit flimsy as is.

If you love sparkle then you will love Kim Robertson’s card…

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Dreaming of a white Christmas - Kim Robertson 2

I love cards like this that have a hand made background using gorgeous stamps and then all the accessories match and make you think the words are perfect which of course they definitely are. I used Momento Grey Flannel Ink and the White Christmas snowflake from the stamp set. I also used Vintage sparkle glitter for this one as I just loved the different colours in it, pinks and greens and white but all very very sparkly and pretty.

We will share Kim’s brilliant tutorial for this card over the next few days!

Teresa Morgan has created 2 completely different, and very fabulous cards using the same Christmas sentiment…

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Grunge Flourish - Merry Christmas - Teresa Morgan

I love using kraft card at Christmas – it reminds me of gingerbread! I have paired the Merry Christmas stamp with the gorgeous Grunge Flourish for this first card. Both are stamped with Versamark, and embossed with WOW powders in red and white.

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Grunge Polka Dot - Merry Christmas - Teresa Morgan

My second card is less traditional. I used the Grunge Polkadot background with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink and used black embossing powder on the sentiment stamp.

Stamps Used:

Merry Christmas XL
Grunge Flourish
Grunge Polka Dot

Pauline Butcher also shows how non traditional colours work gorgeously with our NEW Christmas stamps…

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Sparkle At Christmas - Pauline Butcher

The stamp set on the first card is called Sparkle at Christmas

It’s right up my street, as you all know I do love a bit of bling !!!!!

Please excuse my photo, I couldn’t seem get a good image for some reason, anyway……. I started off with a shaving foam and Dylusion background, this was a second print, so it was nice a pale. I used the small burst stamp with versamark, and glitter embossing powders in various colours, then added the large burst and the sentiment in a bright blue glitter embossing powder. I decided this wasn’t enough, so I heat embossed them again onto some heat resistant acetate, fussy cut them, then attached them with glue gel. Out came my Stickles for some extra sparkle !!!!

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Merry Little Christmas - Pauline Butcher

On my second card, the stamps I used are Merry Little Christmas set, and the small flourish from Revolution.

I made the background with Dylusion Ink sprays, then using the small flourish from the Revolution set, I stamped over it using just water, and flicked some for good measure, lol !!!! I stamped the tree and the sentiment using Black ink, then stamped the tree again in blue. Once dry, I stamped the tree and sentiment again using Versamark, but slightly to the left, to give a shadow effect, then heat embossed in a white glitter embossing powder. Again I decided this was not enough, so I used some dries white glue over the main tree and the word Christmas, with some dry glitter sprinkled over it.

Susanne Rose mixes and older Christmas stamp design with NEW to create an absolute stunner…

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Poinsettia stamp - Believe in the Magic of Christmas - Susanne Rose

Again I have a Christmas card for you today. I can’t stop creating Christmas themed projects, but the new Visible Image Stamps are so awesome!

My background is colored with Neocolor II watercolor crayons and the lovely snowflake from the White Christmas stamp set. I stamped it with Memento Luxe matching the background color. The sentiment is stamped with Memento Luxe as well and embossed with clear embossing powder. I cut it with the Silhouette Cameo and the Pix Scan Mat.

I love the Poinsettia!!! I fuzzy cut each stamped flower and build up some 3d poinsettias. The leaves die cut in the background are from Cottage Cutz.

Happy Christmas crafting!

Doreen OBrien has 2 more gorgeous cards to share…

2015-08-30 Visible Image stamps - Just The Way You Are - Doreen OBrien

For this card I first made a background using Distress inks then for a bit of dimension added a couple of background stamps.. Grunge Harlequin  and Bronte Script. Last of all I stamped the Sentiment from the Sunshine Set.

2015-08-30 Visible Image stamps - Merry Christmas - Winter Tree - Doreen OBrien

And for this Christmas card my background has been made with PanPastels while masking off a moon. The Winter Tree and Merry Christmas sentiment have both been clear embossed with Black Versafine ink, and I finished off using some acrylic paint for my snow.

Karen Liddle was in the green zone this week! Gold on green is stunning…

2015-08-30 Visible Image stamps - Imperfection is Beauty - Inky Flower stamp - Karen Liddle

I used Aquatints to colour the background, just one colour brushed over wet water colour card.  I did a couple of brushes across either side, leaving the middle pretty clear, the inks blended nicely in the middle.  I used a stencil for the tiny dots then used Ink Splats stamps around the edges, heat embossed the Flower Inkognito and the  Imperfection is Beauty sentiment stamp.

2015-08-30 Visible Image stamps - White Christmas sentiment - snowflake stamp - Karen Liddle

I made my own stencil for this one, just a square nestie cut through mylar.  I then inked through it with Diestress Ink, and stamped the snowflakes in the same colour.  I heat embossed the sentiment.  Only one stamp set was used which was White Christmas.

And we finish off today’s post with another fabulous funky little number from Kim Johnny…

2015-08-30 Visible Image stamps - Smile Sparkle Shine - Kim Johnny 2

I wanted to share a small project I made using my Visible Image Stamps. Lately I have been having fun making half-page canvas pieces. I love the torn edges that remain when removing it from the spiral book!

The paper is Canson Mixed Media. The flowers are Tim Holtz Tattered Floral die cuts, colored with Derwent Inktense color blocks. The scribbles are made with UniBall Signo pens.

2015-08-30 Visible Image stamps - Smile Sparkle Shine - Kim Johnny 3

I used one of my favorite sentiments, Smile Sparkle Shine from the Express Yourself range for the focal point. I added Grunge Harlequin and Retro Dots background stamps for small touches as well, stamped with Stazon Black.

Woweee! How awesome was all that?! Thank you so much ladies!

Sparkly Lips Canvas – Visible Image Stamps

Good Morning and Happy Saturday to you!

Sorry we missed yesterday’s post but it was a crazy busy day! We didn’t manage to get everything finished as planned, so today will now be our last day in work before we wind down and get into ‘Wedding mode’ !!! Getting very excited now… just 6 days to go before the big day ♥ ♥ ♥

So here on the blog today we have triple inspiration for you from Pauline, Susanne and Doreen.

First up, here’s Pauline with her latest Visible Image stamps project…

Hi there,

It’s me, back again, spreading some Visible Image love, superb deeply etched photo-polymer uniquely designed Stamps, which I love to use, can you tell.. lol !!!

2015-08-01 Visible Image stamps - Smile Sparkle Shine - Mixed Media Canvas - Grungy Lips stamp - Pauline Butcher

The very unique stamps I’ve used for this project are……
The lips from Bite meSmile, Sparkle, ShineRipped FishnetInk Splats, and the straight stamp from Edgy.

This week, just for a change, I’ve used a 5″ x 7″ canvas, which I primed with 2 coats of white Gesso. Whilst that was drying, I stamped my main images, the lips and the sentiment, onto some heat resistant acetate, using versamark, and heat embossed them with some pink sparkle embossing powder and fussy cut.

Right, back to the canvas, I added some grunge paste through a stencil, and dried with my heat tool.

I spritzed it all with water, and sprinkled Brusho paints onto it, spritzed with water again, and then let it all drip down. I also mixed some red Brusho with water, and let that drip down too.

Using some gold paint on the Ripped Fishnet and Edgy stamps, I stamped randomly over the canvas. I found an old jar of white ink in one of my drawers, which had gone very thick, but it was perfect for the white drips and circles !!! I edged the canvas with gilding flake, then glued the lips and sentiment into place, and lastly added Stickles for more sparkle.

Mixed Media Postcard – Visible Image stamps

Hello 🙂 We are back with more awesome inspiration for you this evening.

Kim J has been getting inky and the results are fantastic…

Hello!

Today is my day to share some Visible Image fun 🙂

I have a mixed media postcard today. I am having so much fun with mail art! Hope you like it!

This is  the front side of the card. I started with some plain white mixed media paper. I cut a bunch of pieces to 4 inches by 6 inches.

Then I made puddles of Americana Multi Surface Satin paints on my craft mat, spritzed with water and smooshed the paper into the paints. Lots of painty play. The nicest thing, once the paint is dry, it is very easy to stamp onto the background.

The front side uses the awesome Vision INKognito and sentiment Love Yourself from the No Regrets set. Both are heat embossed with Distress Ink and Ranger Superfine powder.

2015-07-28 Visible Image stamps - Mixed Media Postcard - Grungy Eye stamp - Love yourself - Kim J

I dry embossed the chicken wire pattern on the side of the front of the card. Then layered some clear embossing powder and Jet Black Archival ink. This makes is so wonderful to feel and added some POP and shine 🙂

2015-07-28 Visible Image stamps - Mixed Media Postcard 3 - Kim J

This is the backside of the postcard. For the text and address divider I used the stem from Flower INKognito.  The amazing splats are found in the Ink Splats set. All are stamped with Distress Ink and heat embossed with Ranger Super fine, black powder.

2015-07-28 Visible Image stamps - Mixed Media Postcard 4 - Kim J

I added some fine paintbrush spatters with Black DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylic paint. More spatters the better in my mind anyways!

I glued the front and back together with Americana Decou-page Paper collage medium. It dries quickly and non-tacky.

Once done I inked all the edges and my fingers with Jet Black Archival ink.

So are you ready to play and get inky??

Words To Live By – Visible Image Stamps

Good Evening! Hope you have had a good start to the new week.

Kicking off another week of amazing Design Team inspiration, here’s Kim Bacon…

Oh what a glorious weekend it has been! Sun, sea and sand by the bucket load, thank you Mr Weather!

Today I am showcasing a collection of cards I made using only Visible Image stamps. I wanted to make a group of cards suitable to be given as a gift set and so I set about making several background papers first.

In my palette there was a lot of blue/green/purple Brusho paint which needed using up. I looked in my envelope drawer and found some blue envelopes which were the right size for my plans.

I don’t often use white embossing powder but with the intense colour of the background paper I ended up with it seemed the perfect one to use.

Listen to your HEART - Visible Image stamps - Kim Bacon

For those that know how good Visible Image stamps are I don’t need to tell you how deeply etched they are, how perfectly they stamp every time and just what fab designs there are!

For those of you who are new to Visible Image, er, just re-read the above!

Love yourself - Visible Image stamps - Kim Bacon

As I said, I started by  making the background papers. I had great fun smooshing colour over some good quality white card stock. I use Brusho powder as a wet paint and just leave it to dry.

Trust Your Instincts - Visible Image stamps - Kim Bacon

Next I used a dark blue ink to add the circles from the Universal set all over but not overlapping. Once this was completely dry I started adding the white embossed dotty-circles, again from the Universal set and also the larger one from the Plasma set.

Just Be Happy - Visible Image stamps - Kim Bacon

The sentiments, which are from the Express Yourself range, were stamped onto card with none of the extra stamping on. It allows the words to stand while still being a perfect colour match.

Visible Image stamps - Inspirational quotes - scribbled circles - Kim Bacon

All the elements were cut and mounted onto white card before being added to the blue card bases. The sentiment pieces were mounted using a dimensional glue to raise them from the page.

I know this is a stamp heavy project, but if you have these sets not only do you get great value for money, but you can also create a huge number of projects using different combinations of the stamps!

Smile Sparkle and Shine – Visible Image stamps

Hi there! As promised we are back with a fantastic tutorial from Kim Johnny who’s created a gorgeous canvas with our Smile Sparkle Shine sentiment this week…

Every Day needs to have some sparkle and shine 🙂

Today I am sharing the small canvas I made for my Visible Image Inspiration day! I hope you like it.

I am fortunate to have this fabulous stamp, “Smile Sparkle, Shine” to play with, thank you so much Helen & Mark! The stamp is a wonderful size and is so smooth, it makes stamping and embossing a dream!

My canvas is 5 inches by 7 inches, so you can see the stamp is a perfect size for it!

Smile Sparkle Shine - Canvas - Kim Johnny

I think my love for modelling paste and crackle paste shines through in this piece! The base flowers are made from an ARTplorations stencil, Bloom Factory applied with DecoArt modelling paste.

I got carried away with the next layers of DecoArt acrylics and crackle and did not do step by steps, sorry 🙂 !

The sentiment is stamped with Distress Embossing Ink and heat embossed in Recollections Copper. Love the shine it has! This embossing powder works really well with strong shapes.

I made the flowers and spritzed them with Distress Spray Stain, Antiqued Bronze. The diecuts are assorted Sizzix, Tonic Studios and Tim Holtz.

This photo shows all the DecoArt supplies used 🙂

Have a wonderful day! I hope you can make time this week to play and share in the Visible Image Facebook Group, love to see you there!

Wonderful Words – Visible Image Stamps

Good Evening… a very late post from us today! Let’s just say it’s been hectic here…

On to today’s inspiration. Lisa Nygards has been busy creating with our NEW Express Yourself stamps this week. The results are stunning..

Since colors are so fun to play with, I can’t stop with just one card. The new sentiments are so perfect for stamping on a colorful background. I’ve played with different kinds of mist colors, but not the regular way (misting). I’ve wet the paper (watercolor paper) and then dripped and wiggled the color around. Dripped some more color, dried it, dripped some water on it and more color and another round until I liked it. It can’t be wrong, let the colors guide you!

Then the best part, to find a sentiment that match up with what I’ve created. Now I have several lovely new ones from Visible Image to play with so it became three cards today!

The sentiments used: Lilac card: Take the moment. Brown/Blue card: A best friend. Green card:Stay Strong.

Visible Image stamps - Wake Up Awesome - Butterfly - Doreen OBrien

Loving this monochrome effect from Doreen!

And now for Karen’s latest card…

I used the ‘Bleeding Tissue’ technique for the centre of  this card..

.Visible Image stamps - Time - What Really Matters - Inky Bird - Ink Splats - Karen Liddle

I then over stamped with a stamp from the Ink Splats set, love these.  I used a couple of different sized tops, pressed into the ink pad, for the circles.  Finished off with a little bit of distressing round the edges.

The stamps used for this one are as follows –
What Really Matters

Fabulous card from Karen.. loving that background! Isn’t our inky bird awesome!

Art Journal Page – Visible Image stamps

Good Evening! Hope you had a great weekend and Monday has been gentle with you!

The rain is pouring here in South Wales today, but we are here to brighten up the day with some amazing inspiration from our wonderful team 🙂

First up it’s Susanne Rose who’s created a fabulous Art Journal page…

I love the new stamps of the Visible Image June Release. They are super modern and perfect for my passion: mixed media and art journaling!

Here you can see one page in my art journal:

Visible Image stamps - Smile Sparkle Shine - Susanne Rose

I used the Marabu mixed media spray inks for the background layer. I really like them, ’cause they are waterproof and I can work on top with my Neocolor II pastels or other watersolubal colors. I used the script stamp from the Revolution set from Visible Image to create more interest on the background.

Smile Sparkle Shine! This is one of the new awesome sentiment stamps from Visible Image. I stamped it onto tissue paper with jet black Archival Ink and embossed it immediately with clear embossing powder. The black will be much more saturated with the embossing on top. The sentiment was adhered with gel medium.

The hearts are cut out of a gelli printed deli paper. I use it to wipe of my brayer during a gelli printing session. I lay the deli paper on top of a stenicl and wipe the brayer off.  So I get nice and interesting texturse plus a clean brayer. Deli paper is perfect for collage. It’s thin but not as delicate as tissue paper. I adhere it with Gel Medium.

I also used some of the Ink Splats background stamps from Visible Image on top of the woman’s face.

Isn’t this amazing! Awesome drawing by Susanne and such a cool and funky background… LOVE it! <3

Hope is Everything – Visible Image stamps

Good Evening! Hope you’ve had a good start to the week.

We are kicking off another week of amazing inspiration with the very talented Kim Bacon…

Hello! And welcome to the start of another week!!

As you know I am totally addicted to Brusho Paints, and the card for today is another example of what you can achieve.

I have used one of my favourite Visible Image stamps, the Gerbera from the INKognito range. I first created the background using turquoise and lime green paints before stamping the flower and the sentiment from the new Express Yourself range using white embossing powder.

Don’t Let Your Past Steal Your Future – Visible Image stamps

Good Morning! Hope you are enjoying this week’s inspiration from our awesome Design Team!

It’s Thursday which means it’s Teresa Morgan’s turn to share her latest project with you…

Here we are again for another dose of Thrilling Thursday inspiration – hope you have been enjoying the mini heatwave here in the UK….it’s far too hot for me at the moment but I do like to see a bit of sunshine as it lifts the spirit!!

This week I have decorated a pair of mini framed canvasses using some of the brilliant new word stamps from Visible image.

07-02-2015 Visible Image stamps - Don't Let Your Past Steal Your Future - Mixed Media - Inspirational Quotes - Teresa Morgan

I started by using some modelling paste through a circle mask in the corners to add some texture, then dripped washes of paint down the canvas once the paste was dry. I used some black paint through a chicken wire mask for a bit more detail, then got out my stamps.

Visible Image Stamps

I used black embossing powder on the words and circles (from the Universal set), and gold embossing powder on the Woman Inkognito. A bit of gilding wax on the stencilled circles added more shine! The frames are painted to create an antique brass efect which tied in with the ‘distressed industrial’ feel of this piece.

I love how this turned out and the words are perfect for anybody contemplating a new start in life….

Time To Be Happy – Visible Image stamps

Good Morning and thank you for coming to see us today 🙂

Can you believe we are half way through the week already? Time is just flying by! Not only are we busy making so many orders for our NEW releases, but we have also been busy finalising our Christmas 2015 stamps designs… and we know you are going to LOVE them 😉

On to today’s business… It’s Wednesday which means the fabulous Kim Robertson is here to inspire you!

Hello folks

How are you all? I hope everyone is doing ok and enjoying a little sunshine and warmth.

I have another card from the fab Visible Image’s new launch of stamps and I really hope you like it..

Visible Image stamps - Time To Be Happy - Kim Robertson

I went for the clean look again on this one. Well ish… for me anyway haha! But I love the spring out with the old, fresh start vibe to this one.

I started with a square of white card and black archival ink. I stamped the Bronte Border stamp several times in ascending order on the left side .

I then initially stamped my flower head and blotted a lot of the ink off the flower stamp and went around the edge of the flower head again using just the tips of the flower very pale just enough to cast this shadow effect.

The fabulous sentiment from the new launch , so crisp and clean  stamps like a dream some polymer stamps can be too squishy I know you know what I mean haha so that if you press too hard the image blurs and does not look clean anymore, never so with Visible Image. They are an absolutely spot on image.

So using the flower head still I used grey inks and black and the tips of the flower to create this 2nd and 3rd generation stamping border which has the impression of movement on the card.

For a little added interest on the left side I decided to take a small piece of the same white card and stamp the matching part of the border all over it, I mounted that onto a small piece of the same blue card with just a tiny border  I added a little white velvet bow and foam on the back to raise this piece up from the card but as I used the matching piece of the writing you can hardly tell it is there until you zoom in

Here again is the finished image, I was really pleased how this one turned out although is is pretty clean there is actually a lot of stamping gone into this and I just love these techniques…

Visible Image stamps - Time To Be Happy - Kim Robertson

The stamps I used on this one were…

Time To Be Happy

Bronte script

Thank you set

I hope you managed to see all the fabulous new sentiment and phrase stamps launched recently from Mark and Helen with Visible Image, they are just adorable and I cant wait to get my hands on all of them  There simply is something for everyone and every occasion. Take a look if you haven’t seen them yet here on the new launch page.

Ok friends I hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday and I look forward to seeing you here again next Wednesday.

Huge Crafty Hugs

Kim

What a beautiful card… love the blue and cream combo.  Perfect card for someone who’s had a rough time of it and are ready to come out the other side.

We have had a day packed full of inspiring projects from the team! We are finishing up with some gorgeous cards from Karen Liddle…

Time for me to show you a couple of cards using stamps from Visible Image…

Visible Image stamps - All My Tomorrows verse - Clockwork Heart - Karen Liddle

I used Aquatints to create the background for this one, on watercolour card.

The stamps I used are –
Bronte Script (background)
Cogs from Time After Time set  (background)
Plasma (background)
Clockwork Heart from Oz Tin Man set
Border stamping – flower stem from Flower INKognito

This background was created by stamping in Versamark, heat embossing with clear embossing powder, then blending inks over.  I did this 2 or 3 times creating layers.

Stamps used are –

Karen

Love these cards… the clockwork heart works brilliantly with our INKognito heart for a really different look! Gorgeous background on the second card too… I think we could all use some ‘ME Time’ and it makes me want to sit in a sunny meadow full of gorgeous flowers 🙂  Thanks Karen!

You can find more of Karen’s fab work over on her blog.

So that concludes another week of amazing work from our awesome team! What do they have in store for you next week? Well you will have to pop back every day to find out! We will be kicking off the week as always with our amazing Kim Bacon 🙂

Enjoy the last part of your weekend!

Listen To Your Heart – Visible Image stamps

Hi There 🙂 Thanks for visiting our blog today! We are catching up with all the latest Design Team inspiration today.

Here’s Doreen OBrien with her latest project…

Hello..

Well this is going to be my last live blog Post for a few weeks. We are moving house and I am having to pack away my craft room. I will still have scheduled posts to share though.

I have a Mixed Media canvas to share today, I first painted my canvas with acrylic paints, then using Archival black ink stamped some background stamps “Grunge Harlequin” and “Bronte Script”.My heart was cut out of some card, I  painted this and grunged it up a bit with a black pen. I then stuck this to the canvas with some PVA glue .

I stamped my words from the “This is Me Set” onto some card, cut them out and stuck them down. The canvas was then edged with some red Gelato and once it was all dry I sanded my canvas all over. xxx

Wow isn’t this awesome! Loving those colours Doreen. Such a gorgeous canvas <3

You’ll find more of Doreen’s wonderful work over on her blog.

Hope you will swing by a little later to see more fabulous work from the team 🙂

Bye for now!

Book Of Hope – Visible Image stamps

Good Evening 🙂 As promised we are back with more fabulous inspiration this evening.

Over to the very marvellous Kim Bacon…

Oh what a memorable weekend I have just had, a few big things achieved! Yesterday was a momentous day for us as we launched our ‘new’ boat. Beautiful little boat and I know she is going to give us some very happy days out.

Right, need to get on with the business in hand which is my inspirational project for my DT.

Last week saw the launch of a new set of stamps from Visible Image and I have used one of the Express Yourself stamps as the cover sentiment for one of my little books.

Visible Image stamps - If You Have Hope - Kim Bacon

This book has blank pages in so it could be used for little quotes but you could equally make a book to hold photos, addresses, or just as a shopping list.

I also used the small butterfly because I love this stamp!

Here are the links to the stamps I used.

See you next week for another Marvellous Monday and in the mean time enjoy your week, get crafty and show us what you have been up to!

Happy Days!  Kim

We love Kim’s little books and they are always admired on our show stands 🙂 This would make a lovely gift, especially with these beautiful words.

You’ll find more of Kim’s awesome work over on her blog and on her KimzKrafts Facebook Page

Need Some ME Time – Visible Image Stamps

Good Morning! Is it really Monday again so soon? Where did the weekend go?!?!  We had a busy weekend of decorating, it was nice to take some time out from ‘work’ 🙂

Today we are catching up with the latest projects from Karen Liddle and Kim J, and then a little later Kim Bacon will be here with her regular ‘Marvellous Monday’ post 🙂

First up it’s Karen…

It’s time for me to show you some more projects using stamps from Visible Image.

Visible Image stamps - Woman INKognito - No Space For Dreams sentiment - Karen Liddle

I made the background on my Gelli Plate using acrylic paints, and a couple of background stamps.  I then stamped Woman Inkognito in Versamark and heat embossed with black embossing powder.  I did the same with the sentiment.

Stamps I used are:
Cracked Background

Visible Image stamps - Me Time - Karen Liddle

For the background on this one, I used the ‘Shaving Foam Technique’, if you haven’t tried it you must, it’s so much fun.  The sentiment is one of the brand new releases, available now here at Visible Image.

I stamped the butterfly twice, once on the card and again on a piece of acetate, which was attached by the body and the wings bent up just a little, and finished of with gems.

Stamps:Me Time
Large Butterfly

Two great cards from Karen 🙂 Doesn’t our Woman INKognito look fabulous embossed <3  And we all need a little ME Time! Such a great stamp 🙂

Pop back a little later to see what Kim J has been creating… it’s stunning!

Have a great Monday 🙂

An Awesome Moment – Visible Image stamps

Hi There! Thanks for coming to visit us here on the Visible Image blog 🙂

Doreen OBrien has been creating some absolutely stunning samples with our NEW stamps! Over to Doreen…

Hello
I am back  with some inspiration using the gorgeous new Express Yourself  Visible Image stamps.

I have made a background of Distress ink that I have splashed with water, my Butterfly INKognito was stamped making sure I left enough room for the words, I then stamped my sentiment “Take the Moment” with black Versafine ink and clear embossed.

Last of all I stamped the Large Butterfly, coloured with distress ink and fussy cut it and stuck this down with some foam pads.

Visible Image stamps - Take The Moment - Doreen OBrien

For my second sample, I have made a wall plaque using the shaving foam technique for my background…Once dry I stamped and clear embossed my sentiment “Wake up Awesome” and then put some Sparkle Medium through a stencil

Thank you Doreen 🙂 Gorgeous backgrounds for these fabulous words! You’ll find more of Doreen’s beautiful work over on her blog.

Stay Strong – Visible Image stamps

Hi There! Thank you for coming to visit us here on the Visible Image blog today 🙂

If you have missed any of our previous posts you will find them HERE!

One of our stunning NEW stamps is rather special… Beautiful, positive words for anyone going through a tough time in their life. Kim Robertson has created a stunning canvas which would make such a wonderful gift.

Here’s Kim with more details…

Good Afternoon all

Well today I have an extra post for the fabulous Visible Image this week as they have a huge new launch day with new characters, and lots of new sentiments and really thought provoking phrases that are just not covered by any other team. I just love the individualism and combination of a fabulous artist/creator and an ingenious Poet and wordsmith /media specialist in fact Helen and Mark are the opitomy of Jack and Jill of all trades, and I am sure they won’t mind me sharing that with you all.

I created a Mixed media canvas which I would like to share with you all and I hope you love it as much as I do.

Visible Image stamps - Stay Strong - Canvas - Kim Robertson

I realise it is quite hard to pick up on the shabby chic sort of colourway but it is actually pale pinks chalky whites brown and gold in all the recesses I used the stamping on 1 ply of tissue to get the image transferred to the canvas method for this one coating it in PVA glue to hold it on to the surface and over the entire thing to protect it. It will wrinkle and bubble but that’s ok just leave it be to dry as it flattens itself out as it does.

I prepped my canvas then by adding a thick layer very roughly of texture Crackle paste around the sentiment in a frame shape, I heat dried it til it cracked then I added some hessian in places and also some cheese cloth and I dried that layer. I then took a stencil and ran some Grunge paste through the shapes which were splots dots , stripe , zigzag in a grungy pattern in random areas. dried again then began adding all the goodies.

After I had done that I started adding all my items to the canvas and here is a picture of all the items attached before all the colouring started.

You can see all the items in their original colours and what they all are here with mixes of gold and silver , green and turquoise flowers and how I built up the winged dragonfly in the bottom right corner.

I covered the whole thing except of course the main show in the centre which I shielded with card cut to size. To start I covered everything in Gesso in fact I did a few coats not only for opaque coverage but also for texture as some place I stippled the medium on rather than painting it will smooth brushstrokes.

After the gesso I went  in with a vintage chalk acyclic paint in a pinky/lilac cool tone and covered everything then added several spritzes of colours in browns/golds/mauve’s to the mix and dried in between each coat with a heat gun.

Here is that same corner finished with all its glitter.

I did not do a complete tutorial of every step as a piece like this is done in several steps and can be rushed but I  am a perfectionist it seems lol, but if you would like one please just let me know in the comments. I strongly advise a hot glue gun though for a piece like this as it will take longer having to wait for every part to set.

Here is the top right corner , I had some chipboard frames that were oval so I cut a piece of the frame and added that to the canvas then I found a little plastic cameo button , very ugly and cheapy looking lol so I made her beautiful with an old stone like texture.

I really just keep adding til I have a balance to the canvas and so it looks complete without being  over the top. Some may say it is if you like the minimal look but I do enjoy this style and you get to use up small left overs and such like.

Here is the finished piece again and I truly hope you will have a go or we can do a series on how too or some thing like it..

Visible Image stamps - Stay Strong - Canvas - Kim Robertson

The stamp I used for this one..

I absolutely love it. Anyway I hope you will go look at all the hard work put in by all for this launch and the amazing goodies made by a fab team HERE!

Love to all as always from my house to yours.
Hugs

Don’t Have Regrets – Visible Image stamps

Good Afternoon 🙂 Hope you are having a good week so far!

It’s Wednesday which means Kim Robertson is here with a brilliant step by step tutorial for you. Over to Kim…

Hello my lovlies

Well look at that sunshine we have been treated to recently, isn’t it so nice to leave work and there still be light and warmth too….

How are you all this week ? what have you been making?

I have been doing lots of crafting all over the weekend toward the fabulous new launch for Friday for our lovely Visible Image, amazingly gorgeous new stamps coming out on the 12th and I am sooo looking forward to all the fun.

Today I wanted to make something that reflected the bright Sky and happy feel of summer so here is my this weeks card for Visible Image DT.

Visible Image stamps - Good Times - No Regrets - Kim Robertson

It has some real fiery colours used on this one, the new Abandoned Coral and Wild Honey with  a tiny touch of Black Soot around the edges to bring your eye in. I am using the background as a feature for this one, rather than a huge focal point, so I have tried to keep it really bright and with lots to look at coming through in the background.

So as usual I have a full tutorial for you all to have a go at, and I hope you play along…

First I took the swirly stamp from the Plasma set of stamps and inked him up  (why is my stamp now a HE hmmm I don’t know why suddenly I have began an anthropomorphic phase with my stamps lol …I used Versafine in black and stamped Mr Plasma all over a piece of cream card ( I know it looks white but it really is more cream in the flesh as it were.)

My Usual colouring in technique with the first distress ink which is a new colour out this year called Abandoned Coral and this is what the first layer looks like, this is where it can be as patchy and all over and don’t give up it will come right the more inky layers you do the more it blends. Just like eye make up, the more light layers and blend in between the longer it lasts.

Here’s the second colour mixing with the last shade to form a real tutti frooti like goodness. the second colour of course is wild honey and where the two colours meet you get a real nice blend and an orangey glow.

After a few coats of colour I did my usual tone on tone using the same stamp I stamped some coral plasma balls in the Coral parts and Honey in the honey sections, etc.

Next I used the other stamp in this Plasma set and used some white Embossing powder with perfect medium sticky ink but first i dried the background thoroughly and rubbed over with an anti static bag and got it all very coated so none of the white embossing powder would stick to the ink on the card.

I spritzed a few blobs of water here and there gave it a few seconds then dabbed the ink away from the card to leave a few light patches for bubbles etc. I also gave the card front a good coating in the tattered angels glimmer mist, this colour is a pink shade shot through with goldy/bronze Mica to add a real sheen to the card.Very pretty.

I tried very hard to turn the card in the light to pick up the gold but you cant see the gorgeous sheen and stunning colour it is  in person really, just faintly.

I took some black soot distress ink and added it to the  edges of the card, to draw your eye in to the centre where we did all the  work on colours etc and blending I stampedNo Regrets which I embossed in shiny black embossing powder , here is a close up.

I used my black versafine and very quickly added the embossing powder too it before the archival ink started to dry.

I added a couple of mats just in simple black and white to give it a finished look as always.

Next I stamped out the Good Times sentiment on white card in black ink. but then I cut them all apart and matted them on black card too. I raised each one on a piece of foam to have them sitting a little proud on the backing.

I really wanted some sparkle on here, just a small amount but something really sparkly and I recently got some crushed glass glitter to try out and wow …. it is soooo sparkly it is crazy and even the camera picks it up a little.

No regrets14

I used this diamond dust just on the bottom two corners over glossy accents, just random dots all over the corner and the dust sprinkle on patted down and excess tipped back in pot. My goodness, I love this stuff!

Here is the close up of the left corner and below is the right and you can actually see even in these camera pics that there is a lot of clear sparkle , it truly is very pretty.

Right corner too.

No regrets complete2

And here are a couple more finished images of this weeks completed card. Lots of steps but not a complicated card with blending practise and inky layering goodness and lots of fun.

No regrets complete3

So the stamps I used from our amazing Visible Image are listed here…

I hope you are all having a good week , can you believe it is Wednesday again already.. I know I say it every week but it seems to have gone extra extra fast this week lol.

Ok my lovlies Don’t forget to come back this Friday for the new launch for Visible Image goodies!

Huge hugs from my crafty house to yours

Love
Kim

Never Give Up On Your Dream – Visible Image

Good Evening 🙂 We hope you have had a fabulous Friday, and you have something nice planned for the weekend!

Later on we will be sharing some more of our BRAND NEW stamps! But first, Pauline is here to inspire you…

Hi there,

Today I’m sharing a card I’ve made, using some fabulous Visible Image Stamps, a very simple card really. I made a background using Brusho’s, I liked it so much I didn’t want to cover it all, lol, I bet you’ve all done that too !!!!

Visible Image stamps - Never Give Up On Your Dream - Face stamp - Pauline Butcher

I used the Brusho’s on water-colour card, I spritzed the card with water, then sprinkled 3 colours on top, Blue, Yellow and Orange, spritzing to make them run into each other, it gave this cloudy day look. On a smaller piece of water-colour card, using similar colours of Distress ink, I mixed each colour with a small amount of water, and washed them over the card, adding more colour where I needed it.

The stamps I’ve used are…………
Grunge FlourishClassic Face and ‘Never give up on your Dream’ from the Sunshine Set.

I stamped the curly bit of the Grunge Flourish a few times to the left on the larger coloured background, stamped the sentiment using Versamark, and heat embossed in Orange powder.

Visible Image - Classic Face stamp - Pauline Butcher

Then on the smaller piece of coloured card, I stamped the Classic Face using Black Versafine ink. Using thick bleach and a small paintbrush, I bleached the colour out of the eye, then added some blue and orange to the iris, when it was dry I added Glossy Accents, for a shiny eye. I coloured her lips with a ‘Ripe Persimmon’ Distress ink wash and to finish off I added orange Stickles to the flourish, for that bit of sparkle.

Time to get your imagination going, pick up your inks and Visible Image Stamps, and enter the ‘Show and Tell’, for a chance to win some new Stamps, details HERE.

Go have a look at the Visible Image Facebook Group HERE, there’s always a buzz going on, and Helen is showing sneaky peeks of the new stamps, being released very soon, exciting stuff.

Just a couple of places left for ‘Pauline’s Inky Workshop’, in Warwick, Sunday June 14th, 10am – 4pm…
we will be playing with Bleeding Art Tissue, Alcohol Inks, and Distress inks, along with Stamps and Stencils.

Big Hugs, Pauline xxxxxx

Good Times @ Visible Image

Hello 🙂 Thank you for coming to visit us here today!

It’s Marvellous Monday here on the Visible Image blog so we will hand you over to Kim Bacon for today’s gorgeous inspiration…

What a truly Marvellous Monday it is today!

And what a truly marvellous weekend it was for me!  I hope you have arrived here on this fantastic Monday with as many happy thoughts as I have?

So, on to my inspirational piece for my DT using some amazing Visible Image stamps.

Visible Image stamps - Inky Flower - Good Times - Kim Bacon

Here I have used the popular INKognito flower stamp as my feature image and the Good Times quote from the Express Yourself range.

These sentiments are really versatile and guess what? Rumour has it there are some new ones coming out soon to add to the collection. But you didn’t hear it from me!

I started by creating the back ground. I used Brusho paints,  followed by some water stamping using the script stamp from the Revolution set. Then when this was dry I dry brushed over it all with Gesso. Then came some grey ink stamping with the same script stamp. It is very much a unique and unrepeatable effect although similar pieces can be created. Another reason to make more than you need for each project!

The flower, stem and sentiment are stamped using white embossing powder. I added some eyelets and placed the finished images onto some green card which had been stamped with the script using pale green ink for a subtle effect.

Here are the stamps I used, click on the image to link direct to the Visible Image online shop…

Feeling a little sad today as we say goodbye to the very awesome Amber Kroening! Amber has been on the team for the past year and a half and we adore her style!

This is Amber’s last Visible Image DT project...

Happy Saturday!  I went a little crazy with this card and used a bunch of different stamps.  It was fun to make!  The background was done with watercolors.

Masculine Stamps with a Feminine Twist @ Visible Image

Hi There! Thank you for popping in today 🙂

It’s Tuesday which can only mean one thing here at Visible Image! Here’s Sue Joseph with todays inspiration…

Hello fellow crafters
How are we all?
It’s ‘Soozie Tooseday’ again here at Visible Image

Today I wanted to give a feminine touch to something that is predominantly masculine!

Visible Image stamps - Life Is A Journey - Vintage Car - Sue Joseph

For my background I used pickled raspberry, spun sugar and salty ocean distress ink, sprayed with water, added random water droplets and flicked with white linen dylusions ink spray.

For the border I used the Tyre marks stamp

The pickled raspberry and salty ocean speckles created using the fantastic speckled background

and the sentiment ‘Life is a journey’ from the This is me set
