Tweedles in Wonderland

Hello! Thank you for coming to visit us here on the Visible Image blog today!

Are you enjoying our NEW stamps previews? #7 will be along a little later.

First of all we have some more fabulous inspiration to share with you, so we will pass you over to our Australian DT member Dot Leathbridge…

Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee have caught my eye at Visible Image this fortnight.

The stamp set has one tweedle on it, but if you white out the pupils of the eyes and redraw them with black fine liner, then you have them both!

2017-01-18 Visible Image - stamps - Tweedledum - character - Dot Leathbridge

Finally I overcame my ‘fear’ of using the gelli plate and had heaps of fun creating some backgrounds.  The background behind the background was an off-cut of one of these.  I don’t know what I was so afraid of!

The tweedles were easy to colour in and easy to cut out! Love that!

I have been adding to my stock and now have quite a good range of Visible Image stamps for sale in Australia….so, exciting times ahead.

Enjoy!
Dot

Thanks Dot! What an awesome card! Love love loving that background ♡  Looking forward to seeing more of your gelli plate creations! You will find more of Dot’s gorgeous projects over on her blog, along with her contact details.

All our current character stamps are sadly retiring, so if you want to get your hands on them you need to be quick! They have over 30% OFF right now!

You will find them in our Retiring Stamps section along with some other fantastic designs! Sadly the Cheshire Cat has already sold out…

It’s Good To Be Different

Hi there! Thanks for dropping by 🙂

Corrie Herriman is here with some awesome inspiration for you today…

Hello everyone,

For today’s post for Visible Image I have made a card.

2017-01-17 Visible Image stamps - Cheshire Cat - circles - dare to be different - Corrie Herriman

I used a gelli printed background. I think this one was from mopping up leftover paints from the plate. I added the white circles by stamping with VersaMark and white embossing. I also added some black splatters by diluting black acrylic paint with water and using a round paintbrush to splatter; I just tap it onto another brush or pen to make the paint come out in splatters.

I then stamped the sentiment and stamped the cat on top of it. This is really easy as the stamps are clear and you can see what you are doing. I then stamped the cat again on white card stock and coloured her (I added eyelashes to make her a girl) with Copic Markers, cut her out and adhered her on top of the one on the card. I then glued the panel onto a white card base.

I used the following stamps:

Universal

Dare to be Different

And of course: Cheshire Cat which has been so popular it has sold out!

Artist Trading Block – Visible Image White Rabbit

Good Evening! Hope you are having a nice Sunday.

Susanne Rose is here with her latest inspiration…

It’s my day today to share some inspiration with the super unique Visible Image Stamps.

I made a Artist Trading Block (ATB) with the awesome “White Rabbit” stamp set. I colored the rabbit with Distress Inks (Mermaid Lagoon, Barn Door and Pumice Stone).

I cut the cube with the Silhouette Cameo and primed it with gesso. I inked it with the Gelatos (Metallic Mint, Magarita Mix, Chocolate and Black Licorice).

I added some texture with modeling paste and a stencil. I used a stamp from the “Ink Splats” set from Visible Image to add more interest. The gears are cut with a die from Noor! Design.

I hope you like my ATB.

Christmas in Wonderland @ Visible Image

Good Morning and Happy Friday to you!

We have a crazy busy day ahead here…making loads of gorgeous stamps to take to the NEC next week! We hope to see you there 🙂 It’s going to be so much fun! On top of all the awesome stamps on our stand, and of course the stunning Design Team samples for you to drool over, Pauline will be holding Make & Take sessions too! Creating some rather funky tags… We’ll be sharing her projects with you very soon!

We have some amazing inspiration for you here on the Visible Image blog today… Something Christmassy, something vintage, and something ROCK!

We start off with this stunning card from our Swedish Design Team member Lisa Nygards…

Now when we’re soon turning the page over to November I can start feel the christmas vibes. No feeling outside yet though, but I don’t mind that. We get snow over here so it will be more than enough anyway. We’ll also get the freezing cold temperatures for a way to long period.

Today I’ve used Alice in Wonderland and made her a little bit more christmas-ish then usual. The magic drink she has will probably turn you into Santa or something… who knows! The big word stamp Merry Christmas in the background is stamped with Versa Mark (no color embossing ink) direct on the Kraft Cardstock base. Alice is cut out and mounted on 3D foam to get a bit dimension.

Monochrome White Rabbit – Visible Image stamps

Hi There! Thank you for coming to visit us here on the Visible Image blog today 🙂

Lots of awesome inspiration coming your way this weekend. Here’s Susanne Rose with another fantastic Alice In Wonderland themed project…

Today it’s my day for Visible Image Stamps. As an exception I created a monochrome card this week. My main image is the lovely white rabbit from Alice in Wonderland. I love this image and the sentiment is so true!

I used the Retro Dots for my background and the ornaments from the Revolution Set to embellish the card. The doily is a Cottage Cutz die.

Cheshire Cat Canvas – Visible Image Stamps

Hi there! We are back with our 2nd post today.

Susanne has been creating amazing things with our Wonderland Cheshire Cat stamp set, and has another brilliant project to share with you today. Over to Susanne…

It’s my day today to share some inspiration with the super unique Visible Image Stamps. I created a little mixed media Canvas with the awesome Chesire Cat. The background is created with the Neocolor II watercolor pastels.

The smiling face is stamped with Memento Lux. I used the Neocolors also for coloring the cat image. I build my palett by scribbling the colors onto an acrylic block. I apply the color with a wet brush.

Mixed Media Tag – Visible Image stamps

Hello 🙂 Thank you for visiting our blog today.

Susanne Rose is here to inspire you this evening with an amazing mixed media tag…

Hi everyone! It’s my day to inspire you with some of the awesome and so unique Visible Image Stamps. I did a mixed media tag and used one of my favourite Images: The Cheshire Cat:

Visible Image stamps - Wonderland Cheshire Cat - Susanne Rose

The background is a gelli print. I had a failed one and tried to rescue it. I am very happy with the result. Here are some step by step instructions on how you can turn a mud gelli print into a great background:

That was my background and I didn’t like it, so I used a bit of gesso at first:

I added some oranges with my Neocolor II watercolor pastels and the Portfolio watersoluble oil pastels:

Now I removed the color through a stenicl (this one is Bubbles from ARTplorations) with a wet baby wipe:

Now I used my homemade tag stencil to cut out the tag:

After cutting it out I stamped some interest with the script stamp from the Visible Image Revolution Set using Archival Jet Black Ink.

Before I stamped the lovely cat, I painted some gesso to lighten up my background:

The Cheshire Cat is colored with Neocolor II. I added some interest with a white and black UNIPosca Marker.

The Hurrier I Go – Visible Image stamps

Good Evening! 🙂  Hope you are having a great Saturday!

We are back with some fantastic Wonderland inspiration for you from Susanne…

It’s Saturday again and I’d like to show you my newest card with Visible Image Stamps.

I used the lovely White Rabbit Stamps set. It is so fun!

06-20-2015 Visible Image stamps - Wonderland White Rabbit - Susanne Rose

The little sweety is colored with watercolor pencils.  I used papers from My Minds Eye for my background layers. The gear wheel is a die from Noor! Design. After cutting I covered it with Versamark ink and added some gold PanPastels.

To give my card a more distressed look I added some gesso to the patterned papers and painted the card base with wax crayons.

I hope you like my card, thanks for stopping by, see you next time, Susanne.

Isn’t this awesome! Loving the circle of cogs and Mr Rabbit looks amazing 🙂 Thanks Susanne!

Wonderland Altered Book – Visible Image stamps

Good Afternoon, thanks for coming to visit us today here on the Visible Image blog 🙂

It’s Thursday which means two things….

Just ONE more sleep until our NEW stamps release 🙂 🙂 🙂

AND… Teresa Morgan is here with her weekly inspiration and wowza will she inspire you today!!!

Over to Teresa…

Hello again and welcome to my thrilling Thursday inspiration post. This week I have been playing with the fabulous Wonderland characters and decided to put them where they belong….in the pages of a book!

Visible Image stamps - Alice In Wonderland Book Project - Teresa Morgan

I got a big chunky book from the charity shop for this project as I needed some depth (in this case it was an epic Wilbur Smith novel)!!

Visible Image Stamps - Wonderland Characters Altered Book

I opened the book about a centimetre in from the front and started ‘carving’ chunks out of the pages with a craft knife. This is quite easy as long as you have a good sharp blade! I wanted to create a layered effect, so every so often I changed the outline of the aperture I was cutting. Once I was happy, I used some Mod Podge to glue the edges of the pages together to create a solid block. I find the easiest way to do this is to put a piece of cling film or acetate between the ‘front’ section and the carved ‘back’ section. Then use a glue spreader to apply the Mod Podge to the edges of the pages in the back section, pressing it in so that it seals them together. Weight the book down and leave overnight, then repeat if any sections are not stuck properly.

Visible Image Stamps - Wonderland Characters Altered Book

I coloured all the characters with the Warm Grey Promarkers then cut out. Once happy with my arrangement of them, I glued in place, tucked in the pages. I finished with some playing cards that I made with the Harley Jester set and the little signs using words from the character sets.I added some Pumice stone Distress Ink to the pages to add some definition to the layers.

Which Way To Go? Visible Image stamps

Hi! Thanks for stopping by 🙂

Teresa Morgan is here with a fantastic new card to share with you…

Did you all have fun over the weekend on our Facebook page? Were you one of the lucky winners? If so, congratulations!! We certainly enjoyed seeing all your fantastic Visible Image projects!!

On to my project for today – I wanted to try out the new Ranger ‘Sticky’ embossing powder and metallic foils and thought that the Large Winter Tree stamp would be perfect for creating a foiled border around my card.

Visible Image stamps - Winter Tree - Gold Foil - Teresa Morgan

To start, I used Peacock Feathers and Vintage Photo Distress Inks to colour my card, love this combination, so rich and warm! Then I stamped the tree around the edge with more Vintage Photo ink. A quick blast with my heat tool to ensure the ink was dry, and I stamped the tree again with Versamark ink and used the Sticky embossing powder (which is actually glue, not embossing powder) and some copper foil. This was matted onto Copper pearl card.

I inked up a small piece of card and stamped the sentiment from the Cheshire Cat set. I edged this card with Black Soot Distress ink and added some foiling, before matting onto more copper pearl card.

Magical Cheshire Cat

Hello! It’s Tuesday, the sun is shining and you are loving our stamps… what more could we want 🙂

Sadly Sue Joseph is suffering with awful flu still, so today Pauline Butcher is here to make Tuesday Terrific!
Get well soon Suze, we are all sending healing hugs to you xxx

Over to Pauline, who has a grin on her face…

Hello Crafty friends,

I’m sharing a card I made using a fabulous set from Visible Imagehe is a cheeky little chappie, and I just love him.

Visible Image stamps - Wonderland - Cheshire Cat - Pauline Butcher

The stamp set I used is…..

This is a 6″ x 6″ card, I took my topper and stamped the Cat in the middle, and coloured him using my Promarkers. Using a fine pointed paintbrush I painted over him with masking fluid, being careful not to go over the edges of his out lines. I placed the topper onto my glass mat, and with masking tape, masked off 1/4″ around all the edges. Using yellow acrylic paint and a wide brush I roughly painted the background, as the cat is covered with masking fluid, you don’t have to be too careful, when it was dry, I used Blue Acrylic paint with the wide brush with very little paint, and made criss cross patterns. When it was dry I randomly stamped the grinning face using Black Versafine ink. Again I left this to dry before I removed the masking tape, and with my finger gently rubbed off the masking fluid ( I love doing this, lol !!!) Using Black Versaine ink, I stamped the sentiment around the edges, then added Stickles and Glossy Accents to finish.

Don’t forget to check out the ‘Show and Tell’  challenge for your Visible Image makes, only a few days to go for this month, get your entries in.

There’s lots going on in the Visible Image Facebook Group too, check that out HERE.

Thanks for popping in,

Hugs, Pauline xxxxx

What a fantastic card! Love the background, it’s purrrfect for this magical Cheshire Cat!  You can get your hands on him right HERE!

Have a great day 🙂

Wonderland Journal Pages – Visible Image stamps

Good Morning 🙂 It’s a gorgeous sunny day here in South Wales, still very cold though. Really looking forward to some warmer weather and lighter evenings.

Today we have a very special project for you from Teresa Morgan. We hope you will be inspired to get your hands on our brilliant Wonderland characters. They’re timeless…

Visible Image stamps - Alice in Wonderland Journal Pages - Teresa Morgan

I have used the new Wonderland characters from Visible Image for my journal pages (I think that the queen has been chopping off heads again!!)

Visible Image stamps - Queen of Hearts

Visible Image stamps - Cheshire Cat
I started by doing the text, one of the Cheshire Cat’s quotes, then used the Grunge Check background stamp to fill the top and bottom areas (masking off the text with some paper).

Visible Image stamps - Alice in Wonderland

Visible Image stamps - Tweedle Dum Tweedle Dee

I used the drip stamps from the Drag and Drip set with some red ink to fill in another area, and filled the final area with lots of doodled hearts.

Visible Image stamps - Mad Hatter

Visible Image stamps - White Rabbit

I stamped and coloured the characters from the Wonderland stamp sets using Promarkers, cutting some of  them down to head and shoulders to fit the page.

I love how this turned out and hope that you are inspired to create something with these fantastic Wonderland characters!

Stamps used:

Steampunk and Rock – Visible Image stamps

Hello 🙂 We are back with our second post today! So much inspiration!

Over to the amazing Lisa Nygards…

Welcome Wednesday.

For my first card I’ve been playing and mixing the words from Alice set with Edgar from Visible Image. For the second one I’ve rediscover some foil, and just know I had some sticky embossing powder so I digged through my boxes and found it. So, everything on the card is covered with foil! You’ll find the set Rock Out here, and the circles are from the Universal set.

I stamped the rocker and words with Versa Mark ink, covered him with ”sticky embossing powerder” (there is several names on that product that acts the same, it becomes like a glue when you’ve melted it). Right after the powder melted I put on the sheet of foil. Then I just rubbed it easily with my nails like you do when you use rub-ons. You can probably use a bone folder or something too, just be gentle. You can see when the foil sticks and then you just pull it off. The line around is drawn by hand with a 2-way-glue pen. Let it ”dry” and then add the foil. I had a bigger 2-way glue pen, and I added that direct to my circle stamps and stamped with the glue! Waited until it was ”dry” and then added the foil once again. So easy and so fun! The golden circles are die cutted foam tape that I’ve added gold foil to.

Tweedledum and Tweedledee @ Visible Image

Good Evening! It’s our third and final post today. If you missed the others you will find them HERE

Over to the awesome Teresa Morgan who has some superb Wonderland inspiration for you...

The Wonderland range of stamps from Visible Image have been a massive hit and everybody is loving the characters, including me!!

This week I am sharing a couple of cards with the cutest twins around – Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee:

Visible Image Stamps - Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee

I layered the faces and name tags using 3d foam, adding a bit of twine around their necks for extra detail. They are coloured with Promarkers and the background was created with a mask and Black Soot Distress Ink.

Visible Image Stamps - Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee

For my second card, I used the circle design stamp from the Universal set as my background design (love this set, it is so versatile, and a ‘must-have’ in my opinion!) I stamped the brush stroke design from the Drag and Drip set and added red embossing powder, then stamped the sentiment on top with black StazOn ink.

Again, the characters are coloured with Promarkers, and mounted on 3d foam.

Spring Time in Wonderland @ Visible Image

Hello and thank you for coming to see us here on the Visible Image blog today 🙂

The sun is shining, it’s Friday, and Pauline Butcher is here to share another fabulous card with you all…

Helloooo,

Another week has passed in a blurrrr, not enough hours in the days to do all the crafting I’d like to, hehehehe !!!

Today’s share from Visible Image Stamps, is a card made with the fabulous White Rabbit from the Wonderland collection.

Visible Image stamps - Wonderland White Rabbit - Pauline Butcher

A slightly different take for me, I wanted it to look fresh and Spring like, and could be given as an Easter Card, so I kept the inking to a bare minimum.

I stamped the Wabbit, he is sooooo cute, with Memento, and coloured him with Promarkers, adding some glossy accents to his eyes and watch, and a glitter pen to make some faux metal buttons and around the watch.

I used very little Distress ink, just around the edges and to ground him, then stamped the Winter Tree to either side, and the sentiments that come with Wabbit.

I hope you’ve added some Visible Image creations to the ‘Show & Tell’, there’s a chance of you winning some stamps, if yours is chosen at the end of the month.

The Visible Image Facebook Group is buzzing at the moment, come and join in, loads of inspiration, and another place to share your Visible Image creations.

I have ‘Pauline’s Inky Workshop 3’ on Sunday, we will be playing with coasters, I shall photo’s and results on my blog in the week.

Hugs, Pauline xxxxx

What a fabulous ‘spring’ card.. Mr Rabbit looks so cute! Loving the colour scheme. You will find more of Pauline’s awesome work over on her blog

Have a fantastic Friday, and pop back over the weekend to see more awesome Design Team inspiration from Amber and Zoey 🙂

For this card I used the Queen of Hearts, I think she is ACE!

Love her hair, attitude and outfit, perfect sentiment and that jar of hearts is adorable 🙂

I used the Q and hearts from the Harley Jester set, this goes perfectly with the Alice in Wonderland sets 🙂

For the background I used the swirl from the Galaxy set.

Visible Image stamps - Queen of Hearts - Sue Joseph

For the Queen I used my promarkers, for her hair, eyes, lips and jars I used clear embossing powder, on her dress and crown I used fairy dust to give some twinkle and added jewels to her crown.
Finishing off with flat backed hearts 🙂  Mounting onto black and red card.

Alice in Wonderland @ Visible Image

Hello there! Thanks for popping in to see us 🙂

Today is all about our fabulous Alice in Wonderland stamps. If you missed this morning’s post you will find it HERE.

Over to Kim Robertson with today’s 2nd inspiring project…

Hi Folks

Huge Good Mornings to all…

Today’s card is something totally different and I hope you like it as it is using of course the fabulous Visible Image and their new little character of course Alice…  in wonderland and wow isn’t she a beauty.

I just loved her the minute I saw her and wanted to do a backing befitting her so I started by drawing the hole and get some dept to it with several shades of Grey promarkers , I drew the whimsical tree to create the backing with a little bunny poking his head from around the tree. Alice had to have a book of course and the tree had to have a little door and a few other little extras. I stamped out Alice and coloured her and cut her out with fussy cutting, I then added her to black card and cut her out again, I used foam to raise her from the back ground too and added a huge pocket watch and some tiny keys here and there. I stamped and cut out the sentiment from the set and added a black backing too and added it ti the top right of the card.

Here is the main image  I very much was going for the whole story book image theme and I loved how this turned out looking so three -D like a story book page.

Visible Image stamps - Alice in Wonderland - card by Kim Robertson

I also stamped the little cake out from the set and stamped several in a row and coloured them all with pastel colours and added them to black card and foam to add as a border for the bottom.

Here is a close up after I coloured Alice with Promarkers so you can see how gorgeous she looked. I went for a different hair colour to the traditional as I liked it with the blue dress.

And once I had her positioned on my background  I just love how her hair turned out and the handrawn hole with the ladder turned out really well and gave a lot of dimension to the hole piece.

I love this sentiment too it made me smile from the first read. This launch really just screamed inspiration from the moment I saw all the gorgeousness and it is really just the beginning for this fabulous company and great friends.

You can see my tree in the background which again was Promarker coloured with several shades of Brown ( not Grey lol)

Here is a close up on the little story book scene and you can see the background also has its own mat and layers to keep it looking neat and smart and very clean but definitely not simple.

I chose a completely black and white card scheme and a hand drawn by me back ground to compliment Helen and Marks gorgeous Alice in Wonderland set  I hope I did  them justice and they love it as much as I do.

Ooooo the gorgeous looking cake border… yummmmm

Visible Image stamps - Alice in Wonderland - Kim Robertson

So again here is the main Image for you to see all together.

Everyone on the team really has done some amazing work with all the stamp launches for the Stitches trade show up at the NEC last week, and lots of the work is being showcased each day here on the blog.

So for today lots and lots of love to all and I hope you are having some milder weather where you are and spring is in the air.

Best wishes to all
Kim

Wonderland Alice @ Visible Image stamps

Hello there! Thank you for coming to visit us here on the Visible Image stamps blog today 🙂

It’s wonderful Wednesday… wonderful because we have double Design Team inspiration for you today and the theme of the day is Wonderland!

Here’s Lisa…

Welcome wednesday!

Today I’ve played with a character that I think many of us recognise.. Alice in Wonderland. Oh, at least everyone except me then… lol. I can’t remember I read much of that book as a child so maybe I need to update myself with the story a bit.

Anyhow, you’ll find Alice and a some of her friends at Visible Image. Since I don’t know much about the story, I thought violet was a perfect color for the girl today.

Wonderland Queen of Hearts – Visible Image

Hi there, thanks for coming to visit us 🙂

Here’s Teresa with today’s awesome inspiration with our NEW Queen of Hearts stamp set…

It’s Thursday again, and that means it’s my turn to share some more projects with the fabulous new stamp sets from Visible Image. Today I have two cards and a canvas that I made with the beautiful Queen of Hearts… It’s a long post – so sit yourself down and enjoy!!

Visible Image Queen of Hearts

I used a spotty mask and Distress Inks (Festive Berries and Fired Brick)to create the background of this card. The image is coloured with Promarkers and Copics and mounted with 3d foam. I stamped the words onto the banners and added some Tea Dye Distress Ink before attaching with 3d foam.

Visible Image Queen of Hearts

My second card is a Valentine’s card….

Visible Image Queen of Hearts

I stamped the Forest background with black Versafine ink before matting onto red and black card. I stamped the sentiment onto another piece of card and trimmed to size, adding a touch of red to the tiny heart,

The Queen and heart jars are coloured with Promarkers and attached with 3d foam.

Visible Image Queen of Hearts

My canvas…

Visible Image Queen of Hearts

For my final project I took a 7×5 canvas board and covered with black gesso. I used some white gesso through a diamond mask. Once this was dry I spritzed some gold mica spray over the canvas.

I decoupaged the stamped roses, shaping the petals to create a 3d effect then added some red embossing powder on the bottom edges.

Visible Image Roses

I glued them in place and stamped some of the Drag and Drip stamps underneath and added more red embossing powder.

I made the playing cards with stamps from the Harley Jester set and added Pumice Stone Distress Ink around the edges. These were attached with Pinflair glue gel to create dimension.

Visible Image Queen of Hearts

The queen was coloured with Copics and Promarkers and attached with 3d foam.

Entirely Bonkers Hatter – Visible Image

Good Evening! Late post today… been rather busy preparing for something that’s happening tomorrow 😉

Firstly it’s over to Teresa for some ‘Bonkers’ inspiration with one of our NEW stamp sets!!!

I was so excited to receive some of the fantastic new release stamp sets from Visible Image – especially the Wonderland character sets – I’m secretly hoping that a few more drop through my letterbox!!!

Today I introduce the Mad Hatter to you (you may have seen a preview of him the other night in the Visible Image Facebook group).

visible image mad hatter wonderland stamps

I used black Memento ink to stamp him then coloured with Promarkers and Copics. I added some detail with a black Prismacolour pencil.

The background was created using one of the Plasma background stamps embossed with lilac embossing powder. I then over-stamped the ‘ha ha’ and used Wow flourescent yellow embossing powder.

The words were stamped with Spiced Marmalade Distress ink – the perfect shade of orange!
