Shine Bright

Hello! We hope you have enjoyed seeing all the latest inspiration our amazing team have been creating with our NEW stamps!

This final post is sharing a few of the incredible cards created with our NEW Shining Bright stamp set.

Shining Bright Promo

Just look at the clever designing by Mark… LOVE the rays of light over the word SHINE and the lightbulbs are awesome!

The quote is so inspiring and the words mean so much to us.. especially at the moment!

‘Don’t let someone dim your light simply because it’s shining in their eyes’

(keep moving ahead and let your light shine even brighter!)

These stamps also work brilliantly with another very popular set we released last summer…

Glimmer of Light

Visible Image Glimmer Of Light Moth COL stamp set

Here are some of the stunning cards that have been created with these incredible stamps…

2017-02-24 Visible Image - light bulb stamp - glimmer of light quote - moths - Teresa Morgan

Created by Teresa Morgan: the background was created with brushos and distress inks.
Isn’t it awesome! Thank you Teresa ♡

2017-02-25 Visible Image - moth stamp -Shining Bright - Light bulb stamp - Nicky Gilburt

Created by Nicky Gilburt: the background was created with distress inks,
using darker and darker shades to build up the depth.
Looks amazing! Thank you Nicky ♡

2017-02-25 Visible Image - Shine Bright - Light bulb stamp - Nicky Gilburt

Created by Nicky Gilburt: I found my UTEE and made a quick stencil by stamping
and cutting out the lightbulb on spare card. Then, once I’d coloured it, I coated it with Versamark and got melty!
Stunning effect on the lightbulb! Thank you again Nicky ♡

These stamps are flying out the door… thank you so much for loving them!
It means the world to us ♡♡♡

Create Yourself

Hi there! We have an incredible project to share with you next, together with step by step photos of how it came together. We’ll pass you over to Nicky Gilburt…

2017-02-26 Visible Image - face stamps - unicorn - believe quote - Nicky Gilburt

Today I am sharing a big piece of work, it took me a few hours to accomplish this,
but I enjoyed every minute, even though it was challenging, and at times I didn’t breathe…!

This 20x20cm on Mixed media card was put together using these sets from Visible Image:

Believe in Unicorns

Face it!

Face shape mask and stencil

So it was quite the creative play!!!

1. I began by making my watery cloudy background on a piece of A3 Mixed Media Cardstock.
I used Nuvo Aqua Flow pens in Indigo Dawn, Azure Blue and Aqua Splash. In turn, and drying
with a heat gun between each colour, I applied strokes of brush colour to my glass mat, spritzed it
with water and pressed my card stock onto it. By drying it I had more control over what went
where and I built up a whole A3 background very quickly.

Then I selected the area on which to work and cut it down to 20 x 20cm size.

2. First stamp was the moon, the clouds and the stars. I heat embossed the moon and stars with
silver pearl, having positioned it so that I could then stamp one of the eyes and brows over it

3. I brushed over the eyelashes with an embossing pen and added some ultra fine clear
sparkling embossing powder over it, for a touch of glitter

4. Then I stamped the unicorn. and used a mask to cover it as I stamped the nose and mouth with
Archival ink. Then I added more clouds with distress ink. Also a few more stars

5. By applying the mask over the face and rubbing a blending tool with a little colour on, outwards,
I gave her some real definition in seconds

6. From the Create It set I added the tree, some falling leaves, and then some cracks, some flowers…
I just played with the piece until I was happy

7. I tweaked the unicorn by adding touches of white pen, just by following the picture
on the front of the stamp set

8. Penultimately – the words. I used white pen to highlight the ‘Believe’ sentiment, but I stamped
and embossed the ‘Create Yourself’ in white, and used lilac distress ink and a tiny paintbrush to create shadow on the page

9. And finally – a bit of bling – sequins, randomly planned and distributed,
glued with strong pva, and one gemstone, right over the splatted ink under the face’s left eye!

Happy crafting!
Nicky

This is incredible Nicky! Thank you so much ♡ You can just gaze at it for ages.. there is so much to discover!
Love the ethereal feel to it… magical! Really shows off how much you need the mask and stencil to play with too.

Thank you for visiting our blog today, we still have lots more inspiration to share with you.

How lucky are we to have such an AMAZING Design Team showcasing our awesome new stamps!

Born To Dance

Hi there! So sorry our blog has been neglected of late! It has been a crazy busy time with the UK trade show last week and our TV show next week!

Pauline is here today to share some absolutely stunning inspiration with you…

Hellooooo,

I’ve used another of those awesome new Visible Image stamp sets for my share for this week,
the beautiful ‘Born to Perform‘ set.

2017-02-25 Visible Image - Ballerina stamp - born to perform - Pauline Butcher

I have kept it quite plain, as I wanted the ballerina to really stand out, so I stamped the image using Versamark,
and heat embossed it using black embossing powder, then just using a couple of colours of Distress ink,
I blended them around her. I added the stars and the sentiments, again heat embossing with black.

Then came the fun bit, blinging it up, lol….. Stardust Stickles inside the stars,
and on top of the Tutu, whilst the Stickles are still wet, I added soome different coloured glitters.

I am holding another ‘Pauline’s Inky Workshop’,
in Warwick, on Sunday March 12th, 10am – 4pm, £25 per person,
we will be making 3 colourful cards using various inky techniques,
along with some awesome Visible Image Stamps, some Donna Downy stencils, and some Stamps by Ryn.
Please contact me if you are interested ……. robingphipps@msn.com

Thanks for visiting, hugs, Pauline xxxxx

Wow! Your tutu is incredible Pauline!!! Absolutely beautiful card thank you ♡

Isn’t our ballerina fabulous… it’s all in the detail, from the shading on the silhouette to the ink spraying off her tutu!

The Battles We Have Won

Hello! We have some super gorgeous inspiration here on the blog today from Veerle Moreels…

2017-02-11 Visible Image - crack stamp - mixed media tag - Veerle Moreels

For my previous project I shared a video tutorial where I worked with one of the new word stamps Visible Image released called ‘Scars’  Well today I would like to sneak in and show a second project I made using the same stamp ^.^ I can’t help it…I just think it’s such a beautiful stamp.

I needed some structure this time and ended up with this mixed media tag…

2017-02-11 Visible Image - stamps - scars quote - mixed media tag - Veerle Moreels

I gave my butterfly some scars using the crackle stamp from the ‘Create it’ set.

Reveal your face…

Hello! Thanks for coming to see us here on the Visible Image blog today.

Wow you are loving our NEW Face it stamps! We are incredibly happy about that! Thank you ♡

We have all been having so much fun with them, and we can’t wait to start showing you all the different looks and ways these awesome stamps have been used. The creative possibilities really are endless!

Ok, so I am by far the least experienced crafter on our creative team..  my talent lies more with creative writing. But, I am a fast learner and art is ‘in the blood’ in my family, with my very talented Grandfather designing one of the main roads here in South Wales – the A470 which  links Cardiff to the valleys. My Mother is a very talented artist, my Sister is and brilliant architect, and my Brother a structural engineer who designs incredibly complex buildings! Me, I managed to pass my ‘O’ level Art exam in school, achieving a not too shabby grade B! Since joining Mark at Visible Image I have barely had any time for crafting, as we had always been so incredibly busy making stamps. I am making the time now though… and loving every minute of my inky journey!

Ok.. enough about me and on to my face!!!

I wanted to play with our NEW Face Shape stencil and mask first, and wondered
how it would work just holding it down on my card and spritzing brushos around it…

IMG_2468

I liked the way some of the paint seeped through so it didn’t have such a harsh edge

IMG_2469

While waiting for that to dry, I stamped out some of the flowers from our Create it set
on a brushos background I had previously made.

IMG_2473

I cut them out, not being too careful as I didn’t want a perfect look for them (and I am
not very patient!), and then I splattered them with some white dylusions paint

IMG_2477

I am liking the effect!

IMG_2478

While they dried, I went back to my face…
I stamped the features in black versa fine ink and coloured the eyes and lips using distress ink

2017-01-29 Visible Image - Face stamps

Next I stamped and embossed my chosen quote from our Own it set in black!

IMG_2474

Then I coloured it in using 3 brightly coloured alcohol pens

IMG_2480

I matted my card onto black, and then on to my card blank.

Next I started to lay down my flowers randomly at the top and down one side of her face,
and added some pink dylusions paint to the centres to bring them to life

IMG_2631

At this point I felt the purple lips need to be PINK!
Not the ideal time to change your mind BUT…
This gave me an idea!

I thought how cool they would look slightly raised, as if she was pouting!
So I stamped more lips using picked raspberry distress ink, and stuck them
on top of my original lips! I then added some wink of stella to give them some sparkle!

2017-01-29 Visible Image - Face stamps - Face it - reveal your colours - Helen Alexander 3

The pink lips bring together the pink in the flowers and the lettering really nicely ♡

I am pretty pleased with my very first FACE…

Tweedles in Wonderland

Hello! Thank you for coming to visit us here on the Visible Image blog today!

Are you enjoying our NEW stamps previews? #7 will be along a little later.

First of all we have some more fabulous inspiration to share with you, so we will pass you over to our Australian DT member Dot Leathbridge…

Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee have caught my eye at Visible Image this fortnight.

The stamp set has one tweedle on it, but if you white out the pupils of the eyes and redraw them with black fine liner, then you have them both!

2017-01-18 Visible Image - stamps - Tweedledum - character - Dot Leathbridge

Finally I overcame my ‘fear’ of using the gelli plate and had heaps of fun creating some backgrounds.  The background behind the background was an off-cut of one of these.  I don’t know what I was so afraid of!

The tweedles were easy to colour in and easy to cut out! Love that!

I have been adding to my stock and now have quite a good range of Visible Image stamps for sale in Australia….so, exciting times ahead.

Enjoy!
Dot

Thanks Dot! What an awesome card! Love love loving that background ♡  Looking forward to seeing more of your gelli plate creations! You will find more of Dot’s gorgeous projects over on her blog, along with her contact details.

All our current character stamps are sadly retiring, so if you want to get your hands on them you need to be quick! They have over 30% OFF right now!

You will find them in our Retiring Stamps section along with some other fantastic designs! Sadly the Cheshire Cat has already sold out…

Jazz Tags

Hello there! We have some awesome inspiration for you today from Elina Strömberg…

Hi!

Last week Helen and Mark, the lovely and super talented couple behind Visible Image revealed the design team for year 2017. I’m so happy and proud to be part of this hearfelt team, and I know already now that our new year will be AMAZING!

There are so many gorgeous goodies coming up, so I suggest you sign up to Visible Image Newsletter to make sure you don’t miss any news, special offers and new releases. You can also follow Visible Image on Facebook, instagramPinterest and Twitter!

This week I wanted to show you two colourful tags I made using stamps from ‘Jazz It Up’ and ‘Rays Of Light’ sets. The background is a simple size 8 manila tag, coloured with yellow, blue and green Brushos. Brushos are very intense paint powders that produce brilliant vibrant colours when mixed with water. This time I did not sprinkle the powder directly on wet paper, but first misted by crafting mat with water, sprinkled brushos on the water drops, and picked up the colour with a dry tag. The nice thing about Brushos is that like watercolours they are pretty unpredictable, so you cannot fully control the flow of colours. That’s what makes the creative process so much fun!

2017-01-11-visible-image-jazz-it-up-tags-brushos-elina-stromberg

The Brusho colours did not cover my backgrounds completely, so once completely dry I inked the tags with yellow Distress ink. Then I used a green ink to stamp random circles on the bottom of the tag, and heat-embossed the trumpet player on the tag using black embossing powder.

Black splatters are made with thick embossing powder I just sprinkled on the tag. For attaching the loose powder I heated the tag from underneath.

Yellow and turquoise seed beads are simply glued down on the tag, and white splatters are made with acrylic paint.

I love the contrast between the black image and the colourful background. When using bright colours I always like to add both white and black to the project; they really make the bright colours pop!

Dreams…

Hello! Thanks for stopping by our blog!

Today’s inspiration comes from me.. Helen! If you missed my post earlier this week you’ll know that I am embarking on my own personal ‘inky journey’ this year. I hadn’t crafted since I was a child, and having only made a few cards and tags over the past 5 years (since meeting Mark), I have much to learn! Writing is my passion, words are my ‘thing’, so I’m really excited to see where this year takes me, now that I have a bit more time to be creative and messy!

I wanted to get the brushos out as I just love the randomness of them.. you never know what your background will look like and it’s so much fun experimenting! I prefer to sprinkle first then spritz with water, and then add more powder in places to get a deeper effect. My card was really wet so that I could hold it up and let the paint run.

brushos-1-helen

I just love the black so had to add some of that!

Once dry I chose my favourite part and cut it to size to fit one of our MDF Monoliths, so that I could create a piece of home decor rather than a card.

brushos-dry-helen

Next was to decide which stamps to use, as I have so many favourites at the moment!!! I decided the background looked quite dreamy so chose this set…

visible-image-no-space-for-dreams-col-stamp-set

I randomly stamped the dotty circle from our Universal set in first and second generation stamping, using Wilted Violet Distress Ink. Then stamped and embossed the gorgeous sentiment and dreamcatcher using stampendous detail black. I distressed all around the edges of my card with black soot.

I then splattered some black and white dylusions paint, and added some colour to the dreamcatcher using distress inks, and last of all added some sparkle with a quickie glue pen and some fine glitter.

visible-image-dreamcatcher-stamp

I had originally painted my Monolith white but I didn’t feel it looked right, so had a last minute change of plan and gave it a coat of gorgeous purple!

2017-01-07-visible-image-stamps-no-space-for-dreams-mdf-monolith-brushos-helen-alexander

I think it turned out quite well! My very first Monolith! What do you think?

While I was waiting for paint to dry I used some of my ‘practice’ brushos background to make a matching card.

background-1

I randomly stamped some more of the awesome background stamps from our Universal set using a few different colours, I think they work perfectly with brushos! I wanted to keep the dreams theme so stamped and embossed one of my favourite Visible Image sentiment stamps in black..

where-dreams

And again randomly splattered some white dylusions paint.

I distressed the edges of the card with black soot to give it more depth, before mounting on my card blank.

I really love how it turned out and how incredibly quick it was to make!

There Is Always A Glimmer of Light

Hi there! We have some awesome inspiration for you here on the blog today from Corrie Herriman…

Hello everyone,

Welcome to the first post for Visible Image from me for 2017 ! Back in December I bought a Verday Paint kit and I couldn’t wait to try it out. It comes with 4 acrylic paints; iron, copper, brass and bronze and a bottle of patina. I used the copper on my Monolith project.

visible-image-mdf-monolith-moth-stamp-corrie-herriman

Front of the Monolith. Love the copper with the blues and greens.

The back

Some detail

 Close up of the moth

Close up of the texture and sentiment.

So, to make this, I started with a gessoed Monolith on which I glued some metal rings and some art stones. I then put on a coat of the copper paint. This has to dry and then I put on another coat and while this is wet I put on the patina. I love the blues and greens you get while it oxidises.

I then added some stamping to the back and heat embossed with copper embossing powder which happens to be exactly the same shade so it is only a texture I have added.

I coloured a piece of paper with blues and greens and stamped the sentiment, layered it on some black card stock and adhered to the back of my Monolith.

For the front I repeated the paint/patina steps until I was happy with the result. Next I stamped the moth on white card stock and coloured it, cut it out and adhered it to the Monolith. I used the same-ish blues and greens for the wings.

I think it turned out fab !

I used the following stamps and a Monolith of course..

Don’t Let The Rain Dull Your Sparkle

Hi there!

It’s Helen here sharing my first card of 2017! I’ve not had much time to craft over the past few years and am still a beginner really. So I’m very excited to have more time to be creative this year and am looking forward to learning lots of new techniques on my own personal ‘inky journey’.

Just before Christmas our new studio was built in our garden…

It’s the perfect place to create! We’ll be sharing some photos of inside soon, still a work in progress at the moment!

I wanted to start the year as I mean to go on, so on New Year’s day evening I escaped to the studio to create a quick card..

My background was created with distress inks blended into each other. I then added some black soot distress ink along the top then spritzed with water and let it run down the card. After a quick blast with my heat tool I flicked some diluted dylusions acrylic paint over the card using a paint brush.

The quote was embossed in silver which has a sparkle to it (not captured in the photo sorry!).

The sassy lady was embossed in black, fussy cut and mounted on foam pads for dimension. I used a touch of black soot with some water to create the puddle to ground her.

Hope you like it!

Still sparkling despite the rain – Visible Image

Hello! Thanks for visiting our blog today!

We have lots of inspiration to share with you today… catching up with all the fabulous cards and projects our amazing team have been creating.

Here’s Pauline who loves a bit of sparkle…

Hellooooo,

I hope you are all well, and as there has been rather a lot of rain lately, I thought that my ‘Visible Image Stamps’ inspiration this week, should emulate the weather, lol, so I used their awesome Sparkle in the Rain’ stamp set.

I started off with a piece of A4 white card, and gave it a spray with a Purple and a Lemon ‘Starbust’ spray ink, from Lindy’s Stamp Gang, super vibrant colours which are full of lovely mica, making a fabulous glimmer. I then cut my card, to fit a 6″ card blank. I used the rain stamp and the puddle stamp with some versamark, and heat embossed with some ‘Sparkling Snow’ powder, by Wow.
On some heat resistant acetate, using Versamark, some Black Wow Embossing powder, and the Lady Stamp, I heat embossed, and fussy cut it, adding yellow Stickles to her Umbrella and her boots.

On some more white card, I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment, fussy cut it, then coloured it with some Distress Inks.

Still a couple of weeks to enter the ‘Show & tell’, for a chance to win a £25 voucher, to spend on luscious new Visible Image goodies.

Live Like Tomorrow Doesn’t Exist – Visible Image

Hello there! Thank you for visiting our blog today.

Gez Butterworth has a fabulous mixed media card to share with you today created with our awesome Tomorrow Doesn’t Exist stamp set…

Good morning! I am delighted to be sharing a card with you today created for Visible Image

I am really enjoying creating backgrounds with the fabulous range of paints and special mediums from DecoArt teamed together with the fabulous images from Visible Image what more can you ask for !!!

First of all I created a background using Black Gesso and washi tape followed by some random stencilling. I coloured some of the Texture Sand Paste with Pyrrole Red acrylic paint.

I painted over most of the texture paste to help push it into the background.using media fluid acrylic paints.

Once everything was dried I spritzed the background with DecoArt media Misters..

Then getting quite lost in the process.. again ! I forgot to take photographs.. I added some clear crackle glaze over the top of the texture sand paste and ink drips to see what would happen.. I LOVE the result..

I just had to show you a glorious close up !

Gorgeous textures and crackle !

My finished card..

Does it get any better !!

I stamped directly onto the background using stamps from the Tomorrow Doesn’t Exist stamp set.. masked the girl and added some ink splats and glittery swirly doodles !

Thank you for calling and leaving a comment if you get the chance.
